Subject: RS: Re: rubbertown-l: Tombos pens
Tombow pens (I love the brush tips!) are great for coloring images,
especially on coated card stock (mat or glossy). They have a beautiful
transparent look to them, and blend beautiful. Multiple passes with the
same color darkens the color, making it easy to add contours and
shading.
I love my marvy's for coloring on stamps and my brayer, but I would
NEVER trade in my Tombows!
Smiles!

Subject: RS: Need Poem please...
Hello Rubber Stamper Sisters and Brothers!!
Tuesday is the day I find out if The Humane Society will grant me adoption of
Dakota. Please remember to pray for us... Thanks!
My main reason for writing is this...My SIL has to have one of their cats
euthanized on Monday 4/6. The cat is only about 3 y/o, but the vet just
discovered heart disease which is uncurable. The cat (Dutchess) is suffering
and there is no hope. Tomorrow my MIL and BIL will take Dutchess to the vet
to be put to rest. I need the poem "The Rainbow Bridge" to sent to my family.
My SIL, Linda, called me tonight, in tears, to tell me about Dutchess. I
cried with her, Dutchess is a wonderful cat...very snuggly. She will be
greatly missed, both by her human family and her cat brothers, Sneaky Pete and
Little Guy.
Rest well, Dutchess. Furry Monster, Puff, Rusty, McGee, Cat, Max, and the
Angels are waiting for you.
With a heavy heart, I am,

BTW--thanks to this list, everywhere I shop now, I think in terms of "how can

From: "Jackie Haynes" <jr_haynes@email.msn.com>
Subject: RS: TAN: Had a wonderful day yesterday....
We uncharacteristically decided to miss church and go to my parents
house. We packed up the two youngest boys (10 and 4), and headed out with
some stuff to throw on the grill for burgers when we got there.
If you've never driven in Southern Missouri in the springtime, you're
missing a beautiful sight. This is God's vacation ground! The Ozarks have
gorgeous, gently rolling hills. You may drive right through an area where
they had to blast through rock to lay the road. Towering limestone on both
sides. Makes you wonder what the world was like so many years ago, when
each one of the hundreds of layers of rock you can see, were being formed.
How long it took to for each one of those layers of limestone! And what
changes have occurred since! This is a karst region, so, often you'll see
water seeping from between the layers, to fall to the base of the cut out
area.
Upon passing through the rock, the landscape will open up to a panorama
of hills and valleys, cedar forests and pastures with lazy cows munching
their way to a pond for a morning drink. The trees are beginning to bud out,
so there is just a hint of green on the branches. The dogwoods are in bloom
as are the redbuds, and a tree with delicate yellow flowers. ( I think it's
sassafras.) So here and there are lovely splotches of color, brightening
up areas that might otherwise look brown and lifeless.
This was a rare day of enforced relaxation for my husband and I. A
day to remember the simple things in life. A walk down to the river to skip
rocks and look for crawdads. Investigating a tissue-paper looking wasp nest
left from last year. Digging in the road for that one special rock that
looks like a dinosaur bone. An excursion to Beef's house to look at the
approx.. 18-inch diameter tree trunk that has been wedged in the branches of
another tree, 12 feet off the ground, from the force of the water when the
river has angrily risen from it's bank. Sitting in a rocker on the front
porch of a log home as we watched purple martins diving in the air for their
supper.
We drove home, with the sun going down and streaks of purple,
pink, orange and yellow on the horizon. The boys were asleep in the
backseat, their gentle little boy snores as music to our ears. Holding
hands with my husband, no words were necessary. This was the day that the
Lord had made, and we were rejoicing in it.

Barbara,
You can get wrapping paper and do the same thing with the freezer paper.
You say you can't find the right tissue paper, well, if your cs is
pastel, you can always get flowered tissue paper that compliments the cs
or any patterened tissue paper that has the same color in it as the
cardstock. Make Sense?

Ooowie, that must have hurt. 2 year old can be really hard on the
body....mine whacked me in the face just like yours did and broke my two

babies were hard on your teeth when you were pregnant, I had no idea that
it could last into childhood.
