Subject: RS: Re: RS Angel companies
If it is not clearly stated they are not an angel
company and you need to negotiate a license to use
their copyright. With some companies it is simple
contanting them others it is a lot of work.
The easy and sure way is to only use companies
that state clearly in their catalog that you may
use their images for hand stamping.

Subject: RS:COMM Music Modules for Greeting Cards
I have these is in stock..
Music Modules For Greeting Cards .85 each
These modules are only 1 1/4" x 3 1/2" x 1/8" and have a self stick
backing which you peel off when applying to the card (or any other item
you wish to activate "sound).
They are incredibly easy to apply. You simply open up the card. Remove
protective paper on the back of the movement to expose the adhesive. You
align the notches with the fold on that card and press in place. Then
you remove the little plastic protective sleeve to activate the music.
You then refold the card, right side first, to conceal the movement.
The are wonderful for pop up cards, when you have "double sheets" of
paper, making it easy to "hide" but, you can always just put a little
bit of matching paper or card stock over the movement, and it is fine
also. It will take one or two applications, before you discover the
easiest way for you.
Be sure keep ALL glue away from the pull tab that opens and starts it.
It DISSOLVES THE TABS
Its a Small World
You Light Up My Life
Somewhere My Love

Happy Birthday
Silent Night
Christmas Medley (3 tunes)

Subject: RS: Papermaking with flower petals
A while back, someone posted about how the flower petals they dried
themselves and then included in paper would turn brown after several
months. I made paper a couple months ago and I just went to look at
them. Some petals I had air dried and some I had dried in the microwave
(to preserve the color better). The air dried petals have indeed turned
brown (yuck!), but the rose petals I microwaved were still bright and
pretty. Just some information I thought I'd pass on. Also, I know it's
a bit early, but if anyone wants some dried petals (later in the year
after the roses are blooming) email me and we can talk. I have several
rose bushes and I do live in Vancouver which is a suburb of Portland, OR
and Portland is the Rose City!

Subject: Re: RS: RS Angel companies
Alight, I wasn't going to answer this before, but I don't think every
angel company remembers to list it in their catalogs. AT least they
didn't when I got into stamping three years ago. Some don't want to
advertise it. Some may want to have your name on file as a user. Some
may ask that you put copyright reference on your cards, thats ok with me
and I still consider them angel companies as long as their acceptance is
open ended as long as they own the firm. I try to honor any reasonable
request . An angel co. called Neato Stuff(pob4066,Carson City,
NV.89702.) makes a really Neato stamp for this purpose, non-intrusive
and applicable to all companies., and I use this on all my commercial
cards as respect for vendors who have shared with me, and to put stamp
ignorant people on notice that these images have a source, and therefore
not up for grabs.

Mars,
I haven't seen a book yet that didn't have at least some (and sometimes a =
majority of) pages that are just like our "background" paper/cs. There's a =
lot of sponging looks, abstract splashes, marbleing, etc. Besides, a =
surreal card in a plaid envelope sounds kinda interesting!
These are definitely not books you should judge by the cover. And don't =
give up after looking at the first few pages either.

>>> MJS <marmstr@wvnvm.wvnet.edu> 03/04/98 09:28am >>>
reading all the posts about wallpaper books, and being somewhat familiar
with what wallpaper in general looks like, i have a question.
My stamping style is generally eclectic, weird, surreal, sometimes
elegant (though that word has NEVER been applied to me). Given my
proclivity for weird and surreal, would i find a wallpaper of use, or is
it another case of "Stampers Rules of Acquisition" in action?
Thanks.

Subject: RS: Proposed SWAP: Ria's antique postcards
!!When I said I wanted to keep the swap small, I didn't mean THIS small (1
player)!!! So come on and join us!!!
Hi all, since we've been hearing so many great reviews about "Ria's Antique
Postcards" CD Rom, sold by Phil Schloss. We thought a SWAP using these
images would be nice.
So get creative and make cards using these images and adding stamps and/or
embellishments. It would be a 5/5 swap, and one extra card for the hostess
would be greatly appreciated, since these will get scanned and put on
Phil's internet site!!!
So if you want to get famous, here's your chance!!
Due date is: March 28 , 1998
This leaves you plenty of time to order a CD Rom if you don't have it yet
and still want to play!!
I want to keep this swap small, as it is my first time hosting!! So, I
would like to have no more than 10 players!! (I might be persuaded to add a
few more ;-)
Also, I want you to note that I live in the Netherlands. This means extra
postage. Please include US$ 3.00 in cash (no postage stamps please) and a
Self Adressed Mailing Label.
Well, I think this is all the info you need to have at this time, so come
and play, greetings, Ria and Phil
