>>I dont usually come on here and flame anyone and this is not my intention
to
do so. but for those who dont know and need to know be very careful of
this
person. I know her well as her DH is in the same unit here in germany as
mine. She will make commitments just to cancle them at the last minute.
She
had me place several vender orders for her in her name then to not pay me
when
the merchandice came in but still wanted her merchandice (which i did not
give). she used my computer to get online and signed up for many swaps
then
not to ever make the cards or send them. I left her in charge of my
children
while i was in my childcare training for FCC and instead of watching my
chilren she spent the who day online running up my aol bill. for those on
aol
you know how to access this info and understand. The last time she came
over
she went into my stamping supplies and just tumbled through them doing
damage
to one partiular stamp and to a few inkpads. At the time she was going
through my things her dh sat there and watched and i was inconviently on
the
phone with my dh and couldnt stop her.
So if she asked to join your swaps please be careful. If she places
orders
with the venders dont hold your breath.
Like i said i dont usually flame people here but this person caused me
considerable problems here with in the military community and is not to be
trusted

It's official! We're growing and there's room for more!
Somerset Studio readers...Did you happen to notice those fabulous little
Post-It Books on page 10 of the March/April issue? I had a wonderful
time making several of these in just one day using a variety of exotic
papers! They are simply beautiful! Perfect to carry yourself, or give
as gifts, with a supply of these on hand you'll wonder what you ever did
without them!
Name ~ Exotic Paper-Post It Books
Hosted by ~ Debbie (Classy Stamper) jjbjj@ptialaska.net
Items ~ 3/3, 6/6, 9/9, etc. (I'm playing so there is no need to send an
extra.)
Details ~ Please use any type of the many beautiful exotic papers
available. You may use all the same papers or each one can be an
original! This is a great way to try out Exotic Paper samplers offered
by vendors on the list. Remember that a focus of this swap is exotic
papers, so please do not use images. There is also no need to include
post-it pads. Embellishments and purchased post-it pads may be added by
individuals after receiving their swapped books. Please include a note
with each book including your name, e-mail and type of exotic paper use.
Mailing info ~ Send your books in a bubble lined mailing envelope. I
will try to re-use your envelope, so please include a SAML and equal
postage.

From: "Diana Stagg" <mimistagg@email.msn.com>
Subject: RS: Tan: Am I an over protective/over sensitive MOM ?
When I was expecting each of our 2 children I took very good care of my
self...so that I would have "Perfect" babies...and I did. As the years went
on I have been accused many times of being over protective because there
were many things that I didn't feel that my children should be subjected to.
They went to church and belonged to church orginizations, we prayed at home
and they were taught the "Once and for always" marriage phylosophy. It is a
constant puzzle how 2 children that come from the same parents and have
experienced the same things can have such different values. Most of you know
my own "Stamparoni" Heaven knows that I talk about her enough. I don't
believe any of you know "The Other" her brother. He is a jeweler and
very talented, has 3 children (one of which is a 3 week old son) When he was
born I was so very pleased to have a daughter and a son...we could stop with
the children then and try to do the best we could with the 2 we had. SO WHY
ON EARTH would this son that we love so -choose to mutilate his body by
punching holes in the "Family Jewels" to dangle rings from ? I am not
being funny, I find nothing funny about this...it bothers me a lot. I know
it's his...but good heavens ! I really am having a hard time with this. I
cannot tell his father ! He nearly disowned him when he got an ear pierced
many years ago. I suppose if I read this post from someone I didn't know I
would snicker at this point (If this hadn't happened to us first that is)
And if you don't have a child I guess you won't be able to relate to this.
I just don't understand !!!!!!

Maybe this will work. Take reinkers and mix blue and white till you get
the color you want. Then take a uninked pad and ink it with the color
you have created. Store extra ink in a jar or something. Maybe it'll
work.

You will lose everything anyway. AOL deletes mail you have read after about 5
days. Or, if your mailbox is full, you aren't getting it. And if your
preferences are set to automatically save to your Personal File Cabinet, it is
saving to your hard drive anyway.......
I am always fascinated to know how people can predict that the hard drive is
going to crash anyday. What are the symptoms? And, if you know that, can it
be avoided? And if it can be avoided, what steps can you take to avoid it?

