rubberstampers-digest Tuesday, February 10 1998 Volume 02 : Number 1102
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Date: Tue, 10 Feb 1998 02:09:14 EST
From: feathersmc@juno.com (G M)
Subject: RS: What's your favorite EP? (TOTW Revival attempt)
Like the subject line says, what is your favorite ep?
Your favorite Gold ep?
- -----------------------------
I don't emboss often, though I have and keep accumulating powders. <G>
When I do emboss, I go for the glitz! My faves in general are Egyptian
Gold, Aegean Silver (both include fine hologram glitter) and more and
more often lately I've been reaching for Translucent Gold. All these are
by Judikins. The translucent gold is just that. A *very* smooth melting
gold that allows the color below to shine through for a great gilded
effect. TGold over green pigment ink is a golden green, over red is a
more flame colored gilded red, over black its pure gold, and over blue
its gorgeous!
For general embossing in plain gold or black, I will never use anything
again but the fine line powders (available from Jutta Hood) Every detail
comes out with these eps. No clumping or blotching from the cut being to
coarse. These powders allow you to do fine detail fearlessly. I
recommend them highly. I think they're available in other colors too.
No affilliation with any companies, yadda yadda yadda.

Mona,
I am in the process of starting a rubber stamp business called Creative
Images. I am putting together designs right now for my magnesium plates.
If someone would put together a design I would be happy to add it to one of
my plates at no charge. The only charge would be for the stamp itself and
the postage to get them to you which would be a SASE if they were ums. I
would ask for the rights to the design so I could continue to carry the
stamp for future CCCC members. The cost of the stamp would depend on the
size and if you want them mounted or ums. Let me know what everyone thinks.
If I had a general idea of what size everyone wants I would be able to give
you a price for the stamps.

Well if there are any questions you may have about Stamparoni...I am the one
to answer them. The things I could tell you !!!! ROFL &L &L &L
Seriously though...she is a great "KID" I am very proud of her as a
daughter, wife mother and very very good friend. I have relied on her more
times that I could possible remember.
She is the reason I became infected with the "Rubber Virus" about 4 years
ago. She was expecting her Son and was invited to a stamping party. I
thought that she was nuts...but that wasn't any great surprise to me, I had
suspected it for some time. She called when the party was over and couldn't
spit out the words fast enough.
Yes-those that attended out Stamp Camp last July would have a few
interesting facts to relay...right Feathers ?

they are also very subtle. . . which is something that I thoroughly enjoy.

Hey Gang,
I'll join in on this one and encourage all the others to join in too,
especially all the stampers that have been on the list for ages and ages!
I joined this list just after the Grapevine convention last year and I
have learned so much and I hope I have given as much back!
I'm Kaye Lynne Thorn Bacon Ingold---I've only been married once, hehehe.
In my ancestry is an adoption of a Thorn by the Bacons. I married Jerry
after I trapped him in 1991. We have no children but we do have 11 cats
right now. Our oldest is 14 and he's a long hair gray/white tomcat
called Banjo. Next is the wild mama, she gives birth in our garage every
spring and sometimes fall. Then is Abraham and Zebediah, they are
brothers from the vet. They are ginger toms. Next is Tiger and Kelly,
from one of mama's litters. Tiger is kind of tiger striped silver and
black and Kelly is a calico. Then is Karoline and she is from wild mama
and half siamese. The siamese is her coloring but the temperament is
mutt. Next is Mollie, again from mama. She and her litter mate George,
created Emjaye. George is gone-ran away- and Emjaye is the worlds
stupidest cat! He was supposed to be MJ for Mollie Junior but he's a boy.
Then is Tabitha from who else......wild mama. One of my friends was going
to take her but backed out of it and the pet shop wouldn't take her
because she was too big. He litter mate was Ohrreaux who died in
December. The last one from mama is Sable, so named for a sable brown
coat. I had one other cat that was a favorite, that was Jonathon. He
died in 96.
Well, that's my family. I have 4 brothers (2 living) and 1 sister, a mom,
a dad and step mom, too many cousins aunts and uncles to count.
I started stamping shortly after we were married. We went to ND to
introduce me to his family in July 92. Just before meeting his mom, my
SIL showed me about embossing and stamping. After that trip, my MIL sent
me a metal stamp teddy bear (antique I think) and an ink pad. The rest is
history! I was hooked and there was a group at church called the crafty
christians and they got me to teach a stamping class. We made christmas
cards. It was nice and fun and I wouldn't mind teaching again! Now that
I've learned so much, I'd like to teach (the world to sing.... in perfect
harmony) Sorry about that!
I sing with the Alamo Metro Chorus of Sweet Adelines in San antonio. I'm
also in a new barbershop quartet. I've sung in church and college,
weddings and funerals. (even got paid a few times)
OK, I told about my family, cats, stamping, singing, what else is there?

My DH (who is a genius!) gave me a flat piece of wood, maybe 3" long,
1-1/2" wide and 1/2" thick. I use this to push the button on my punches and
now my hand never gets sore., even after I make a bunch of confetti.
Cheers!!!

They also come in copper, clear and white. I gotten to where I use them for
any words and most images I stamp (if they're the right color). When *are*
they coming out with more colors????
My favorite regular EPs are shimmering leaves and egyptian gold. Ah, I like
them *all.* I really wanna try the Lapis and Jasper from JudiKins.

I had a lot of problems with my punches but I took them down in the garage
and did this:
Sprayed them with WD-40
punched some pretty fine grit sand paper
punched waxed paper
I have a Mickey Mouse punch and his fingers used to always get *mangled.*
Now they don't.
Good luck.
