I 1st have to say, Julie, have a good trip, you'll be missed.
Now, I was loving Friday's episode w/Lucky & Liz. They are just way too cute
together. I keep finding myself hoping something, a lil' peck at least will
happen before (& if) Jonathan leaves for school. I can't even imagine anyone
else playing Lucky & also leaving Liz in the lurch.
Also, does anyone else think Veronica has an ulterior motive for NOW coming
to see Brenda? It's very weird.

You know, I am 25 and these guys are just about my fave part of gh
right now! I am glad I am not the only one who thinks they are so
adorable-- I must admit I felt kind of silly about it since I am older
than they are, which sounds silly even as I write it, but I like them I
guess because they remind me of those days in high school and how great
and angsty it all was-- and still can be (who am I kidding? :D)
I do wish they would get rid of Katherine for good!! Stefan is at least
tolerable without her and sometimes quite intriguing. I don't like him
as the happy as a clam guy, which he tried to pull off with Katherine.
I find him much more enjoyable as the obsessing over Laura and trying to
do the right thing for Nicholas even to the point of sacrificing his
freedom.
I have been curious-- watching the Robin/Jason/Mac thing-- I know that
conflict is important to the story, because without it it gets boring,
but I really do think that Robin is being naive-- I know that love
conquers all blah blah blah-- but would anyone else really like to see
Jason give a stab at leaving the business? I don't know if this is in
the works or not, but I think seeing the repurcussions of that on all
parties involved would be much more interesting than Robin spending 24/7
declaring her love for Jason bullets be darned!! Maybe it's just me--
does anyone else enjoy this as is or would they like to see a change?
Wow-- it's been a long time since I posted anything!

[Bounce. -- T.]
I don't think I need to spoiler this, since it's long since aired out West...
Wowza.
I'm admittedly a total sucker for unrequited/unspoken love, and today was
just absolutely a gift for my stupid little romantic heart. Laura came up
with a fabulously truth-based bunch of lies (good job, Laura), and Stefan
sat there-- at first absolutely petrified, then slowly understanding what
she was doing and every cell in his body just glowing.
And the look on Luke's face as he realized Laura was lying about sleeping
with Stefan-- brutally great acting. You could see the absolute second he
realized what had truly happened. Gorgeous.
Don't get me wrong-- I like Luke and Laura together; I have ever since they
first met. Watched the rape, watched them on the run, had a party in high
school when they got married (I'm dating myself!!!), sobbed when she came
back from the "dead," etc.. But I have been impressed with the chemistry
between Genie Francis and Steven (sp?) NIchols since he first joined GH and
I <always> enjoy their scenes together. He gets a little more "loose,"
more interesting when she's around; she has to work a little harder because
it's not as comfortable with him as it is with Tony Geary. I just enjoy
the two of them, though I don't think I'd buy a Luke/Laura breakup.
Of course, I wish he'd come right out and admit he's madly in love with
Laura and always has been. But, as Cagey pointed out to me, Katherine
probably isn't a <real> ghost, so she's really Stefan's unconscious
speaking to him (and this I didn't figure out on my own-- I'm not very
bright <G>). Which makes it all the more interesting-- Stefan himself
hasn't ever admitted he's currently in love with Laura, but the Katybelle
Ghosty Girl certainly has...
And I also liked the radiant look on Nik's face at the end, when he was
saying "She chose me." I don't always like Tyler Christopher, but I liked
that bit, a lot.
Oh, I'm babbling. Sorry. :)

clap, clap, clap. Again, Tony & Genie pull another one off. This has been
one of the best years for them. And Genie can turn on the waterworks so
easy. Makes me wonder how she's never been nominated for an Emmy, I think
this may be the year!

I find myself feeling the same way. I love Stephen to death, as I did on
Days, & wow how different could the characters be! He's been pulling off
great scenes, without uttering a single word.
<But, as Cagey pointed out to me, Katherine

Yup, think that one is the winner! I don't think she's dead at all!
I also liked Nik at the end about Laura choosing him. How sweet! But, I felt
ripped off that nothing "really" happened w/Liz & Lucky. How did you guys
feel about that?

