Subject: Re: RS: anno's SSS/Bubble Wrap
We used to have a free-for-all around here. We'd buy bubble wrap
in huge rolls. Every now and then some would levitate off the
counter, float over the floor and mysteriously drop.
Now, if you saw inanimate objects doing this, what would you do?
Same thing any normal, sane person would do! You'd all stomp the
stuff crazy!
Unfortunately, we changed our supplier and now have envelopes
with a bubble type of lining. It just isn't the same.

You can use a rule and an embossing pen. Just line the ruler up with the
margins/edge, color in with the embossing pen, then remove the ruler and
sprinkle the EP on the edges..... This ought to work :)

Subject: RS: Moose
Thanks for sharing the "moose medicine," Kate.
I see you are continuing to bring light into the darkness.
I think Moose are rather rare in Washinton State or at least, able
to escape being seen by anyone most of the time; but of course,
all watchers of Northern Exposure know the town with the moose
walking through it during the credits is in Northern Central Washington.
I've only seen Moose on three occasions in my 20 years of living
there. The best view I had was on a trip with my 20 year old son
and a friend "from the city" who were visiting me on military leave.
We watched the moose for awhile and followed it (at a distance) even
when it began to move out of sight. They really are homely animals,
you know, but so BIG! And my son was able to get a dozen pictures of
this one. Unfortunately, he had forgotten to put film in the camera.

You do need a light source enable to see the template (or pattern) from
underneath your paper. I have the light table, which I got from Sue Beck. I
have heard that some people tape the stencil to a bright window and use that
as the light source, but that wouldn't work for me as I do most of my crafting
at night!.
The way that it works is you would put a stencil on top of the light box, your
paper on top of the stencil. Rub the paper with a little wax paper if you
have it and then trace the pattern that you see with your stylus. When you
are done, flip the paper over and the paper will appear "raised" which is
called embossing.
Have fun, and let me know if you have any questions!

Subject: RS: My SSS package is here!
I've said it before, and I'll say it again...My SS is the BEST!!!! I
received my package today, and boy was it chock full of goodies!
Everything was wrapped in bright tissue. The boys were so excited. "Mom,
your secret pal package! Open it! Open it!" And together we unwrapped
every goodie. Sam and Laura each received birthday presents, and are
eating the M&M's right now. Sam went outside and blew dragon bubbles
immediately, and Laura is thrilled to have her own coloring book and
crayons. Scott also received some M&M's, and is playing with his trucks.
Sam says "Thank you" for the race car.
And I got a bunch of stuff for me too! A fantastic medieval dragon stamp
from ANM, and a stamp with a running mare and foal. I don't have either of
these yet! There was also a bag full of really great unmounteds. I love
them all! Definitely images I will use. I got 2 books, one of the Redwall
Abbey books I don't have (The Pearls of Lutra), and Life's Little
Instruction Book Vol 2 (I'm really needing that one right now! Please
someone, tell me what to do!!!) There is a set of 4 small rectangular
paper mache boxes that are perfect for stamping, and a heart-shaped
chipwood box. And inside of that, a paper mache round box that contains a
baggie full of really neat Southwest style charms. I love the little
goodies tucked into their hiding places!
And there is more! A package of hologram horse stickers, 3 boxes of
Cracker Jacks, 2 packages of flavored coffees (Yeah!), 4 packages of
gourmet cocoa in the most wonderful sounding flavors (Golden Pecan,
Raspberry Mocha, and Cinnamon Hazelnut Praline). More Yeah!! AND (yes
there is more) 3 tapes of my favorite shows that we no longer receive on
the very few stations we receive out here. Thank you, Thank you, Thank
you!!!!!!! And I almost forgot the candy confetti all over the box!
(Tastations and Hershey's kisses). I am in goody heaven! How many
different ways can you spell WOW!
You are the greatest!

Subject: RS: RS;TAN: ANOTHER LANGUAGE GAP :-)
Hi, there :-)
Nope, I'm NOT working on translation again :o)
This time I'm trying to help a friend :-) He's translating
the subtitles in a movie and came across the following:
Two thieves are talking about a pick-a-pocket:=20
A - Where is he?
B - Where all the pickpockets hang out -- an apartment across the street
from the 'Y'.
What on earth does this "Y" mean??? It seems to me some sort of road =
junction but I'm not sure at all :o) I've heard T junction and once I =
heard someone in England describing a junction as resembling 'Y' but =
that's all I know. Any clues? Thanks in advance :-)
Love and sunshine always,
Stampcas :) xo

Moose certainly are not rare in Idaho! In Post Falls, Idaho (which is very
near the Washington state border) They have a moose that returns every year.
We have a moose that comes through our yard each fall, too. Elk, too, are
also very prevalent and in the spring you have to drive very carefully to
avoid the herds running across the road.
Joyfully,
Vivian

I believe it is called "full spectrum" light or the most like sunlight that you
can get. The allergist recommended that I get one. I had also heard a
discusssion of the marvelous light they give for sorting colors and just seeing
in general. Hope this makes sense. Suzanne

Subject: RS: Fireman Stamp???
I seem to remember someone who had called me with an order a few weeks
ago asking about a firemen stamp, which at the time I didn't know of any
with the companies I carry, BUT there is a new BOYD Bear stamp of a
Firebear called Elliot...The Hero, a bear dressed in fireman clothes
with a firehose over his shoulder holding a baby bear he had obviously
just saved wrapped in a blanket. This is truly adorable. If you are the
one looking for such a stamp let me know I will be putting in another
order soon.=)

Then of course...... If you're from the South (as I am).... and you moved
3500 miles away from home (as I did)..... and you're craving, among other
things, that Southern Delicacy called Fried Okra..... and you realize that
most people here have NEVER heard of such a treat....... You might would
RATHER have OKRA :)
Or Country ham. Or grits. Or chow-chow. Or collards. Or real
biscuits...... the list just goes on and on and on........

Subject: RS: TAN: Moose
This past week I have seen moose every time I have driven into town.
I actually saw one running toward the road I was driving on, so stopped
the car, watched it heave itself over a fence and cross the road in
front
of me, heading across the next field to a shelter of trees. The other
times it has been two togther...they have patterns and seem to repeat
every second day, if not disturbed. BTW, I only drove to town three
times in the last week.

Well a pick pocket is a theif.
The "Y" is either YWCA ( Young Woman's Christian Assocation) or YMCA ( Young
Men Christin Assocation).
They have health clubs, workshops, hostels, meetings, etc.
Our local Y ( we have both) has a health club and meetings areas, classes in
all types of subjects, daycare for children, also a section of rooms for women
and another for men.
They are like Hostels in some city.