Subject: Re: RS: Re: ink.. colors.. um.. - my way
I have had the same problem. I picked up some blank ink pads and developed my
own colors or rainbows. Using reinkers, try mixing white in with the light
blues until you get the color you want.
While I hate to mention a name brand I picked up the PSX stamps pads, without
case--- put the pad on waxed paper for inking and stamping then slide the
whole thing into a zip lock for storage, keeps forever. When I want that
color again I use tweezers to get it out.
Also did this with VIVID's I wanted to emboss. Because they dried so fast I
put some globs of Embossing Ink on the pad over the color I made up and
smooshed it together then stamped. It came out terrific, wet enough for
embossing yet brightenough for the true colors to come through.

TEN LAWS THE NET NEEDS
There are more than 50 bills before Congress that propose some
kind of Internet regulation. Before the legislators ruin
everything, we've taken the lead and drafted ten of our own
Internet laws. We'd like to see laws that deal with the real
issues of today's Internet, like spam, privacy, and--yes--even
pornography. Best of all, you have a chance to vote on which laws
you'd like to see, and which you'd rather leave off the books.
The polls are open...

bunch of screwy stuff has been happening with our computer and he said he
KNOWS the hard drive is going to crash at any time. I don't think there is
anything you can do to STOP the hard drive from crashing. I mean you can
transfer your data from the bad hd to a new one to avoid loosing files, but I
don't think you can stop a hd from crashing. Anyway, we had a hd that crashed
before and everything that was on the server on AOL was not lost !!!! So I'm
just going by that :) Jenn

- When you say, "I'm sorry", look the person in the eye.
- Be engaged at least six months before you get married.

- In disagreements, fight fairly. No name calling.
- Don't judge people by their relatives.
- Talk slow but think quick.
- When someone asks you a question you don't want to answer, smile and
ask,
"Why do you want to know?".
- Remember that great love and great achievements involve great risk.
- Call your mom.
- Say "bless you" when you hear someone sneeze.
- When you lose, don't lose the lesson.
- Remember the three R's: Respect for self; Respect for others;
Responsibility for all your actions.

- When you realize you've made a mistake, take immediate steps to
correct it.

living. That is wealth's greatest satisfaction.
- Remember that not getting what you want is sometimes a stroke of luck.
- Learn the rules then break some.
- Remember that the best relationship is one where your love for each
other
is greater than your need for each other.

What I wondered when I read this was....
How come you keep letting her come to your house and
How did she get your AOL password and
Why would you leave your children with her?
Personally, I think being wary of a person you don't know well is a good
thing. Especially if you're giving them access to your home/things/kids.

From: Lynette Walters <lynettew@ptialaska.net>
Subject: Re: RS: Tan: Am I an over protective/over sensitive MOM ?
It's strange that you brought this up - I don't know if anyone else
watched 'Politically Incorrect' last night, but they were talking about
the new law in California that states anyone under 18 now has to have
permission in order to have any body piercing done. Some of the
comments made were about how they felt this law would just encourage
kids to do it themselves, or have it done at places that would no longer
be required/regulated to have sterile environments. The general
consensus is that this is just a passing fad, and that at least it's
better than getting a tatoo, since body piercing holes will close up in
a matter of a few weeks if the recipient no longer wants it (or
hopefully decides that this was a dum idea!).
And I don't feel you are being overprotective or over sensitive - this
is your child and you have every right to feel this way. My personal
opinion is that this is really a stupid thing to do, and it is beyond me
why someone would want to do this to themselves. But, then again, this
is a grown person and if they want to do this, there's really nothing
you can do. But I sympathize with how you feel - I think alot of things
that are happening these days are really sickening - all you have to do
is turn on the nightly news to find this out. As for telling his
father, I think the only thing that would do is upset him, and sometimes
it's just better not knowing. And Diana, this is not a reflection on
you - you did your best in raising your children, once they are grown
they have to make their own decisions - and sometimes they may not be
the right ones, and hopefully someday they will understand. I know that
I had two of the most wonderful parents in the world (my biased
opinion), and didn't learn to appreciate all they did for me as soon as
I should have, either.
Hang in there, Diana - I don't feel it's funny, either - this is your
child and you are just worried and concerned.
Hugs-
Lynette
