Subject: Re: RS: TAN: I've adopted a daughter!!!
Petie: I stopped being naughty on Friday (Feb 6th) and can't wait to
start being naughty again. Dear ol' Dad has been in the hospital...has
a heart valve replacement...and after 24 hours in ICU he's been moved to
a semi-private room. I guess this means I can stop being so serious and
go back to my naughty ways. After all...no one likes (especially me) it
when I have to be serious and deal with such serious issues as this.
Glad to hear that Tinkerbelle is recovering nicely. Its the pits when
someone or something you love is out of sorts due to the medication they
are on.

Subject: RS: My Stampscapes Demo!!!!
Well, for those of you who don't know...I'm now demo'ing AND teaching
Stampscapes at our local stamp store here in Green Bay, WI!!! Last night
was my FIRST EVER demo...and I'm DYING to share with you how it went.
I was scheduled to demo for one hour, 6-7 p.m. , last night. I got there
around 5:30 to set up..and there were people already waiting to see the
demo... I was really nervous at first...my first time and all... and I had
a general idea of how I wanted to approach the demo. I took several
stampscapes, and an assortment of supplies... and my trusty stipple
brushes!!!! I meant to basically recreate some pieces I'd already
done..stay with a familiar layout. But it didnt' work out that way..LOL
I ended up letting people pick out 3 different stampscapes images and I
created a piece of artwork with those three pieces...right there in front
of them. I figured, why try to control the creative process..I let the
crowd take over the demo..LOL I just created the artwork. By 7, there
was a line of people clear outside waiting to get in and see the demo...I
was totally amazed!!!! So the store owner kept me demo'ing until she had
to close the doors at 8!!!!! I've been asked to come back again tonight,
and demo from 6 to close. I've got classes set up to start teaching
beginning Stampscapes in March...two classes so far on 3/12 and 3/30. So
far it's all looking REALLY great!!!
You have no idea....how much I enjoyed doing that demo last night. It was
like pure magic for me.... <sigh> I LOVED IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! People
kept looking at the sample artwork..and said.."that is done with rubber
stamps?" Ohh wow....of course I HAD to show them how easy it was...and
they were immediately hooked!!!!! :-) I ended up making 8 different
pieces in 2 1/2 hours and gave each one away. I even met Barb Byrnes!!!
That was way cool.... I was working on my first piece during the
demo...and this hand shows up in front of me..so, without looking up, I
reached out to shake it..and I KNEW who it was...it was Barb... she's such
a delightful woman....this list will be missing a valuable memeber without
her here.
well, I just had to share... <smile>
I LOVE Stampscapes....and the demo...was like icing on the cake... so much
fun...and spontaneous creativity... complete interaction with the ones
watching... <sigh> I wish I could do this ALL the time!!!
WarmHugs

Subject: Re: RS: Need HALOS Help
hi megan
alas i think you will not have much success getting those stamps to stick
to your halos. these are the metropolitan museum of art stamps? i
mounted the xmas collection and the sun moon stars one this time last year
and they all just slipped right off. i talked with sheryl porter of halos
fame, even sent her a sample, and no solution has presented itself.
oddly, the stamps in these sets used to be able to be mounted... severla
people on the list have them and have successfully haloed them but the
manufacturers must have changed the composition of the polymer or whatever
the gray stuff is because now they sure wont stick.
if you figure out a solution please let me know.
i would be thrilled! i reall lkie some of these images and would love to
be able to use them.
good luck and keep me posted.

Wow, What a wonderful sss I have.
I have been gone for 3 days and one of those days my pkg. arrived.
I don't have the time to 'tell all' now but just wanted to acknowledge
now and will be specific later.
A lady that is like a mother to me but old enough to be my grandmother
fell and broke her arm and nose and sprained her ankle... I have
practically been living at her house since she got out of the hospital.
So I don't have much time at home and have deleted 99% of the stuff on
the list without reading.
I am really impressed with my package and want my SSS to know that I was
never pouty, I had faith in her and consider this package to be enough
for Jan/Feb. Thank you so much!
