I guess the only way is to write the company - all of us don't have
catalogs from ALL stamp companies!
If the list on the web is kept current that's another source.

I got a birthday card, a valentine card, a magnet, and a friendship book
from Leilana yesterday in the mail. The birthday card is so cute. With
a paper doily she made a table cloth, put a fork and spoon on each side
and piled the table high with rubber stamps. Great card.
Leilana thanks so much for thinking of me and I will send on the
friendship book to someone else along with a card.

Nancy, When My Mom was being made a grandma for the first time we all assumed
that she would be Grama, as that is what we kids called our grandparents, and
my Dad would be Grampa. But my first niece, who is now 8, when she first
started speaking called them Nana and Papa because she had trouble saying Grama
and Grampa. For some reason, this kid, all on her own, called her other set of
grandparents Grandma and Grandpa. She was never coached or anything. So, now
with five grandchildren, my parents are known as Nana and Papa and our husbands
parents are known as Grandam and Grandpa. At least this way, everyone has a
clue who we are talking about. And my parents were so thrilled that they were
being called something new, something special (not to mention that little ones
can say these long before the other names -- my 11 month old can say "Nana"
already and it makes my Mom cry when she hears him on the phone since we live
close to 8 hours away by car! Whatever they call you, your heart will probably
melt when you hear it!

Subject: RS: TAN: Update on Shel's grandaddy
A lot of you have written to ask me how his surgery went. He went in Tuesday
morning, waited 3 1/2 hours (and while you're waiting, you can't eat, so
you're starving!), then it only took about an hour for the procedure. Things
went fine, no complications. I talked to him Tuesday night and he seemed in
good spirits. But, now we wait to see what they find out about the "growth".
(Sorry to be graphic, but that is what it is!) So, keep him in your thoughts,
prayers, affirmations, or whatever you do! And thank you so much to all of you
who sent him a card! It is verrry appreciated by me and, I'm sure, by him. You
are all so wonderful, I am glad I found this list and this hobby! =)

I was in the first directory swap. I enjoyed it very
much. And we were supposed to send in about 150. I
probably got 110+. The problem there is not the
hostess... it is those who make the committment and
then don't follow through for some reason or another.
That is not the fault of the hostess.

We're going to Orlando to visit MIL and SIL this summer. Hubby is very
agreeable to planning the trip to coincide with the stamp con! (ain't he
sumpin?)
I called the info number they listed the show that was in the recent RSM
and the woman could not have been less interested in giving me info.
She did tell me it was an entrance fee of $5 for both days but didn't
think I could pay and register by mail in advance (I'm in IL) but it
sounds like you can. I'm sending off my SASE today to get the real
scoop.
This should be fun, and I won't miss not going into that unfriendly
Longwood stamp store!

Subject: RS: same stamp swap-Ethnic
Thanks to Dawn for hosting this. I am so glad I joined and I hope Dawn
offers this again real soon. It was so much fun! Thanks to all the
players for their great cards. Even my DH enjoyed these since they were
not all "girly foo-foo" cards.
J. Morrison: used a mustard colored cs and layered it with handmade paper
that had bark in it. She added touches of Egyptian Gold ep to this (my
favorite ep). She stamped the kokopeli on tan cs and layered this on top
of the handmade paper. She also highlighted the kokopeli with the same ep.
She used metallic rub-ons to edge each piece of the cs. Beautiful card!
Andrea Lum: used tan cs she decoratively edged, and stamped the kikopeli
three times. The outer ones were embossed in clear and the middle one was
embossed in gold. This made a shadow or ghost like effect. She used
rub-ons for the background of the card. The cs was then mounted on a dark
green cs and mounted onto a tan card. The background was highlighted with
gold ep. Wonderful card!
LindaLoo: used black cs which she layered a decoratively trimmed sheet of
music on top of. On top of the music she mounted a piece of Almost Leather
which had the kokopeli stamped on it and the corners trimmed with
decorative scissors. Cool card!
Jennifer Hanes: used red pepper colored cs. She stamped the kokopeli
three times across the bottom of the card and embossed them with silver ep.
Across the top of the card she mounted a strip of medium brown cs. The
bottom edge of the cs was deckle edged. Great card!
Lynda: used a golden cs. The kokopeli was stamped in brown in the bottom
left corner of the card. She zigzaged sandpaper (cleaver idea) diagonally
across the card and stamped the sandpaper with petroglyph images. A red
spiral sun is stamped in the upper right corner of the card and two
feathers are attached to the bottom right of the card. Wonderful card!
Dawn: our wonderful hostess used brown duplex cs. She stamped the
kokopeli three times across the card in dark blue ink. She made a leather
thong necklace with Almost Leather and the image of the kokopeli stamped on
it. She used this neat thong necklace to close the card. What a treat to
receive this! Inside the card Dawn shared the story of the kokopeli with
us. I like my stamp even more since I know the story of the kokopeli.

