  33. more common spellings and pronounced names, I understand where you are
  34. coming from.

  104. great uncle, his name was Val!  Also, my DH is Robert.  One day his boss

  107. there?"  Oh, well, live and learn!

  123. I made my pie and put it in the oven...i even cut an apple shape out of the
  124. crust and put it on top.  It looked great.  I pre-heated the oven and waited
  125. 40 min like the reciepe said and took my pie out of hte oven.  it looked
  126. perfect.  I could see my dh's and the boys mouths water.  when i cut the pie
  127. it was NOT done.  I could have cried.  our ovens over  here are so old and
  128. Yucky to say the least.  they are gas and the gas does not pass through in an
  129. even streem and there fore the oven will not keep a constant heat.  Well it's
  130. the first time i tried to bake a pie and now i am not sure i wanna try again.
  131. at least till i get this oven fixed.

  232. OK for 4 months now I have been wanting to send something to Giggles.  With
  233. everything from learning to take care of a new baby to spending much of
  234. that time either in the doctor's office or hospital, I haven't done it.  I
  235. promise myself before I went on vacation I would send her the card I have
  236. made her.  But noooo I don't do it, now I just got another card from
  237. Giggles.  It really made my day!   I haven't received a card in so long and
  238. it was so fun to get one.

  305. I received the paper pocket swap hostessed by Mona Everett.  And she
  306. included some GREAT paper samples.  I'm going to play with some fabric
  307. and my paper today!

  309. Sharie Rose did a very bright cheerful card with a lot of sunflowers
  310. mounted on a folded pocket.  Gives me some ideas.  Also included is a
  311. silk flower at the fold.  Very pretty and "happy".  I love it.
  312.  
  313. Unknown is a v shape pocket done with a roller and with tissue inside
  314. holding a little packet of tiny goodies.  And a ribbon holds the pocket
  315. so you could hang.  These would be great for Christmas or other
  316. holidays.
  317.  
  318. The other three pockets were probably more what Mona had in mind but I
  319. for one LOVED the variety.  As Always!!
  320. Stanna Allen did a folded "square" pocket with little Easter/Spring
  321. goodies inside.  Tied with a ribbon.
  322. Deb Coller did a larger version of the square packet with a Rose basket
  323. and charm from it.  Very pretty and loved the rose theme.
  324. Finally, unknown sent a square pocket with spring grass and stickers
  325. inside.  Another great example of the folding.

  591. I got me second cce card for April from Sherry Webster in Calgary, AB.

  593. For a minute there I thought the little bugger had gone out and bought a cool new 
  594. stamp and didn't tell me about it.....but then she told me it was her mother's.

  596. On a piece of vellum Sherry stamped a nice scenery stamp with a windmill and 
  597. houses by a lake with a sailboat.....how picture perfect....makes me want to take a 
  598. vacation.  This is stampped in blue, embossed with clear and highlighted from the 
  599. back with blue marker.  The vellum is on a light blue cs.

  637. RULES:  Use white cardstock (glossy or non-glossy) cut to approx. 4 1/4
  638. X 5 1/2 (one quarter section of an 8 1/2 X 11 sheet).  Stamp one image
  639. (or two if they are the small single character ones) in black,
  640. non-smearing ink (Marvy Mathchable, Outliner, Archival, etc...) or
  641. emboss in black EP.  Do not color in!!!!  I would like to concentrate on
  642. the larger House Mouse images (card-sized), but if you need to use the
  643. single character stamps, put two on the quarter-section (you will get
  644. one image for two of yours).  Multiple sets (especially of different
  645. images) are very welcome.

  647. This will be a quick, easy swap that will allow you to "test-drive" some
  648. of the other House Mouse images you have been drooling over.  No cards,
  649. no coloring, just kerplunk (and emboss, if desired) and pop them in the
  650. mail.  The exciting part will come when you get to play with all the
  651. images you get back!!

  653. I know there is a swap going on for cards, etc made from House Mouse
  654. stamps, but this is just a way for us to exchange images and expand our
  655. selection (at least temporarily).  Definitely - the more the merrier!

  981. reservations and it's called in a loud voice! I think after the first couple
  982. of times, she and my BIL started making reservations under our maiden name,

  1371. With everyone talking about names and pronunciation, I just wanted to
  1372. throw in my little story.  When I was pregnant with my youngest daughter
  1373. I looked for a long time for an unusual name...I didn't want the old run
  1374. of the mill names.  I finally decided on a combination of my mother and
  1375. fathers name.  My father's name was Chesneter and my mother's name was
  1376. Anita (but everyone called her Neet).  So I named my daughter Chesney.
  1377. She is now in the 8th grade and of course she hates her name......oh
  1378. well don't we all?
