I am too...especially when I receive packages from the U.S. with
$31.17 charges from Customs Brokerage fees!!!! They should start
defending their border, because a crazed overcharged Canadian Stamper
is about to attack! <G>

PS I sent the package back to the company and phoned them to ask them
to send it US Postal Service instead of UPS....I would rather not
receive the merchandise than pay another 31 dollars for it!

Okay, I hope I can do it justice.  You made a "regular" card and then mount
this square assembly inside the card that is rubber band powered and propels
upward when the card is opened. You place some confetti in a pouch that is
mounted on the top of the square assembly and, hence, the flinger name.

Let me know if you care to join.  I will be sending out pattern and
directions on Saturday but will need your snail to get it to you.

How exciting!!  Sydney has arrived healthy and strong and gorgeous!!  I
am so happy for you!!  Ramona says to tell you that it "just isn't
fair..."
Our baby wants out, just can't find the right door!!!  She too has been
suffering with a lot of swelling....So she was to be in the hospital by
this evening....and of course, there is an influx of babies being born at
that hospital, so she has to wait now until 10 p.m. to see if she can
even get in to be induced....otherwise, 6 a.m. Friday morning will be
when she can check in next!  She was soooooo disappointed!!
I guess I should say, that she has miscarried 3 times, so this is a BIG
moment for her!  She has waited sooooo long to have a baby!!!
But again, CONGRATULATIONS!!!!        love,  Louwanna

I got a really neat card from my SS today!! She took green cs  and layered a
piece of shiny green paper and on that she put a peice of white cs stamped
with a cockateil...I LOVE birds!! I have 4 cockateils so this is pretty
cool....ok..back to the card...she also put real feathers on it and stamped
"thinking of you"  below that is a purple and green ribbon tied in a bow...I
wish you could see this ...it is too cool!! Thanks SS...oh is this the clue I
have been begging for? So you live in Phoenix? Hey do you go to baseball
games? My Mariners are in Peoria right now for spring training...go check 'em
out!! I wish I was there...I LOVE baseball!! Lets see...baseball birds and

I'm sure some of you  are familiar with the clipart drawn by our very own
PAL -
(Print Artist Lover - another list many of us belong to) Sherry Todryk, of
Sparrow Wing Specialties. WELL - a lot of that clipart (incl. those
gorgeous angels!!!) and a **lot** of new stuff, is now available in Rubber
Stamp format........ and I'm proud to say I am her

I find that often a simple stamped image looks GREAT, on a card printed in
PA, PSE, or Corel, etc. I'm fairly new at stamping myself, but I especially
love using the stamps and gold embossing powder to make "gold angels", etc.

 Chris there is no need to get into namecalling. I agreed there was no

this fall I did invitations, envelopes and r.s.v.p cards for a wedding. They
wanted them elegant but not "fancy" I made the paper...using some grey
stationery and silber holigram gift paper,along with some white shiny gift
paper...it ended up being slightly off white with very tiny silver flecks in
it. The invitation was printed on a lazer printer in a beautiful script.
the only embellishment on the entire invitation was that we used silver
sealing wax on each envelope and stamped the Hero Arts stamp that was a
small script LOVE. The natural deckel edge was just great and she and I got
a great many telephone calls about the unusual and elegant invitations. I
had thought to emboss in silver a single rose bud on the invitation...but it
just wans't needed.

They have only committed to selling at the San Jose, CA show..in May.  There
is no other way to buy them at this time.  Donna Fong, Curtis' girlfriend,
apparently asked that folks do not contact his parents regarding the stamps.

Hi,
I use Decorator's Ink by PSX.  It's permanent and dries almost immediately
with no heat setting.  Even alcohol markers don't smear it.  Problem is it
really stains your stamps.  I used to ahve the cleanest stamps in the
world.  I finally got over THAT and it doesn't matter anymore.

Also, if you are shrinking the plastic in the oven (I found this is the
best way, more even heating), I usually put the plastic on the backside of
a bathroom tile (not the shiny side) and place the tile on a cookie sheet.
Then I take a cookie cooling rack (mine is up high enough that it doesn't
touch the plastic, but you could put more tiles or pieces of tiles under
the legs so the rack doesn't touch the plastic) and place it over the piece
making sure the rack doesn't touch the plastic.  This way when the plastic
starts to curl up (and it will!), it won't roll over and stick to itself.

Other people swear by the heat set crafters ink, but I think this permanent
messy stuff is a lot easier.
