From: "Melanie Wortman" <rubbernutpress@sprint.ca>
Subject: RS: TAN: A cookie monster
While waiting at the airport terminal for her plane to begin boarding,
a
woman sat reading a newspaper. Earlier, she had purchased a package of
cookies in the airport snack shop to eat after she got on the plane.
Out of
the corner of her eye, she noticed that the man sitting next to her
was
eating a cookie. She looked down and noticed that her package of
cookies
had been opened and the man was eating them. The woman couldn't
believe
that the man would have such nerve as to eat her cookies. So that she
wouldn't lose all of her cookies to the man, she slowly reached over,
took
a cookie, and ate one herself. To her amazement, the man continued to
eat
more cookies. Getting more and more irritated, the woman removed all
but
one cookie from the package and ate them.
At that point, the man reached down and took the last cookie. Before
eating it, though, he broke it in half and left half of the cookie for
the
woman. This made the woman so angry, she grabbed the empty package
with the half cookie and crammed it in her purse. Then, to her shock,
she
noticed that there in her purse was her unopened package of cookies.
Sometimes when we judge or condemn others, we end up judging or
condemning ourselves. Have you ever been too quick to pass judgment on
another? When we do that, we put ourselves in a precarious and often
embarrassing position. Check out all the facts, ask questions, listen
carefully, and give people the benefit of the doubt. There is One Who
loves mercy more than judgment. Fortunately for us all, we can know Him.

I received a delightful Easter card from Giggles. It couldn't have come at
a better time. Something just for me, not even asking about the baby (it
seems everybody is more interested in the baby than myself and frankly, I
get a little tired of the same 'ol conversations again and again...).
Yeah!!! It made me feel special and I can't thank you enough!

There have been a few rumours running around about ICQ charging 10 cents

We are really moved by your concern and care for ICQ. We appreciate the
many inquiries, suggestions, banners and messages. It is a true
testimony how well ICQ really took the internet by storm.
Every now and then, a new message concerning ICQ is circulating on the
ICQ network. Some of them are really funny, others are very creative
(such as one we received: AIR, WATER, LOVE, AND ICQ SHOULD REMAIN
FREE...), others, if you think about them for a second, make no sense at
all - and are an insult to the wisdom of the receivers, and
unfortunately some of them are sheer bad taste. Our old users have
gotten used to it and simply ignore them. But since we have a huge
inflow of new users, tens of thousands of new ones each day, there are
always users which are being exposed to this phenomenon for the first

We would like to suggest to you, our new user, that when you get such a

Hi Jeniffer,
I have one important comment. The liner should be a bag that is food
safe!!!!! If you use the kitty liners, they have a chemical in that that
might cause people to get sick. I work at a winter lodge that use to make
popcorn ahead and store it in large trash bags. One day every one who ate
the popcorn got sick. It was because of the chemicals , the lab said only to
use food safe bags. Ones that are made for food.

Here's an April Fools Cake...
=======================
KITTY LITTER CAKE
- ----------------------------------
For all you kitty lovers out there (hey, April Fools is right around
the corner!) Here's one that always causes a rukus. It's gross
looking, but it tastes great.
==========================
~KITTY LITTER CAKE~
- ----------------------------------
1 Spice or German Chocolate Cake Mix
1 White Cake Mix
1 Pkg White Sandwich Cookies
1 large pkg Vanilla Instant Pudding Mix
Green food coloring
12 small Tootsie Rolls
1 *new* kitty litter box
1 *new* kitty litter box plastic liner
1 *new* pooper scooper
Prepare cake mixes and bake according to directions
(any size pans). Prepare pudding mix and chill
until ready to assemble.
Crumble white sandwich cookies in small batches
in blender, they tend to stick, so scrape often.
Set aside all but about 1/4 cup.
To the 1/4 cup cookie crumbs, add a few drops
green food coloring and mix using a fork or
shake in a jar.
When cakes are cooled to room temperature,
crumble into a large bowl. Toss with half the
remaining white cookie crumbs and the chilled
pudding. You probably won't need all of the
pudding, mix with the cake and "feel" it, you
don't want it soggy, just moist; gently combine.
Line new, clean kitty litter box. Put mixture
into litter box.
Put three unwrapped Tootsie rolls in a microwave
safe dish and heat until soft and pliable. Shape
ends so they are no longer blunt, curving slightly.
Repeat with 3 more Tootsie rolls and bury in mixture.
Sprinkle the other half of cookie crumbs over
top. Scatter the green cookie crumbs lightly
over the top, this is supposed to look like
the chlorophyll in kitty litter.
Heat remaining Tootsie Rolls, 3 at a time in
the microwave until almost melted. Scrape them
on top of the cake and sprinkle with cookie crumbs.
This is my addition--only: spread 5 of the remaining
Tootsie Rolls over the top; take one and heat until
pliable, hang it over the side of the kitty litter
box; sprinkling it lightly with cookie crumbs.
Place the box on a newspaper and sprinkle a
few of the cookie crumbs around. I don't know
about you, but my cat ALWAYS makes a MESS!!! : )
Serve with a *new* pooper scooper.

