  322. To do this technique you need clear embossing ink and powder and a brayer.
  323. First color your background with colors of your choice. Multi color looks
  324. nice for this. 
  325. After completely coloring the card emboss with clear powder. If you like
  326. the colors you have then brayer coat of clear embossing ink and sprinkle
  327. with powder. Repeat this procedure one more time. You can add more color
  328. between layers if you prefer. Start with light colors.
  329.  
  330. If you want to stamp an image onto the card you should have an inked stamp
  331. ready and waiting. When your last layer of embossing is warm, you can see
  332. it melting and it will puddle, stamp your image. You should have an image
  333. that looks 3D. The best stamps to use in this technique are ones that have
  334. only a small amount of detail.

  707. I have a Gateway 2000 and I love it!!!!  My DH is a Mac user, so he's not
  708. quite as enthusiastic, but he says if you're going to buy a PC, get a gateway.
  709. It has been especially good for me because I have gotten so much help from
  710. their tech support when I didn't understand something.  I am computer
  711. illiterated, but I put my whole  computer system together myself with the help
  712. of the book that came with my computer.  The place I used to work at had
  713. Win3.0, so it has taken me a while to get used to Win95, but I think that's
  714. true for everyone!!!  My DH just ordered some updates for the computer as I am
  715. running out of memory.  He ordered them late last week and they came already
  716. today!!!!  I love those cow boxes they use!  
  717.  
  718. Anyway....In answer to your question....I've never had any problems with this
  719. computer that I haven't had with any other, and their tech support has been
  720. great about helping...once even when the problem wasn't the computer, but some
  721. other companies software!!!

  968. I've received some wonderful ideas for coloring an image on glossy when dye
  969. ink had been used to stamp - most suggested a Dove blender with markers or
  970. "painting" with dye inks.  I think I'll try both those ideas and see which
  971. one "flies" with the scene.  Whoever suggested pastel LePlumes - that's
  972. what I have and normally I love 'em - but I don't want to fill up large
  973. spaces with them and they don't have the "soft" look I'm trying to achieve.
  974.  
  975. Got some mixed feelings about chalks as to whether they would work or not,
  976. so I'll save those for another "experimentation" day.

  1068. is no more sick than collecting stamps, of which I am gulity of both.  It is
  1069. much too late to feel guilty about the way Princess Diana's image and name
  1070. was expolited during her life and sad as it may seem she is just as sought
  1071. over, maybe even more so, now in death.
  1072.     The Princess Bear retails for $5-6, just as all other Beanie Babies.
  1073. Where the price goes up is in the hands of the collector's and those seeking
  1074. them on the secondary market.  As promised, Ty donates a percentage of the
  1075. profits that it (Ty) makes on initial orders (from it's retailers) it takes
  1076. for the Princess Bear to Princess Di's charities, so Diana's funds are never
  1077. being ripped off.  All of the retailer's I have dealt with have sold the
  1078. Princess Bear to me for the retail price of $5-6 not a penny more!  They
  1079. can't if they are one of Ty's many retailers, it is against their contract .
  1080. If they (retailers) are call Ty and turn them in!
  1081.     Enter the Cabbage Patch/Tickle Me Elmo syndrome!  If a stranger off the
  1082. street walked up and offered you $400 for a toy you paid $6 for I believe I

  1084. away with their toy still under their arm.  Supply and demand.  I want it,

  1087.     I have yet to collect my Beanies for profit but would be a hypocrite to
  1088. frown on those who do.  And keep in mind also that the Princess Bear is not
  1089. the only Beanie who is worth a small fortune on the secondary market.  There
  1090. are those that are worth nearly $2000.  So who's to blame?  The collector,
  1091. not likely, they love their little toys...the buyer, who cares how another
  1092. spends their hard earned cash?
  1093.     If it is sick because it is a small fortune for a toy, don't buy it.  If
  1094. it is sick because it is the Princess Di Bear, get over it.  Elvis hasn't
  1095. been able to complain from the grave either and I hear much of his
  1096. memorabilia is worth a mint.  Granted, Elvis is a far cry from the nearly
  1097. sanctified Diana, but is lengendary in death all the same.
  1098.     Please don't misunderstand me, I don't mean to put down all the
  1099. heartfelt sentiment for the late Princess of Wales.  I, too, cried when I
  1100. heard the news and sat up all night watching the funneral.  I just think it
  1101. is too late to take back all the damage that was inflicted upon her in life.
  1102.     From a different perspective, if someone were to offer me/you $200+ for
  1103. my/your favorite stamp what would you do?  And just to spice the pot, what
  1104. if it was a stamp with the image of Princess Di?  Why is that any different?
