Subject: RS: An unsolicited ADV for HRS!

Fellow stampers:
Just a few lines after reading Ginny's ADV tonight for the Happy Rubber Stamp
Club!
I am a newbie, not very well versed in all that goes on in the world of
rubberstamps. But, I have learned a lot through the Happy Rubber Stamp Club.
I have learned that "all stamps are not created equal" - I have bought stamps
at stores that were not of good quality, I've never found any HRS stamps to be
lacking in same.  [in fact the quality is great!]
When I joined the "club", I thought well it's another outlet for stamps (since
I live far, far away from stores} but, I am now "totally" adidcted to HRS!
Have not only met my membership commitment, but am well on my way to many free
stamps and/or reductions......
Thanks to Ginny, I always get my order, it's always great quality and I'd like
to thank her for adding little goodies along the way.  YEAH, I recommend HRS
and also recommend their unmounted system, achirilic (sp?) and fun
foam....works great and doesn't take up too much space.

Hi...whew...I've been busy...I think I joined too many swaps and was busy
today on a rush order for one of my customers...a valentine flyer for her
business.

Anyway...I rec'd order from Germaine's Gallery yesterday - got a whole bunch
of the 2x3" ziplock bags!  Also rec'd order from Ruthann - Clearsnap supplies.
Thanks Ruthann and Germaine!

Swaps - Yesterday I mailed out the Angel Co swap and the day before that (4th)
I mailed out the Computer - Embellishment Card swap.

Still working on the herb swap...hope to get that in mail next week sometime.

PLEASE keep the address lists to private posts between individuals.  If
you insist on listing your own addy... fine, since you are choosing to
expose yourself.  But don't list someone else's; that person needs to
make that decision for him or herself.

I realize that I may be starting a flame war - and that is certainly not
my intention.

Victoria,

I've found gum arabic at all of the Michael's that I've been to.  It is back
with the paint supplies in a squat little rectangular glass bottle.  It is
grouped with the acrylic gloss additives and stuff like that.  The glass
bottle of the liquid gum arabic runs almost $10.

Hope this helps locate it...the staff at Michael's has been clueless when I
had to ask.  I get up to the register and the clerk says "hey, what is this"
and "what's this for"...sigh. Not encouraging.

I just saw this on some show on television about a week or two ago.  What
this lady did was painted the fish  (I think she used a grouper or
something) with non-toxic paint (this way you could still eat the fish
afterwards - yuk!!).  She painted it various colors (body one color, fins
another, eye another, and so on).  She then covered it with some white
paper torn from a roll  and covered the fish and pressed down to transfer
the paint from the fish onto the paper.  She was actually making good $$$
from the pictures after framing.  Very intersting, but not quite my cup
of tea.

!!  Happy Stampin New Year  1998  !!

Still room for lots more players!  Come and join us!  This is my favorite
monthly swap cuz it is so easy!  Plus you get to see and collect a lot of the
images that are out there........great for newbies especially!

PROCEDURES:

**Send ten (10)** cards 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 inch cards (half sheet of cardstock).
Don't fold!
Include an ADDRESS LABEL (SAML) for me to use to return the cards.
**Send $1.00 for mailing the cards back**

DON'T COLOR.  Use WHITE - can be glossy or matte.  Stamp in black ink that
won't smear if colored with markers, or you can emboss.
EXCEPTION:  Verses are ok in color - they seem to look better
If you want to do different images on the cards instead of all the same, that
is fine.  Please include stamp credits.  Put your name and e-mail addy on the
back of each card.  All cards must be postmarked by the last day of each
month.
Stamp things that will be EASY to cut out.  Remember you will have to cut out
what you get back to use to make your own cards.

Reminders:
Choose images that are EASY TO CUT OUT and use WHITE PAPER.  The only
exception is if you do a large stamp that can only fit a couple of times on
the card, then the card can be cut in half and used like a mat.  For example,
a floral image from PSX is usually large, so just stamp the image twice on
one card and the card could easily be cut in half.

New Procedures:
Send TEN cards instead of the previous six.
Send ONE DOLLAR instead of .78cents.  I will use the money to buy envelopes
and for the extra postage to mail back to you.

Can't wait to see all your great images!!  Let's play!

I was sitting accross from a friend who was eating a Carl's Jr. large salad,
and as the salad was almost gone, I looked at the plastic plate.....and know
what I saw??.....  a wonderful paper cast for a frame!!!! It is rectangle,
with really cool scalloped/ridged sides that curve around, and the middle
section is recessed just right for a picture, or maybe even a dried flower
arrangement. It is amazing.....I just can not go anywhere with considering
what I can use for stamping/papermaking/crafting!!! Thw world is a veritable
smorgusboard of possibilities!!!! .....................be on the watch!! Laura

Ah, but there's the rub.  "All others say that if you "accept Jesus

The key word here is ACCEPT.  Just because someone SAYS they accept
doesn't necessarily make it so.  I'm sure you've all heard of "lip
service" especially when it puts one in a good light.

I just wanted to say a sincere "Thank You" to those who took the time to
share their views regarding capital punishment.   There is no way we will
all ever come to agreement on this issue, and I think in this discussion we
all were respectful of the views presented, whether or not we necessarily
agreed with them.

It would seem, from reading all the posts, that whatever our stance is, we
all share a concern that this old world be a better place for our children
and all those we love.  Maybe as women and mothers, as friends and
companions ... we have the ability to make the world a better place.
Maybe the working out of "how" to make it a better place is what the
journey of our lives is all about.

My world is better ... 'cause you're in it.
