>Does ANYONE else notice that Luke's

Luke into an alcoholic, and I can't see Tony Geary playing one.
I AGREE 100%!!! Especially since Tony has made "Luke" his character, so to
speak over the years.
<Maybe
the drinking is a "manly" way[albeit a destructive one] of showing
the character's pain and turmoil. Luke isn't exactly the kind of guy
who would cry;)
Ok, I think I get what you're going for, but with so much drugs, mobsters,
rape, drinking on ONE show, you'd think that TPTB would appreciate one of
it's most enduring characters. (sure, I know this is the Soap world, but...)
>*Who lets Luke get away with things lesser characters have been
tarred and feathered for;)*
Yeah, really, but as this rape storyline came back to haunt him, anything's
possible.
And might I add, I was smiling when Luke & Laura were talking & he decided
to spend the night. (Loved the reaction between Luke & Lulu, too!)
but, question, why don't they ever show Luke & Laura in those passionate
scenes anymore? A quick smoochie & that's it???? (This seem to start when
Genie had her 1st child. Does anyone think that's strange?

Please, someone convince me that he isn't a condescening dork! Good grief!
Older brother decked the wrong clueless, delusional dummy at the Ball.
Sheesh.
It's offensive enough to do that to a "normal" person, but to do that to a
fellow gazillionaire is not only BEYOND offensive, it's just stupid. And
what was that threat about? Oh please, gimme a break.>>
I know I'm sure Sonny was shaking in his shoes, LOL.
I was dying laughing during this scene. Sonny kind of looked at Jax like an
annoying insect. I think of all Jax's scene's I've enjoyed this one the most,
and it most described what he is all about.
Sonny summed Jax up perfectly when he said, "You really don't know anything do
you? You don't know what's going on. (pause) At this point I'm not sure you
should be told."
Perfect.
What the heck did Jax do before he met Brenda? It's like he has tunnel
vision. And he can't believe that anyone else has a life where Brenda is not
central to it.
I can see him calling the White House if Clinton raised taxes. Was it because
Brenda wasn't working as much this last year, and thus the tax burden had to
be shifted to the rest of us? It has to have something to do with her.
I did enjoy the scene with these two though, Sonny was so in control of the
situation:-).

I just have to say, when Edward said yesterday, I'm not sure about the
entire quote, but he had mentioned about funding (Alan's) own space station,
it was HILARIOUS! And the look on Ned's & Aj's faces was PRICELESS! And,
thank TPTB that they gave Mike/Sonny that scene! (although Sonny was being a
bit too smug for me!) Finally, a scene where Ron Hale can show his skills.
Clap, clap, clap.
Also, I realized just how "funny" Taggart is again. I thought he had a bit
of his humor when dealing w/Jason, but I was laughing out loud during their
scenes!
And...(I'm going on & on I know, bare w/me..) when Jason told Tony that he
was only alive because of Robin & he said accidents happen, Tony REALLY did
look a bit scared, don't ya think. It was a great day on GH!)....Loved
Monica ranting at Alan. (still why couldn't a doctor & 2 addicts get a clue
about Alan's behavior?)

re: Alan and Taggert... =
i must say, even though taggert is usually WAY too annoying =
for my taste, i had a BRIEF moment of feeling sorry for him
at the nurse's ball that i found very interesting. after alan fell
apart onstage, and taggert was actually trying to HELP him
backstage, and then he asked em if she was ok and she said
"what do you care" or something to that effect...i found that
whole scene a bit odd. it made me wonder where we're
really heading with all of this.
now, i want this alan addiction thing over with as much as
anyone, but at this point the only part of it that even SLIGHTLY
interests me is why taggert is acting the way he is about it.
i was beginning to get the feeling during that nurse's ball
scene that he has some very personal experinece with this
sort of thing--either through his own father, which screwed
up his childhood, which is why he's so concerned about =
this situation now, or through himself, and he had a wife and
child whose lives he similarly screwed up. complete and
total speculation, of course, but...it sorta kinda makes sense,
maybe? or maybe not...but i sure am wondering why mr.
law and order is cutting alan so much slack...

there's another murder in July! So...any guesses on who is REALLY the

that's an excellent point--not that i thought for a second that it was
him anyway. i agree with flea and v--way too convenient. (however,
i suppose it doesn't surprise me one bit that the ever-so-astute
pcpd hasn't picked up on this yet...) incidentally, kind of odd that

hmmm...back to this game again, huh? well...i really don't
see it being victor. he might have been mad enough to =
kill devlin, but not grace and jake. the three i keep returning
to are chris, frank, and lark. (assuming, of course, that whoever
said pc wouldn't pull a gh and make the killer some random
like the tin man is right...which i REALLY hope they are!) so...
of those three, i'd LIKE it to be chris, because he deserves
to get what's coming to him...but somehow i think that's
too convenient as well--they've bent over backwards giving
him too many reasons to kill each of the three victims. if
we go on the assumption that it has to be a main character,
if nobody else is leaving the show it has to be someone
they can make a murderer without having many dire =
consequences (like life in prison)...which would probably
work for either lark or frank (frank by virtue of his altered
state from the dl56 (or whatever it's called--if you were
inventing a new drug, wouldn't you be more inclined to

just, PLEASE...do NOT put us through lucy's "eve the killer"
routine AGAIN when the new murder surfaces...PLEASE???
wishful thinking, i know. i'm curious to see who the next

the unimportant characters so far! hmmm...i vote for julie!

