Subject: RS: HUM.....
My recently divorced bro received this and got a little excited!! Hope
you enjoy it!
Louwanna
twinklinglou@juno.com
A recently divorced woman is walking along the beach contemplating how
badly treated she got over the divorce settlement, when she spies a
magic lamp washing up onshore. She rubs the lamp, and out pops a
magical genie!! The genie notices her anger and lets her vent her
troubles to him. As a consolation, the genie informs her that he will
give her three wishes. But, he cautions her that because he does not
believe in divorce, he will give her ex-husband ten times the amount
of whatever she wishes.
The woman is steaming mad, thinking that this is hardly fair, but she
makes her first wish. The first wish was for a billion dollars. The
genie grants her wish and she finds herself sitting in pile of one
billion one-dollar bills.
The genie then reminds her that her husband is now the recipient of 10
billion dollars. The woman can barely contain her anger when she
makes her second wish. The second wish was for a beautiful mansion on
the shore of her own private beach. In an instant it was granted, but
the genie then reminds again that her ex-husband now owns ten of what
she wished for, and points out at the beach to a small development of
ten such mansions.
Upon hearing this, the woman takes her time to contemplate her last
wish. Just as the genie was about to give up on her, the woman
informs the genie that she wants to make the last wish. But, before
she can do this, the genie again warns her that her ex-husband will
get ten times what she wishes for.
"No problem," said the woman as she grinned in ecstasy. "For my last
wish ... I'd like to give birth to twins."

Hmmm...We've received a lot lately!
Autumn received something to make her pucker up!
Azure is making some poor child's feet freeze.
A steamer chugged its way here and something from Jhone to Azure...what
was it? Oh, yeah! It was the first letter of Azure's last name with a
goodie inside!
What else? I know there was more. It seems like when the mail comes,
it disappears into the dark recesses of the house!
I sent something out today (finally, I know! Sorry! The kid's stuff
will be in the mail soon! I promise!) and the mail carrier wrote me a
note! She said, "Thanks for the bright mail"! So, group 5 be on the

I received a very pretty card from Marilyn Roy this week. The card is
brayered on front and back and then has a flower stamped on the front.
This is also neat because the stems are actually stamped right on the
card but the flower itself was stamped on glossy and then glued on.
There is a nice phrase inside too. Thanks Marilyn!

Yes......and, now this will sound even stranger, but I practice this
technique on dolls and stuffed animals. (I have massive collections of
both.) I name everything. Even our car has a name (Crimson). When I get a
doll or stuffed animal, it isn't like I literally hear them say "My name
is....", but I keep trying names until one seems right. Often it's not a
name I would have thought of. Sometimes it takes time. Other times, I've
just looked at it and known its name immediately.
My cat Perchance (Percie) named herself. As I held her in the shelter
(unfortunately we had to leave her to get spayed, but I got a chance to bond
first.) I kept trying out names. I'd actually tried to break our family
habit of "P" names. (Pilgrim, Pagan, Puffin....see, all these cats were
black and white. We had Pil first, then wanted Pagan's name to go with her,
and then by the time Puff came along, (also black and white) it was just
habit. [Although I did almost name Puffin "Lucy" before his gender was
determined--oops!) Anyway, I tried a whole list of names and Percie didn't
seem to approve of any. I'd seen "The Spitfire Grill" (wonderful movie) just
a few days earlier and there the main character is named Perchance and
called Percie (though I think they spell it Percy). Anyway, it popped into
my head, I said "Could you be Perchance?" and she looked at me as if "It
took you long enough to realize that!"

Subject: RS: Attn All participants! March Image Swap: Americana/July 4th
**Special Bulletin** If you want to use red/blue ink on these images for July
4th themes, that is ok if you think they look better in color. It's ok to be
patriotic! :)
If you signed up for this month but do not see your name below, please e-mail
me and I will update the list.
Still room for lots more players! Come and join us! This is my favorite
monthly swap cuz it is so easy! Plus you get to see and collect a lot of the
images that are out there........great for newbies especially!
PROCEDURES:
**Send ten (10)** cards 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 inch cards (half sheet of cardstock).
Don't fold!
Include an ADDRESS LABEL (SAML) for me to use to return the cards.
**Send $1.00 for mailing the cards back**
**(see above)** DON'T COLOR. Use WHITE - can be glossy or matte. Stamp in
black ink that won't smear if colored with markers, or you can emboss.
Tip: Vivid! or Outliners ink pads work great!
EXCEPTION: Verses or July 4th images are ok in color - if they seem to look
better
If you want to do different images on the cards instead of all the same, that
is fine. Please include stamp credits. Put your name and e-mail addy on the
back of each card. All cards must be postmarked by the last day of each
month.
Stamp things that will be EASY to cut out. Remember you will have to cut out

Choose images that are EASY TO CUT OUT and use WHITE PAPER. The only

card and the card could easily be cut in half.

On that note, I must confess I sometimes call my cat the Four-legged Furry

There was some discussion about these stamps being available at some
conventions? Does anyone know which conventions they will be at? And
where and when those conventions are? Any chance that Puyallup would be
one of them? If not, any possibility that someone would do a little
shopping for me?
Thanks,

Subject: RS: Re: gift bag maker??
If you want to make gift bags, just take a box roughly the size of the bag
you want to make, wrap your stamped (or any kind of) paper around it; glue
the side, fold the bottom like you would a present, and glue. When using
card stock, line up one side of the box 1/4" inside the edge of the cs,
mark the edge of the box; turn the box onto the next side and mark that
edge, turn the box again to the next side, mark that edge, and turn the box
onto the final side and mark that edge. Using a straight edge, score along
the marks, fold and glue like you would with paper (trimming the bottom
makes for a less bulky fold). This works great for small, sturdy gift
bags. Punch holes along the top edge and add string, rope or ribbon.
Have fun!

dauber like bottles that has a little scrubby thing on it. WAY COOL STUFF!
But I don't know where to find it cause my best stamping buddy Rannie sent
it to me for an early Bday present!!!
THANKS RANNIE!!!!

Ok, I've heard a lot about this laminator, but as far as I can tell from
all the descriptions, all it does is apply pressure with energy that
you the owner generates. Wouldn't my grandmother's wringer washer do
the same? Also how does the price of laminate sheets, cartridges, what
ever, cost and how much will they cover. Do you need to use only the
xyron laminates or will any suppliers be usable? TiaSally

Hi All,
All three swaps went in the mail today! Wow this was fun...we had 34 in
the flutterby swap, 22 in the sympathy and 14 in the Snips and Snails.
The guy at the PO about fainted when I walked in!!! My first swap that I
hosted was small [12 with 4 of them local] so this was a bigger
undertaking but it was really fun. One of my friends from stamp club
helped me swap them and get them packaged. My stamp club is enjoying all
of the swaps that I am in.
I will be posting soon with new swaps...be watching!
Thanks,
Becci