Haven't seen today yet-- though I'm dying to-- but here's a (probably
flawed and certainly biased) summary of Laura's testimony...
Laura took the stand and said that she'd come back to PC on the night of
the ball because she was concerned about Nik. She felt he was losing
faith in his uncle and wanted to find him and reassure him further (weak,
but it seemed to work). Laura said that even Luke didn't know she'd been
at Wyndemere, because of the bad feelings between him and the Cassadines
(this part was especially well-handled, IMO). Laura said she was in
costume and masque, so no one saw her; she was looking for Nik and went up
to the balcony because she heard Kat and Bat's voices (but couldn't hear
any specific words), and when Katharine saw Laura she stepped back and the
railing gave way. Laura said she never saw the portrait, and that Stefan
was far away from Kat so he couldn't have caused her to fall.
As I alluded to yesterday, at the beginning of her testimony, Stefan
looked absolutely frozen and terrified-- probably for Laura, mostly. As
he realized that she'd constructed a fairly plausible story-- based on
truth-- you could just see him... not melt, but somehow without moving
too many facial muscles (we wouldn't want to do that, would we? <G>) he
managed to convey absolute relief and-- completely IMO-- just loved Laura
all the more.
Dara's cross-examination would NEVER have been allowed in a courtroom.
She was disbelieving that Stefan would have gone to such lengths to
protect Laura as to be willing to go to jail; I think Laura turned it
around somewhat neatly to make it like Stefan was really protecting Nik,
not her. That bit I'm fuzzy on.
Dara eventually came right out and asked Laura if Laura and Stefan had
(now or ever) been involved in a physical relationship. Laura was
<obviously> thrown by the question, and both Luke and Stefan reacted very
visibly. They broke to commercial, and when they came back Laura lied and
said "Of course not."
Luke was looking at her and about a half a beat later, he <knew.> And he
left the courtroom. Laura was upset. I can't remember what came after
that testimony-wise, but Laura left the courtroom going after Luke very
quickly. Stefan made to go after Laura, but Alexis wisely stopped him and
Stefan listened, for once. There was some interplay with Helena being her
usual self. Nik looked at Stefan and Alexis and said-- disbelievingly--
"She chose me. For once, she chose me." And Stefan looked back at Nik
with tears in his eyes. Very lovely.
Last Laura scene was her going home to a dark, empty house and crying for
Luke to come back.
Last Stefan scene was after everyone had left the courtroom, Kat's mirage
showed up and her words to Stefan were "She chose <you.>" Nice
juxtaposition.
I may actually watch this episode again this weekend, I liked it that
much. I get that "All My Soaps" channel and they re=run everything on
Saturday and Sunday. :)

Taiyan, you're so lucky to have that All my soaps channel. How cool.
I must comment on Bobbie & Jerry's kiss yesterday. Wowzer, what the hell was
that? I didn't think (& they didn't) would come up for air. And I HOW can
Monica be dealing w/Taggart blackmailing her? She's a Quartermaine, they
have paid off the best people to do whatever they wanted. Hello, kill
people, blackmail, whatever. I can't believe she wouldn't go there. She
seems to be whimpering to me & that's TOTALLY outta character. Is Guza
smoking some wacky weed or something?

That wasn't me. That was Jill. (Her message bounced and I had to forward
it to the list. That's what the "[Bounce. -- T]" at the top of the messages
means. And that is also why we have the rule about signing your messages,
so that if/when that happens you can see who sent the message in the
signature, instead of relying on the header, which isn't always right.)

That's because Guza is so focused on the Spencer/Cassadine stuff he has
divested the Quartermaines of all of their spine and fun and quirkiness and
uniqueness. This is the first time since her brief return last year that I
DON'T want Jane Elliot to come back as Tracy because I just don't want Guze
to get his hands on her. Pfft.

Phew, was their scenes of "doing it" extremely hot or was it me! The way
Dara was looking at him so innocently & shy was great. I think yesterday was
the day Guza went to work. And also, Luke & Laura's confrontation scene was
FABULOUS! How long did Laura think it would be for Luke to put 2 & 2
together & realize Nik was Stefan & Laura's child? And it was also
interesting to see Nik go to Lucky & Lucky actually listen to Nik that Laura
may be in trouble. It was a fab show. And shocking enough, I almost,
almost...enjoyed Emily falling all over herself inviting Nik to her photo
shoot. That was cute, but phew, Laura again stole the show! Kudos, Genie, we
know why we missed you so much!

Subject: GH/PC: ADMIN: Slight Change & an Apology
I wanted to extend an apology to all the members of both lists because when
I set up the lists I left the ability to queary the majordomo to get a
listing of the members of the list. It is a tool that, unless you are
familiar with domo configs, you don't use. And really, for LIST PURPOSES,
it's of no use to anyone but me. I didn't think to block that feature when
I set up the list. Unfortunately.
Several of us -- including myself at my *work* address <grrrr> -- have been
spammed with religious material this morning.
I am changing the list set up so that no one can get the list of addresses
again. In the meantime, however, I want to apologize for the fact that
someone got ahold of list addresses and is now sharing their religious POV
with all of us.
So, apologies, and I will do my best to prevent this from happening again.
