Subject: (orb) Royal Albert Hall
Hello from Canada,
I have to say a few things about this show:
1) I was very dissapointed that we were not able to hook up before the
show. I guess I was just thinking how cool it would have been to get all
these Orbheads from all over the place together for a pint. Oh well.
2) Sorry about pinching one of the posters off the wall, but let's face
it, it was there, and I had no idea they were going to be selling them
outside after and the security was a joke (not your usual Royal Albert Ha=
ll
crowd I don't think) Let me tell you how much of a problem getting this
back to Toronto was without ruining it.
3) This was an amazing venue for the Orb. As Smiley said, the accoustic=
s
were top notch. The chairs were cosy (for when I was actually sitting) a=
nd
the fans were having a great time.
3) I saw KLF shirt and old Adventures shirt. I have to say, the U.F.OFF
shirt was not very Orbish, I was a bit disappointed.
4) I was first in Section J and then moved to right next to the stage to
take some photos ( I will post them after I get them back) and then I wen=
t
to the back under the projectors where the sound was actually the best.=20
The set was, well, the best of the Orb, and they were pretty much at thei=
r
best. Very few problems and overall a great show.
5) While in London I was able to find the video with the bonus CD
(=A312.99), the 2CD UFOff (=A313.99), Sun Electric live (=A35.00)(very h=
ard to
find in Canada) and FFWD (=A35.00)(very hard to find everywhere). For thi=
s I
really must thank Smiley for sending me in the right direction. This
pretty much made my trip. Thanks.
Anyway, too bad we didn't get together fo a pint, but I had a great time
regardless.
Andrew

Subject: (orb) U.F. OFF for sale
Hi guys,
I received my copy of the 2CD version of U.F.OFF from Plato Den Haag on
saturday and
I simply love the 2nd CD ;-). The Mickey Mars remix is sooooo cool!!
Because of this I have the 1CD version of U.F.OFF for sale/trade.
So if someone out there is interested in the 1CD version just let me
know.
Don't need it any longer.
Did someone already mention that the cover of the 2CD version looks
a bit different? Well, the clouds on the 1CD cover are blue while the
clouds on the 2CD version are green ;-). Not so important, eh?
Have fun,
Michael

i'm a new kid on the block, so forgive me if this has been covered
already. Does anybody have any thoughts concerning the cryptic morsel
of info on "Cydonia" alluded to in theorb.com's preview? It sez,
"think ... songs." Is this a return to a more airplayable lx and co.?
"Micky Mars" ain't LFC, but it ain't "Occidental," either. Thoughts

FSOL, ISDN with a white cover is not rare, its easy enough to find (I

cover is rare (my brother has it, he found two of them in a wee shop in
Bangor - N.Ireland; unfortunately, he gave one to someone else and not me

track differences, mainly that ISDN white has some Amorphous Androgynous

interesting...
If you find the URL for the RA of it, then please send me, I'm VERY

Alright...they might not actually be off the Amorphous Androgynous album,
but they are of a similar style, probably closely related, like a lot of
the stuff off ISDN which has so many bits of lifeforms in it if you listen
hard enough. Now when it comes to ISDN black having songs off Dead Cities,
I sure as hell haven't noticed anything; but it does give me an excuse to
steal my brothers copy of ISDN black to compare with dead cities and ISDN
white.
Anyway, to drag some orb content into all this...I got UF OFF yesterday (I
was really pissed off and needed cheering up, so I spent 90 squid on
CDs....gosh my day went soooo much better after that) and I must say, that
is my favourite Orb sleeve yet! The music ain't bad neither! Its good to
hear some of those mad mixes, which I probably wouldn't have been able to
get for some time.
I also purchased, among others, the Thomas Fehlmann album Flow:
ninezeronineeight; which shows a serious chunk of his influence on the
band. I might have to search out other thingies....

cd (there's only one, right?), and I don't recall any of those
