What a dumb French I am... :)
I couldn't get Smiley, as I forgot my mobile phone at home.
But this week end was also cool.
Bought 10 copies of the Semisonic CD (for those who asked). Semisonic seems
to be a nice rock/pop group.
The Orb remix is one of the saddest they ever done. Feels like FFWD without
the Robert Fripp touch.
Remixed by LX and Simon Phillips (guest : Tom Green). It's not a complete
massacre of the song (like the Cranberries remix or the NIN one), but like
a follow-up of the original song (It's called The Morning After). Of
course, LX uses samples and voice distortions, but what is surprising is
the intro chords (electronic, not real). Well, you've got to hear the remix
to know what I mean. Misses the Andy Hughes touch, though.
Found the Youngones CD with the remix homage to the Orb. And a brand new
copy of Chill Out on LP (in HMV), plus "Orb in Dub" in mint condition.
Found also "Berlin Unwrapped", a 5 X 12" with tracks by Sun Electric and
Thomas Fehlmann :
Sun Electric : Flat and Endless 7.22
Time Unlimited : Men From Wadodem 6.34
Ocean Club : Die Sonne 4.20
Thomas Fehlmann : Hermosa Beach 4.23
Saw also a 12" promo of the Orb : Toxygene (Ganja Kru remix). Never saw it
before...
Didn't see the acetate of The Orb : Steam Power (Tom Middleton remix)
mentioned in the last issue of Musik by Deep Dish.

Nobody knows it
But you've got a secret smile
And you use it only for me

Hello all.
sorry for straying from the lists main band, but I
know there's a few Mouse On Mars fans out there that
this information will benefit. I STRONGLY reccomend
going to see them on their tour, for they don't come
