Hey, how does everyone like IGN's new look? Kinda plain, but sleeker and less
"goofy" to me. Those huge banners and links on the old site were real
annoying. But anyway, I really like it.
Anyhoo, what do you guys think of Cassamassina's comment that Dolphin will
absolutely slaughter the competition? I usually take something like that with
a grain of salt, but I mean, that's pretty bold. I can only think he either

Square will develop for it. Hmm ...

I doubt that it will slaughter the competition. But I believe that it will be
a force to be reckoned with. Nintendo will be, like Sega is now, coming off
of the rebound from their previous systems while Sony seems to be getting
lost in its hubris, by a little bit anyway. What did Matt see, and why is he
bound by some sort of confidentiality agreement? My only guess is that Next
Generation Magazine wants to print it first. Like what was done with the
Howard Lincoln interview.
He probably saw a tech demo. Or maybe Metroid 128? ;)

the best thing about IGN's new look is the return of Jay Boor to IGNPSX.

I have a couple of questions regarding Star Wars: Rogue Squadron.
1. If you use the code for the old Buick car, does the car take over a slot
in the hanger?
2. Does the car dissapear after you turn the game off?
I know that some of the codes dissapear after you shut down. The reason
that I ask is that I just beat the game all by my lonesome and I don't want
mess up any of the work that I have labored over.

I think it has something to do with some hardware that he saw, just from the
tone of what he is saying. Also today in N-Query he talked about not
worrying about the Dolphin stacking up to the PSX2, which suggests something
hardware related to me. Maybe confirmation of a 56k modem? a dedicated
network? Some sort of writability?

I wouldn't go that far, but there has certainly been a quality drop since
Peer left. BTW, Peer will be running the letters section on pocket ign (the
new gameboy and portable systems site). He also mentioned something about
working on another big project for IGN.

Agreed. I'm lucky to keep up a habit of visiting the site weekly now...I used
to go right after update every night. Peer just brought a lot to the site, and
when he left it seemed kinda less fun and the quality level wasn't as high.

Matts not that bad, he's actually a cool guy and I have agreed with him

pretty close to mine when I compare them to what I actually get. IGN64
while not as great as it used to be is still one of the best Nintendo

What Matt said on IGN really makes me wonder what the big "N" is up to.
Does anyone want to guess as to what it is? I personally have no idea,
it could be something like a developer has announced it will be making
games (square) for dolphin... or...? I don't know but I can't wait to
find out. Oh yeah, and some of you may think that Matt is a moron but
that has nothing to do with the fact that he does have information about

I see... you'd like my unopinionated opinion? Since Matt started there's
been too much sport, wrestling and Acclaim stuff, and not enough Japanese
stuff. Matt can't write as well as Peer which isn't too good considering
Peer is German. There have been less updates than before. Q&A is extremely
boring...
IGN64 may still have better connections than the other sites, but I'd rather
read something like Nintendojo because they do more with what they have.
Remember before Peer started at IGN64 and they were making bad jokes about
Kabuki Joe... it would seem the site as returned to its former glory.

Doing Q&A at IGN Pocket, and he's the boss of all the IGN sites.

He bought a new Volkswagen but he bought a new Beetle. A smarter man would
have gotten a Golf III. His taste in music. No hidden messages. He won't
print my letters.

But we have to wait until Next Generation Magazine prints it first. ;)

LARGEEYES,
Are you talking about the secret level where you use the code CHICKEN to
play or are you referring to the Imperial Construction Yards? If it's the
Imperial Construction Yards, all I can really say is good luck. It is
extremely difficult.
Here are some tips. As soon as you destroy the communication relays, go
right. Blow up things as you head to the AT-ST plant. After you destroy
that one, keep right and you will come to the AT-AT plant. Go up on the
ledge on the right and follow it all the way in. After you get in there, be
sure and blow up the Missle Launchers first or you're toast. I hope that
helps.
Dan

I guess you're right; however, I usually only go to the site for news
(their connections) rather than what they do with it. Thanks for
clairifying what you mean, I didn't quite understand what you meant
before.