Yep! I would LOVE it to be Chris and I'd love to see him live in
prison for a while and then get out on some ridiculous
technicality...just the idea of him locked up with a big guy named
Bubba who will get Chris's face tatooed on him is really appealing
after what a worm he's been... ;) But, alas...somehow, I agree that
they're not headed there...bummer. Now, Frank is driving me up a wall
- - I grab something to read or go get something from another room when
he's on. He just makes me uncomfortable. He's an excellent actor to
go from being one of my favorite nice guys to making my skin crawl,
but enough is enough - it's gone on WAY too long! So, yeah, he's my
best bet, but I don't understand something - what is the deal with him
and Lark??? Last we saw, he practically ripped her limb from limb and
we all thought he might have killed her in a rage. Now she shows back
up after all this time and they're just good buddies?? What the
h*ll????? Did I miss something?? As for Lark, I wouldn't like it to
be her - she's a very mis-understood, neglected kid, and although she
certainly has pulled some rotten stunts, I still think they have an
opportunity to show what good fostering and adoption can do for
troubled kids and I'd like to think they're not going to just sit
there an perpetuate sterotypes instead. Yeah, I know...based on all I
just said, it'll probably be Lark. LOL! BTW, your comment on naming
drugs made my whole day - that just cracked me up! :)

AbSOluteLY!!!! She's like nails on a chalkboard lately - the way
all of you complain about (though I don't see it so much) Robin being
so high and mighty and preachy is the way I see Julie lately! She's
always complaining about something or someone. Ick! She's so quick
to jump down everyone else's throat, I'd love to see her face if/when
she finds out she's been sleeping with the murderer!!! Though, I must

Well, at first, when he caught Alan buying I thought he wanted to
"have something" on Alan so he could use his influence. I mean, that
scene was right after Dara had told him that he was coming up on
review and that he better hope he had powerful friends, or something
like that. But, that doesn't explain why he let Alan off the hook in
the hotel room a ways back or his behavior at the Nurses Ball, so I
don't know. Maybe it's a combination of wanting to have something to
hold over him, and honestly beginning to feel sorry for the guy???

That's an interesting theory, but not likely. Lynn Latham said that the
murderer was going to be a main character on the show. The thing that really
bothers me about this whole Jake thing is just how easily everyone accepts it,
especially Kevin. As a psychiatrist and the author of the book, you'd think
he'd be a little more suspicious of Jake's "suicide", or at least comment on
how none of it makes sense. Maybe even Victor and his analytical mind could
get in on this. Come on, Collins Family, dazzle me as always with your
brilliant minds!!!!
On another note, The next victim HAS to be Julie! Could she be any more
annoying?

behavior was kind of odd. and joe, who really
had no idea what he was talking about. but =
sonny and karen and robin were amazing. it's
so nice to see tptb USING the characters' history
again! (it was ALMOST enough to make up for =
that nauseating kat & bat "flashback" at the beginning
of the show...ALMOST.)
on another note--why doesn't lesley lu ever TALK???
and...the scenes for next week...lucky and lizzie! i
can hardly wait! :-)

Hi again...
I'm so excited - this is one of the first times I've posted something
that actually turned into a discussion! LOL!! I musta had a more
interesting day...lol.... ;~)

I tried for a moment today, when the (ick) "Good Lucy" was saying
all the things to Lucy that we've all been saying, to tell myself the
writers were trying to let us all know that they hear us or
something...it didn't last long...lol! When they kept calling each
other "Girlfriend" which I don't recall Lucy EVER doing, it was
getting to me...and then, after pointing out all the reasons not to do
it, which would have made the REAL Lucy change her mind if they
weren't destroying all the progress she'd made, they had her do it
anyway, they lost me. Though it was kinda cute when she smushed the
Good Lucy... ;~)

Oh I know!!! What WAS that??? How ridiculous! And then she only
jogs a few feet toward the car and stops...puh-leeze.

Yeah, we can hope A LOT! And, did anyone else get up and do
something else during that love scene....why make him so repulsive and
then show us a sex scene? Fooey!

Everything I've read, they're saying that we'll never know who
the rapist was - it's not the point of the story.

Yep - though I'm still keeping my fingers and toes crossed to see
Chris get his...btw, what is Frank going to do when he can't get the
drug anymore with the lab shut down? Does that mean MAYBE we'll see
the end of this?? Please, please please??? :)

Subject: GH/PC: ADMIN: READ this
Two reminders:
Don't, don't, don't, DON'T cite back more than five lines
of material from a previous post when you send your own
reply. If you are addressing more than one point, it is
fine to cite information related to each point, as long as
you do it in less than five lines of cited material per
point. I'm *really* tired of reminding people of this
rule. We've seen the previous posts already, guys, and
when you cite that much you waste bandwidth. Our members
who pay for the minute for online access, and spend many
minutes downloading huge messages with nothing but "Me
toos" or one-line observations appended to previous posts
don't appreciate it.
Remember, if I have to keep reminding you, you'll be
unsubbed for a while so that you'll have time to read the
list rules at your leisure.
(rant mode off)
Please remember as well, that spoiler space *must* have
characters other than periods in it. If you use periods,
or if you simply use twelve lines of blank space, it
confuses some mailers--they either automatically delete the
space, thereby inadvertantly spoiling the reader, or they
assume the message is over and chop it off. You don't want
your esteemed list members to miss your scintillating
observation about the future of PC and GH, do you?
Thanks.

ugh...ALL of it's getting to me! i HATE they way both
good lucy and bad lucy talk, in that sing-songy little
fake accent way. i can't believe lynn herring is putting
up with this...i feel sorry for her
i WAS screaming in agreement when good lucy told her
she's "become so much better than this" though. god i =
wish the writers would show us they believe that...

sadly, no. you must have been ff-ing those scenes...but
frank's found himself a supplier--the guy who makes it for
him, and who wanted to know what it was he was making
until frank threatened to pummel him and told him to just
make the stuff and forget about figuring out what it is.
<sigh>
