Subject: RS: Slice of Cake Pattern
Does anyone have or know where I can get a pattern for the "slice of
cake." It is really neat. Slices of cake can be made from folding
cardstock and a gift can hold inside. Eleven slices make an entire
cake. Really cute with different stamping techniques to stamp the paper.
Thanks for your help.

Dear SSS,
I am so sorry I forgot to mention the package of Scrapbook pages from
Current. I put them on top of the computer so I wouldn't forget to
mention them, and I forgot to look up. Thanks so much for the package.
I am floating on clouds from all the love coming from the package.
I have been meaning to tell you that I took the heart stamp to school
along with my 300-400 other Valentine Stamps so that the kids could use
them to make cards. You stamp was the most popular, and was used by
every child at least once! They loved it as much as I do, and the fact
that all of the kids used it was amazing, because not all my stamps were
used. Thanks for everything. I look forward to getting to know you!

I was so disappointed when I got my mail today. No packages, no pretty
cards. Just a catalogue (oh no, Fingerhut found me!). Then I tried to
remember the last time I sent a RAK. Hum. I deserve the empty mailbox,
and will try to do better. I just bought some nifty paper today that is
the perfect size for RAKs.

My mother, Fern Clay, was sooooo impressed with all the lovely cards she

Will try to find them in everything I brought home as she wanted me to

If you thought I was rude, you should shake your dusty head!! Rude is
your interpretation - and you must have seen what you were looking for. I
obligated myself not to respond to the original poster, out of
consideration and respect for her having the right to post whatever she
wanted - but your right to post the nastiness that you have about me ... is
in direct proportion to my right to say you're really looking for a
catfight. And, no thank you, dear ... if I wanted to expend the typing
energy, it would have to be with a more challenging opponent (this is only
just getting started, and I'm bored already). So, fire away, give it your
best shot ... but you'll be shadow bitching.
Oh, and if you'd like to get me kicked off the list ... well, I'm not
really sure of the procedural requirements ... but when you figure them
out, you can report back to me and the AJFC. While you look into that,
I'll check the labels on my medication, ok?
As to the things I have to do in my life ... besides finishing my book,
ball room dancing, aerobic exercises at the gym every morning, staying on
top of my investment portfolio, being the CEO of one of the country's
largest chocolate manufacturers, being a snowmobile stunt driver, modelling
a line of clothing for the generously proportioned woman, finishing my
doctrate degree, being a veteran wine taster, providing consulting services
for a firm of geological engineers, writing long and loving letters to my
14 children, overseeing a dating service that has 3,873 clients worldwide,
writing an advice column for troubled seniors, running a
catering business that employs 27 people, teaching my cat to speak in 3
foreign languages, conducting research into what creates dusty headedness
....... and then there are the many speaking engagements to which I am
invited, as President of the Ant Judy Fan Club,
... you know, now that I think of it, you're likely right ... maybe I *am*
bored!! Maybe I'll go make a card for you ... but I'll need your snail
addy.
I hope you feel better by now.
Ant Judy H.
>>
First of all...I never said you were rude...second of all I said nothing
nasty in direct to you..And if you think that I typed that post to get a
catfight out of you...you are sadly mistaken (As just like you, I typed MY
opinion, but obviously you can't handle other peoples opinion but your own)
*Tis sad*
...as for the dust that you assume is in my head (That is a rude statement
in my opinion. Were you hoping to hurt my feelings with that statement? I'm
Right aren't I?)...you couldn't be farther from the truth. I see that
attacking is what you do best, and I'm not the only one that sees this..not
something to brag about at all in my book...but if you feel that it helps you
in your walk toward God...so be it...I do not judge you in this respect. Being
hateful is your perogitive
As for the me wanting to get you kicked off the list...I never mentioned
anything about that either and it never came to my mind to even do such a
thing. Well...Now I have defended myself , I would like to say that I don't
appreciate that you said I have a dusty head. That was out of line and a
desperate way to make a hurtfull statement...and I too am bored of this, as in
opponents that you say (AS if this were a contest of who can say the last
word) I've had better myself...

