From: sheila.Burnett@frco.com
Subject: RS:Stamp Rooms
I have a stamping room that I share with hubby. We have a guest room
as our combined "Stamping/Computer Room". We have desks facing each
other and I have two metal carts on each side of me with supplies and
stamps and then a bookcase full of things also. My drafting table has
two organizer trays mounted on each side that hold little things like
glitter, charms, embossing powders, scissors, glues, embellishments,
etc.
Works for us because we like to be together, so he is on the computer
while I stamp and then I can ask him his opinion since he's my best
critic!

While we're on the subject...the local office supply has Berol Verithins or

thinner?

10. Every week, mom leaves at least one of us at the racetrack.
9. Parents haven't even named three of us.
8. Even in new family van, someone has to ride the glove
compartment.
7. More dirty laundry than the Clintons.
6. Six fish sticks per box, so one of us always get screwed.
5. U.N. made too many concessions in deal with Saddam.
4. At dinnertimer, parents just throw raw beef into the crib and
run.
3. Smart-ass babysitter who ask, "Which one of you is Sneezy?"
2. When dad's in a hurry and puts four of us in the same diaper.

Name: How about ARC Angels? (Angel Rubber Club Angels)
Suggestion: What if we took the list and rotated through it. ie: 20
names, you send to the next five on the list after your name. The next
month you send to the following five - until we've completed the list.
That way everyone is sure to get a card from everyone else. If we all
waited for someone else to send one = then reciprocate, you know what will
freeze over before the angels get there.
Also, shouldn't they be sent by a certain time of the month. Time-lines
keep everyone more accountable.

Subject: Re: RS: Re: [SARA-L] Postage & Handling
This is an interesting question.=20
As a vendor, I always struggle with what I should charge. If it's a pack=
age
that will mail priority, then I just charge the flat rate (ie., $3 for a
package under 2 pounds, or the appropriate global priority rate, etc.).
If, on the other hand, the packaging has to be purchased also, I usually
charge a bit more. Sometimes I use padded envelopes or boxes, and these =
are
not inexpensive items . . . but I think it's important to protect the ite=
ms
properly.
I usually do try to say "shipping and handling" in my ads, to indicate th=
at
the charge is not just for postage but also for materials handling.=20
Is it reasonable to include the salaries of the packers? I'd say not . .=
. I
think that it should be included in the price of the merchandise. But
everyone runs their business in their own way. The $6.70 you were charge=
d
seems not just excessive, but ridiculous for a package valued at only $16.
Hope this helps a little bit!

I'll tell you what gets me. I recently ordered a catalogue well-discuss=
ed
on the list as a beautiful work of art in and of itself, aside from havi=
ng
nice stamps. And the cost of the catalogue was refundable. Let's say i=
t
cost about $4.00, though I don't recall exactly how much it really was. =
I
figured I'd be able to get a couple of things, and I'd at least make bac=
k
what I paid for the catalogue. Sounds good, right? Yeah, until I saw t=
hat
the minimum shipping was $3.00--even for unmounteds only. Damned if I w=
as
going to spend whatever I was going to spend, only to have $3.00 of the
$4.00 go towards postage for two or three UMs that might have run 55=A2 =
or
78=A2 at most. I never did mention this to the proprietors, and perhaps=
I
should have, but there's my 2=A2 on the matter.

=20
Like the little old lady who returned
~ your wallet yesterday.
=20
Like the taxi driver who told you that your eyes
~ light up the world, when you smile.
=20
Like the small child who showed you
~ the wonder in simple things.
=20
Like the poor man who offered to
~ share his lunch with you.
=20
Like the rich man who showed you that it=20
~ really is all possible, if only you believe.
=20
Like the stranger who just happened to come along,
~ when you had lost your way.
=20
Like the friend who touched your heart,
~ when you didn't think you had one to touch.
=20
Angels come in all sizes and shapes,
~ all ages and skin types.
=20
Some with freckles, some with dimples,=20
~ some with wrinkles, some without.
=20
They come disguised as friends, enemies,=20
~ teachers, students, lovers and fools.
=20
They don't take life too seriously,=20
~ they travel light.
=20
They leave no forwarding address,
~ they ask nothing in return.
=20
They wear sneakers with gossamer wings,=20
~ they get a deal on dry cleaning.
=20
They are hard to find when your eyes are closed, But =20
~ they are everywhere you look, when you choose to see.

May the angels keep you til morning.
May they guide you through the night.
May they comfort all your sorrows.
May they help you win the fight.
May they keep watch on your soul.
May they show you better ways.
May they guard you while you're sleeping.
May they see you through your days.
May they show you new hopes.
May they still your every doubt.
May they calm your every fear.
May they hear you when you shout.
May the angels keep you til morning .
More than this I can not pray.
And if the angels ever fail you.
Then may God be there that day~