My SSS struck again! She is soooo sweet. She must have seen my post re
needing little baggies cause I got a package with lots of little zippy
bags andsome spring stickers and several homemade cards, all of which are
gorgeous!
I love the flower card that was watercolored and how you cut it out. I
have yet to make one of these cut out cards but really need to make time
to try as they are so pretty! Also got two more of these really neat
sliding cards so I can get ideas and try to make this. She had sent me
one before and I was really intrigued by it. These are so neat!
Thanks sss!!!!! Well, I'm late for work so gotta run!

I lost the addy for the website that had lots of little bee people on it.
They were cute and I don't remember the name of the company. I would love
to have the information again if anyone recognizes it by my pitiful
description.
Thanks,

Subject: RS: Directory
I generally don't participate in this kind of discussions because I am a
big fat coward. But, I have read all these posts and I do not feel
Jessica is being flamed. I think we are entitled to ask questions when
we did not get what we were told we were going to get. I participated
in this swap. I signed up in Aug. and in Nov. I sent my pages in to the
go-between with 5.00 for postage. I got the impression that the
go-between was going to use part of that money to send to Jessica and
the balance would be used to send to us. We were told to send 99 pages
and this figure had increased almost on a daily basis. There was never
any follow-up or information as to who sent or who still needed to send.
I assumed mine had been received. I and one other person on the list
did not receive the directory. It has evidentally been lost somewhere.
This was a lot of work and expense and I certainly feel we are entitled
to have our questions answered. I struggled over this and I am also on
low income, but I wanted to do it.
Just my .02 worth Ruth

Subject: RS: Teddy Bear Swap Rec'd
These cards are great!
Mary, thanks for hosting this swap, it was so much fun! Oh and thanks
for the cute bear pem too!
Patti Murphy - White cardtock with a teddy holding a sunflower and
baloons. The baloons are glued on in 3d with colorful ribbons as the
strings. Patti also used a real tiny button to embellish the bears
headband. Very very pretty!
Martina Gilley - A really neat card made with vellum, teddies stamped in
the middle and paws stamped in the corners under the vellum. There is a
ribbon tied through to hold the layers together. I just got some vellum
recently so its great to see how its actually used!
Unknown :-( - Someone made a really clever card layered with lacy looking
paper and then a teddy. They glued on a beaded necklace and a charn and
also a stamped image of some flowers i n the corner with glittery glue
dots. Great ideas!
Sharie Rose Soriano - My first shrink plastic card!!! This is neat!
Everone seems to be using this stuff lately! A red card cut shorter in
the front to expose the red and white stripes at the bottom. A white
heart doily was glued in the center and in the middle of that is a
shrinky bear. This is a neat idea and one I will certainly be trying!
Germaine - Pretty blue cardstock with a teddy glued on the front and
buttons glued around him. The inside is triimed out with butterflies.
Cute!
Thanks to everyone for playing!