Subject: RS: Kind of COMM (?)/Looking for Info
I have compiled a very large list of sayings and catagorized them for myself
and a couple of friends. These have come from all over including on this
list. I started thinking that there may be others who would like something
similar. I have put a lot of time into this and still have more to add to the
different categories. I currently have about 30 pages of sayings (in regular
size type), this includes a single line between each saying. Most would fit
in a card - some are in the form of a poem that could be used or pieces of it
could be used. I would be willing to finish this up in the next couple of
days and make copies and put in some type of binder for a fairly nominal fee
(to cover cost of supplies, postage and a little for my time to copy and get
sent out) if there were people interested.
SO, is this something that interests anyone? AND, are there things I should be
aware of before doing something like this? If anyone has any knowledge or
experience with doing something similar, I would really appreciate anything
you can tell me.
I hope I am not stepping on anyone's toes. I am still fairly new to this list
(a few months now) and if anyone else has done this, I am not aware of it so
please just let me know if someone has already done this. Thank you so much
for any input!

Subject: RS: Thanks for Valentines
I want to publicly thank two very lovely ladies - Bonnie Lass and Kaye Lynn
Ingold. Bonnie sent me a valentine and also included a picture of herself
and Kira. The card has a doily layered on lavendar cardstock. On the doily
is a crimped peach color on which she has stamped hearts. She topped it
with a bow in the corner. She is such a nice lady and very good friend to
me from the list.
Kaye Lynn had sent a note to the list that she had some extra valentines and
would send them to the first persons who responded. Well, I wasn't one of
the first, but she sent my daughter a valentine anyway. Cathy was so
pleased to be getting some mail and then to have it be such a pretty card.
Kaye Lynn stamped and colored in a very fancy heart with flowers and ribbons
on the card. This was so nice of Kaye Lynn.
Thank you, Ladies. You are both "angels" to me and my family.

If you ask a telemarketer if they are a telemarketer service then they

Subject: Re: RS: telemarketers- reply etc
My advice because of all that's been talked about with mail fraud, phone
fraud, worries about giving your address out, phone solicitations, would
be don't do it. I'm polite, say I'm not interested, and if they won't
end it, I do--I say goodbye politely and hang up. If not a charity, you
can tell them not to call you again, and if they do (as if I'd remember)
you can sue--one lady has won thousands of $.
Benevolent Police Benefits are often benevolent to the collectors, not
actual police. Our paper did an expose and it was amazing how
LITTLE--anywhere from 3-5% up to 85-90%(out of about 40 charities listed,
the majority were well under 50%) went to the actual charity, even some
of the very best charities sometimes let companies collect for them. I am
very tight with my money on something like this--I give to my church and
one or two charities that I've heard good things about, and that's it. I
won't even donate clothes or used goods except to my church, or to the
actual place--found out a lot of that goes to second hand stores that
are profit-making businesses. Don't I sound cynical?
There are too many people trying to bilk others out of hard-earned
$--guess it's not just buyer beware, but giver beware. A lot of teens
who come around selling candy door to door have been found to be in same
situation. There are organized "cells" of people who exploit these
kids--pay them or "take care" of them very poorly, deliver them to an
area often in horrendous weather, and then expect them to collect so much
or they're in trouble.
Of course, I'm not talking about scouts, schools, etc. with neighborhood
kiddies--I'm willing to pay $5 for 16 little mints to Blue Birds--aren't
they cute? Have a family of Girl Scouts who know I'm good for several
boxes every year. I did the door-to-door thing as a child and with my
child.
I also watch the paper for local groups doing collections of
things--right now The Pierce Co. Jr. Soccer Assn. is collecting used
backpacks for foster kids who often have to put their things in plastic
bags to go to a new place. Isn't that a wonderful way to help? Anyone
want to send me some--I'll get them to the right place. If you're local,
I can give you the lady's phone. I can get her addy if you want, and
send it privately. I just think this is fantastic, and if you're local
you can get $3 off (for each bag) tickets for youth soccer games first
two weeks of March--in Puyallup.
Best advice given by paper--CHECK IT OUT!