I am still waiting for my little bundle o' joy.....my due date is tomorrow
and somehow I have no hope that he is going to join us in the world outside
of my aching body!! To make matters worse, tomorrow is my birthday and I
am feeling especially depressed. It seems like nobody is planning anything
special for me because all the focus is on this baby...wah!!!!!
Ok, I started this message on the 14th, by bday was the 15th and now it is
the 16th....still no little guy but I am feeling less sorry for myself!!!
My bday was very nice, although my daughter did just about pitch a fit
because I wanted pie for my cake and she, of course, wanted cake. I am
still wishing this baby would come and I have tried just about every trick
in the book to encourage him. Ultimately, I'm trying to adopt a zen sorta
attitude whereby I tell myself the baby will come when the baby is ready.
So everybody now, ommm, ommm, ommm.

I will be placing an order with them probably about the first week in May.
They have mounted and UM. Great Stamps at a GREAT DEAL (30% discount +

I like tomato sandwiches, cucumber sandwiches, even used to eat pickle

Subject: RS: Frans State Swap - I got my cards too !!!
New mailman this week and he won't leave anything that cant fit through the
slot so I had to get to the PO and I did it last night.
Well I got my wonderful fantastic 50 cards !!!!and they are all wonderful,(I
want to re do my cards )Okay Fran time to do another swap !!
Lets see I get to tell about :
Guam: By the Boonie Stamper ( Kim Jones)
Great card !! Speckled creme cardstock - with another peice of cardstock same
color and torn around the edges with a Native image ( God I stink telling
about cards!) ep'd in gold and Guam is stamped in blues and greens - what a
great look for the card perfect for the area she is representing !!! - I cant
do it justice its so pretty and it just stands out. On the back is a great
stamped image of a lizard or reptile in the same blues/greens as Guam is on
the front. I want that stamp, Kim who makes that lizard stamp ???
Thanks Kim, your card is just fantastic!!!
On to:
Kenya: Fran and Cindy !! - The Zebra from PSX ( I have this stamp and never
thought of this before Duh!) stmaped on white cs and ep'd in black cut out and
mounted on red stock that is mounted on white in strips going across and then
mounted on black cs. What a striking stunning card, so simple yet elegant and
striking ( yeh I said that twice).
Now on to:
Saskatchewan: Sherry Webster : The beautiful PSX Lily stamp stamped on has to
be a handmade paper - sorta ( Told ya I suck describing cards) rough and soft
at the same time, very pretty tanish cremes colored layerd onto textured navy
cardstock. The Lilys look wonderful soft and elegant looking I think its
watercolored butit so pretty and danity lookin, peachy colored lilys and the
greens fr the stems are soft.
Sherry sorry I mangled the describtion of your card, its so pretty and danity
- - thank you !
Last Card:
Michigan: Erna Jensen
Erna did a great card medium blue cs for the card and then she placed a map of
Michigan done on yellow paper with black print over that and then All that is
deckled edged. Shes got a great old fashioned Gas Pump and Two Old Fashioned
Cards stmaped colored in reds and greens then mounted at different angles onto
the map paper- its great, so funny and what a great way to use the stamps,
what a bright cheery card it is.
Well describing them was torture - Ididnt do them justice they are all
wonderful and Fran has to do it again, I need to redo Mass.
Thanks Fran and Cindy for sticking with this amazing swap and for such
patience and concern. Thanks also to the 4 players who made the great cards
in 2 weeks, everyones card is just wondeful and Im hanging them up as soon as
we move.

WOW....i can not say that word enough about the "junk" carole sent me. I dont
even know where to begin to describe what carole did with my "junk" i had
stamped a few of my fav stamps on one watercolor sheet and colored them and
sent them to carole. she made the most beautiful cards out of them.. sent one
as a shaker card. put lots of different colors of glitter on a couple. I
feel like i didnt do justice to the "junk" she sent to me since she sent me
such wonderful cards. Carole is it alright with you if i use these beautiful
cards as raks? I would love to share what you did with others.....
I used a water can with garden tools a psk k size stamp and also a garden
angel was another. Carole you are such a great stamper. now tell me where i
can get some of that glitter. i gotta try that

I got the coolest rak from Anita Baronowsky . She did a card on glossy paper
. It is brayered in pink , yellow, blue and green , and has a lacey background
to it . Embelished with a bow ,beads and gold spiral ribbon . Very nice.
Then she also sent wallpaper pieces, some neat cs with stamped images on them
and some cool bows . Isnt she the best. I think so
Thanks lots, Belinda Muench
