Sarah West - Stampendous Bear stamp on white confetti cs.
Judy "Dragonhome" Perry - Addicted to Rubber Magnet (so true), & an =
Angel stamp.
Leilani Schooling - Fred & Ginger stamped on white glossy cs.
Laura Atkinson (my adopted sister) - Beautiful butterfly with AIG all =
over it. I keep looking at it, it looks like a satin stitch. Another =
card with a flower and the much talked about pearl/ex.
Special RAK from one of my adopted moms, Sandra Poole. Sandra sent me a =

From: "Maureen Butcher" <rinski@ap.net>
Subject: Re: RS: Stamping on tiles and porcelain.
Hi Lynette and all,
I took the class at Stampa Rosa and they carried the ink there. It was in
an inconspicuous place and if I hadn't taken the class, I wouldn't have
ever known about how to use it.
The images we used were outlined images and we colored them in. You
probably could use bold images but with porous surfaces like clay pots or
tiles, you have to go over it again to make the color stand out of a bold
image.
I forgot to mention in my first post that we used those felt circles with
adhesive on one side underneath the tile so that it would not scratch the
table. I personally would not use marbles on the kind of tiles we used
cause I don't think even superglue would hold. The tiles we used are the
size of stepping stones (maybe 12x12) and veeeerrrry heavy.
The woman who taught the class said that you could use this technique for
tiles on the wall as well. It isn't necessary to heat set the item unless
you are going to eat off of it or if the item would get alot of wear. Also
if you got tired of the design, you could take the design off.
I like this technique on clay flower pots with the metallic ink. It's
waycool!!!!
Always stamping,
Maureen

Subject: RS: about me and want a nickname
Hi Guys! The more nicknames I see for people, the more I want one.
Anyone have any creative ideas for me to use?
Let me tell you about me.
I am a 27 year old mother of two boys (Alex will be 3 on April 13 and
Matthew will be 1 on March 17th). In June, DH and I will celebrate
anniversary number 7. I was born and raised in Regina Saskatchewan
Canada and moved to Toronto Ontario in 1990. I moved to Calgary
Alberta in the winter of 1995. In addition to rubberstamping (which I
am still trying to get more creative at) I like to sew a little (very
little), cross-stitch, read, watch TV and read email. I'm a fussy
eater who hopes terribly that my boys won't be.
Not an exciting description, but I hate telling people about me!
any suggestions???
thanks....nancy

Our humor differs.
The framed boxes *are* quite useful for items which one wishes to keep

Hi, there!
Just wanted to share the latest news here :-)
As you might recall, I work both as a teacher of English and
a freelance translator! I love teaching but my dream job would
be something more permanent as a translator. In November last
year I attended a short course for translators held in Sao Paulo
and there I got to know a professor who told me about this Brazilian
mailing list for translators on the Internet! I subscribed to it then
but remained as a lurker for 2 months! Anyway, to cut a long
story short, last week I got my very first OVERSEAS translation
job thanks to that list!!!!! Someone posted a job offer from a German
company, I sent them my resum=E9 and voil=E1! Next thing I knew the
man was calling me here!!! The deadline was a nightmare but I
have met it!! YAY! I had until tomorrow morning to send them the job
done but I'm proud to say I pushed the send button a couple of
hours ago!!! Needless to say I'm all worn-out :{ but I am very happy!
I do hope they will pay me :o) but I think there won't be any problems!
After all a contract was signed (by fax) and there have been some
others on the translators' list doing the same job! I do hope more
jobs like that will come my way!! It's much more profitable than =
teaching!
Besides, my name's NOT Cinderella :-( LOL! Just kidding!=20
Anyway, just wanted to share with you my latest news! I owe a lot of =

Subject: RS: TAN: Stamping Conventions
It sounds like most of the listee's convention plans are revolving around
Marlborough and the one in Washington State.
I haven't been to my first one yet, but wondered why no one is talking
about the one scheduled for Las Vegas in April. Folks
have been talking about Marlborough since December and it's not happening
til June.
Since I haven't been to any can you old timers (I mean that in the stamping
sense only, of course !!!) give us newbies the scoop on which conventions
have been your favorites and which ones you might avoid in the future and
why .. as well as those you wouldn't miss .. and why.
I'm VERY curious. Can't wait to go to my first one - I know that
geographically -Las Vegas is far away - but like where I live (Orlando
area) the flights are dirt cheap because its such a tourist attraction.

Subject: proposed bead swap
is time I threw another swap. I just couldn't decide what. I decided
beads. Not beedz though.. regular beads. You can do cards or bookmarks or
books or whatever, and you can include beads, or stamp beads, or whatever,
but no beedz, cuz someone is already doing that, and they don't fit with
the vision i have anyway. don't make beads (unless that's what it takes
to),
make something with beads.
need 5 to make it official, will be 5 for 5, postmarked.. 3/31 or if that's
a sunday, the monday after. equal postage (loose) and an addy label
please.

I'm sure I didn't get it right, but I can't find any of the posts that told

ok.. we were spozed to say, aside from gold and something, yes? gold and
black? then clear is my favorite. Actually, clear is my favorite, before
gold and black. if was aside from gold and clear, then black is my next
choice. Actually, black is my second choice anyway, after clear, before
gold. I'm ep-boring. I think I could have other favorites if I could find
'em.. I'm sure, if I could find cinnabar red, that it would be one of my
favorites. There's a clear glittery one that I like ok for stamping things
in clear ink on black or navy paper, so it looks kind of like seeing
something against the skyline in the night.. I can't recall what it's called
though. one that adds sparkle, as opposed to the ones that make kind of an
irridescent rainbow. I like those too, in theory, cuz I just don't
understand how they DO that, is way cool.. but I've not managed to use that
coolness to my advantage yet. I like to use that glittery clear stuff with
my amusement park or funhouse stamps for a background to a collage kind of
thing, or for trees and such in the dark. but then again I like just using
clear EP and clear ink to accomplish the same thing.. 'cept the bit of
sparkle is nice with the amusement park.. and probably would be if I had a
cityscape stamp too. and sometime I'm gonna get some glow-in-the-dark,
because I think I might find I like it ok too.. specially if I can find a
good firefly stamp! but mostly, I have a drawer full of 30some different
EP's that I don't use. The kids use some of 'em now and then though. and I
use white and terra cotta once in a while.. I'd use cobalt blue a lot if I
could find it but mostly I use clear, or black. hehe.
