I've had this one for a looonngg time now (my first "techno" cd!) (the
price was about the same, I live in Vancouver so if anyone wants skinny
puppy stuff, I can get it for $4/cd about 2x a year.. (nettwerk garage
sales :)) anyways, track 5 is a <<complete>> rip of towers of dub.. many of
the songs on that cd are ripped from other places, without credit.. that's
what really gets me.. they do a remix of a song, then don't even bother to
credit it.. I think track 3 is a remix of an enigma song, and there's a few
others that are remixes as well.. o well, what can you do? it's a nice cd
for around $10.. :) (it's about 75 mins long...)

death on one side but it is absolutely excellent has anyone else heard this
one, I also got Deep Forest promo of Sweet Lullaby, this ones 33.5rpm and is
a real corker. Can someone tell me if there albums are this good?

They are awesome tracks. I just wish that they had released both mixes
on one CD. AFAIK you have to buy a couple of obscure comps in order to
get CD versions of the mixes.

Thanks,

In reply to Jeff's FFWD question:
FFWD is fantastic! To me It is a very ambient album, someone on the
list recently (sorry, can't remember who.) discribed it as "an album of orb
intros". Close, but i think it has more to it than that. As for comparission to
other orb albums, i don't know, can you compare orbus to u.f.orb? or ABTU to
orblivion? pomme fritz to Anything?!!
If you like nearly all the other orb stuff i very much doubt you will
be disappointed? personally it is one of my favs!

I keep thinking that it would sound better with the "orb-ized"
version from A Huge Ever... -- probably cheaper too. =)

I just had to [brag?] express my enthusiasm at finding the Limited
Edition U.F.Orb on the internet. I just recieved it today.. I love it. I
had never heard U.F.Orb before; just the live songs from Live 93.
Haven't listened to the Patterns and Textures soundtrack yet... Now all
I need is the movie;) Oh, the place where I found it is called Action
Records. I'm sure some [many] of you have heard of it. They are great.
They also showed the green vinyl blueroom UK promo, but unfortunatly it
was already sold when I tried to order it along with Alec Empire: Low on
Ice. They have a lot of stuff. Highly recomended.

what I want is to trade this for the ffwd album.
if not that, then if anybody needs this disc in their collection, let me

yea i did. i laughed a bit when i heard it - i too was prepared to hear A
Huge Ever..... but was let down=20
yuppers. burger king seems to like to rip off songs. normally their
commercials consist of some song with a fake looking burger on a black
background. one of the songs i remember from the summer was modern
english, "ill melt for you" - or was that last year *shrugs*
hehehe - last time i heard loving you on television was one of those
southpark episodes
oh yea, i HATE those new burger king fries.=20

Subject: (orb) Orb on "In to the Mix 2"; a non-Orb question
Someone asked about this over the weekend from the latest Juno records
mailing:
<< VARIOUS: In To The Mix 2 (incl. Crystal Method, Drum Club, 808 State,
etc; remixes by The Orb, Brian Eno, Underworld, etc.) (Hypnotic 2xCD:
CLP 194 [13.67]) SRD >>
The included track is: GONG "a php's advice" (Orb mix),
This cut was available on the Gong remix album of last year.
Other cuts seem to be mostly 'big name' artist remixes of Hypnotic bands.
non-Orb question ....
Any UK members familiar with Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire ?
I'm trying to find a contact (phone, fax or e-mail address) for Wonderboy
Records, who have a PO box 88 listed at the aformentioned locale. Any hints
to my e-mail would be highly appreciated.
Cheers, Scott

I'd much rather see them play the song in its original wording than
do what a lot of other advertisers do -- stick in their own words.
Nothing better to turn me off on a product than to hear their ditty
sung to a motown classic.
> oh yea, i HATE those new burger king fries.
There is a difference?
And now back to your regular orb programming...
