Thanks for the explanation, Heather. I have been wondering about you for
a long time!
Just kidding. This environment does offer a whole different kind of
friendship. I think the fact that you posted your message at all shows that
you are sort of testing the waters with your big toe and that eventually,
when you find the temperature to be comfortable, you'll get a little more
"wet", and then a little more until eventually, you either just dive in or you
decide you'll wait for another day when the water might be warmer. Online
friends don't place the same burdens on each other as offline friends nor
do they use the same criteria to judge who should be a friend.
Venture a little closer, Heather, and maybe you'll be able to translate the
kind of friendship you find here into your offline life.
Either way, let's be friends, okay?

Hello all,
I just wanted to tell you all that you have been great stamping
friends from
the list. But, just thought i'd had to tell you all that I am shy and
don't have a whole
lot of friends. Also, i guess that's why i don't post much. So, Just
thought i'd let
you all know since you have all been great On Line friends.

We have an 80 gallon tank with no hood in our bedroom. We also have a
kitten who likes to fish! We are just waiting for her to fall into the
tank. Unfortunately it that ever happens we probably won't have the video

Maralee,
I have always been able to get the paper-covered boxes for nothing but
have had to pay .50 or 1.00 for the pretty wooen boxes. You can descent
them by filling them with crumpled newspaper, preferably the kind that still
leaves ink stains on your hands. Leave the paper in for a couple of days,
you can even throw in a used dryer sheet.

No one I know smokes those ole stinky cigars. I just like to use the
boxes to put things in. When I was very little, my Dad would bring home
the empties from the stores he owned (grocery stores), and give them to
me to decorate and play with. I remember storing my sewing in them, my
doll clothes, and other treasures. (My Mom always decented them, first.
However, since she is gone, I can't ask her how she did this.) Now, I
like putting other stuff in them.
To get them, I just go into any cigar store and ask if they have any
empty cigar boxes that i could have. I usually walk out with 6 to 8 of
them. Some are really nice!! And they don't cost a cent! (Love that
price!! <G>)
Try to get some where yu are and report back. Ok? I'm curious if all
places will give them away.
Maralee

Ruth,
Are you in a large city? Most smaller town PO's will hand cancel items for
you, but a lot of bigger towns won't anymore. I think it has something to do
with bomb scares and stuff. They are afraid of what might be in those bulky
packages. It may help if you call your post office and talk to the person in
charge. Tell them what you are sending and ask how to go about getting them
hand cancelled. Then when you go to the window, make sure you have the name
of the head hauncho you spoke with in case the teller gives you any trouble!
Good Luck! :)

So, yes, Suzanne, you are older. As is Barb. And Harold Jack... And LindaLoo.
I was born in 1952. But I am the mom of an almost 3-year-old so that

No, one of us won't. This is a hoax.
Think about it. If Bill Gates wanted to test e-mail tracking
software, he wouldn't just unleash it out to the internet at large. He has
a lot of software testers on the Microsoft campus in Redmond to do that.
He also wouldn't just send out an e-mail saying, "Hi, I'm Bill Gates and
I'm giving away money and product!" Sorry, but Bill Gates' business model
doesn't include that.
It's just another chain letter, that's all. Nothing more, nothing
less. Do yourself and your friends' mailboxes a favor and delete this
puppy unread and unforwarded if you receive it.

Subject: RS: COMM: Grab Bags for SSS and whoever else would like them
Hi there stamping friends. It has been requested by a few who ordered and
received my grab bags last SSS go round that I repeat the offer. So here it
is!
I can make up grab bags for your SSS or for you. I can make a $15, $20, or
$25 grab bag. You must add $3 for shipping. I will ship out of the country
for a little extra in shipping. The stamps are a mixture of All Night Media,
Stampendous, Art Impressions, Holly Pond Hill, Azadi, and That's All She
Stamped, Effie Glitzfinger, VIP, Sweet Impressions, Dewey, Inkum, & Howe. I
can do the bags according to themes as well. The following themes are
currently available: Christmas, Bears, Pooh (will be available in March),
Mary Engelbreit, Nestling Stamps, Florals, Halloween, Inspirational, Country,
Landscapes, Under the Sea, Borders & Corners, Birthday, In The House (doors,
bathrooms, etc.), Hearts, Holly Pond Hill, Tea, Coffee, Fantasy, Frames,
Animals and Odds and Ends. Individual themes are limited, so first come first
served.
I also have some accessory grab bags that may include any of the following:
pigment pads, embossing powders, Kaleidacolor pads, glitter glue, Mini Vivids,
liquid applique, foils, matchbook pads, dry embossing stencils and stylus,
punches, decorative scissors, & markers.
If you want to mix some accessories with your stamps to create a grab bag just
email me and we can work something out.
If the grab bag is for a SSS I will gift wrap each item in the grab bag as an
extra special touch and package it in an attractive manner. I will also
enclose a card explaining that it is from their SS! I will also email you to
let you know exactly when it went out and what was in it.
I take money orders or checks. When ordering please put my name in the
subject line to make sure it is not accidentally deleted. I look forward to
helping you fulfill you SSS needs or your own stamping needs.

You know, cake decorators are already using edible papers for decorating
cakes with what look like photos. We just had a "Super Bowl" cake with a
photo
of John Elway on it, and it was almost lifelike. They told me the
picture was
printed on this stuff they called "rice paper" with edible dyes and food
colorings,
and the paper is applied over the top of the frosting, where it all but
disappears,
except for the image itself. It's very cool, and the applications we
could come up
for it (if we could get ahold of it ourselves) are mind boggling!! Might
ask your
local major grocery store about the stuff, that's where we got our cake
(King
Soopers).

From: Dorothy Ferris <dorothy@dfsi.net>
Subject: RS: Medical update and request.
Hi Everyone,
Well Friday I went to the doctor to find out about scheduling the 3
surgeries I needed to get my right leg back. Unfortunately though
because my knee has been in this brace for over a year they can no
longer do anything to help me. So now I'm having to deal with living
with a disability that can not be corrected due to workers compensation
laws in the state of Florida. See they could not do the surgeries when
they were needed because the "evidence" would have been destroyed. So I
had to wait and finally settled out of court to get my life back. I
didn't know my condition had come to a point where nothing can correct
it.
Then when I got home Friday, e-mail had a problem. I could send but not
receive. Sunday night I did get 200 messages and then wham! Monday
they had to give me a new e-mail addy and delete the other messages.
Then Tuesday I had 507 messages but couldn't retrieve them. They
finally got everything straight yesterday and sent me one message with
over 2,000 other messages attached to it. Well there were some that I
couldn't read and some I couldn't print (would have had to print all or
none). So if you sent me an email I probably didn't get it or just got
eye strain before I had a chance to read it. Would everyone that sent
me a message please repeat it? I did find out who I have as a SSS so I
was thrilled with that. I'm busy getting stuff together to send her and
it's helping my spirits.
Thanks for reading this and for the many prayers.

We had a cat that used to poop in the bathtub. Everyday I'd come home
from work and the cat would run into the bathroom and poop in the tub.
Well, one day I filled the tub up with water and went to work. I came
home from work, the cat ran past me and jumped into the tub! Splash!
She screeched, ran thru the house soaking wet and hissing. She never
pooped in the tub again! LOL!!!
