  266. Does anyone else besides me have a cooling toward scrapping?  I've been
  267. scrapping for 3 years, stamping for 5 months.  I'm so into stamping right
  268. now that I haven't even touched my Christmas pictures--and I'm caught up
  269. until then.  My mom sent home 6 albums of my childhood pictures to work on
  270. in Feb. and I havent' touched them.  I think I'm going to take them back to
  271. her in June because I just can't get into it.  I almost wish I'd never
  272. started, but then I'd never have gotten into stamping 'cause my scrapping
  273. buddies (hey, Doris, 
  274. Shel, and Christine!) got me into stamping.  I just wish I knew I wasn't
  275. the only one who went "off" stuff like that for awhile.

  359. I have this chalk!  I've never sprayed after using and so far it hasn't
  360. faded/smudged.  It's been 5 months since I started using it and my mom has
  361. been using/displaying cards I've made with it since then and nothing has
  362. happened to them.  I have some Aqua Net hairspray (recommended as best) to
  363. spray for a sealant but I read that it could yellow after awhile. 
  364. Personally, I'll probably never use it for anything and I'll take my
  365. chances with the chalk.  They're sooooo great for soft colors--much nicer
  366. than watercolors!

  600. flower stamped on watercolor paper and watercolored (of course).  She then

  608. a duck and an Iris.  On the inside, she listed several of the state's
  609. nicknames.

  611. IOWA by Mary Sieker:  Mary created a stunning card featuring the Iowa postal
  612. stamp which she had enlarged and color copied.  Her card is done on bright
  613. green cardstock which has been stamped with a cornstalk over and over (I love
  614. the effect of the cornfield!).  Then she placed a map of the US and colored in
  615. where Iowa goes.  On top of that is the postal stamp mounted on yellow
  616. cardstock.
  617.  
  618. VERMONT by Michele McNamara:  Done on Romaine Columns cardstock, Michelle
  619. stamped a covered bridge and mounted it on a decorative edge white cardstock.
  620. She then added a stamped image of the state of Vermont, and 3 beautiful
  621. stamped and embossed autumn leaves.  The inside of her card contains Vermont
  622. historical information.

  624. I love looking at these cards and reading them.  These are soooo neat!!  They
  625. could be used in a classroom for geography lessons... lots to learn from
  626. these!

  1037. **Send ten (10)** cards 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 inch cards (half sheet of cardstock).
  1038. Don't fold!
  1039. Include an ADDRESS LABEL (SAML) for me to use to return the cards.
  1040. **Send $1.00 for mailing the cards back**

  1042. **(see above)** DON'T COLOR.  Use WHITE - can be glossy or matte.  Stamp in
  1043. black ink that won't smear if colored with markers, or you can emboss.
  1044. Tip:  Vivid!  or Outliners ink pads work great!

  1046. EXCEPTION:  Verses are ok in color - if they seem to look better  
  1047.  
  1048. If you want to do different images on the cards instead of all the same, that
  1049. is fine.  Please include stamp credits.  Put your name and e-mail addy on the
  1050. back of each card.  All cards must be postmarked by the last day of each
  1051. month.
  1052. Stamp things that will be EASY to cut out.  Remember you will have to cut out
