I think 90% of the people in both newsgroups are guilty of this. :-P
I don't think anybody has mentioned:
humming your favorite video game music for no reason. (I have imitated the
major battle music in FF7, the starting/ending music for Megaman 2, and
classic Zelda's overworld music (with updated renditions))
you immediately recognize what the abbreviations, FF7, FFT, RR4,M&M, and BoF
means. (and if you didn't think that M&M was a candy, you're hopeless ;-) )
you have put a voodoo curse on the NBC executives for canceling "Captain N:
the Game Master"
you have a .sig file with video game quotes....

Wish I had any clue of whats going on... Greg's email isn't working, and I can't kick
anyone because it says they're not list members. I am as helpless as you guys are.
I just wish there was someone to stop all this crap from coming onto the list...

This new round of problems finally convinced me to unsubscribe to the list.
If I
want to read the newsgroups I'll do it and not get it sent to me. Too bad
there
weren't more people like Trey to keep it interesting but the list had pretty
much been
pointless for awhile.

Most E-mail programs (AOL included) can block e-mails from any known e-mail
address. I Have compiled a list (probably not complete) of the newsgroup
cross posters for the list's real members. They are:
neo_zoqfotpik@hotmail.com
bombac1@aol.com
kwarlord@hotmail.com
aidan@webtech.force9.co.uk
golem@jumper.com
cwmiller@uiuc.edu
tigspa@ix.netcom.com
joe@rgponline.com
shaggy@computan.on.ca
Just block those e-mailers (and any I missed) and the problem should be
solved, or at least fixed for the moment.

No, that will not get you off the list. Havent you been reading your
emails? The admins said that they can't even kick ANYONE off the list
for ANYTHING. You can swear to high heaven but you will still not get
kicked off.

An easier and more complete way to block, if you have basically any
independant e-mail prog like Outlook Express is to go to "Inbox Assistant"
under Tools and add two new filters, one which takes all messages with
"alt.games.video.nintendo-64@list.deja.com" in the To field and one for
"alt.games.video.nintendo-64@list.deja.com", and have it move those messages
automatically to the Deleted Items folder, or check the box that deletes
them from the server. (BTW, this was suggested first by Wez, he should
really get the credit.)
OH, and a side note, if you do this, and you also have a filter that sends
all your messages from the list to a special separate folder, make sure that
the two otehr filters come BEFORE the seperating filter, or it won't work.
PS: Star Wars Ep 1 OWNZ!!!! SEE IT NOW.

No, they just can't kick off the people posting from the newsgroup, because
for some reason they are able to post to the list even though they are not
s*bscribers.

Okay, I guess my way is for those who use AOL on their crummy 486 Win 3.1
computers.

You two need to first establish a definition of cartoon...there are many
formats and styles to it as well. In my own opinion, I would say that
anime could sometimes be called cartoons, but not always. You could say
that anime is a subclass of cartoons or cartoons are a subclass of anime
and neither would be totally wrong.

Just because they don't make the top 20 or whatever, does not mean they
don't sell well. Also, RPGs don't come out with as great a frequency as
other games, so of course you aren't going to see them as often. Do you
think that Xenogears and FF7 did not sell well?

Many people have asked that very thing. You do realize that RPGs are a
growing genre right? Why do you think that Square is releasing FF3 and FF5
later this year in FF anthology? Do you think they are doing to lose
money? Think! You don't know what you are talking about.

It's not like Mac OS is anything to write home about.

lol. Now, that's just funny because they are no more dependable than a PC

And some want to buck the system just for the heck of it without really
thinking too hard.

I thought FF5 & FF6 were in the Anthology. Since I never got to play 2, 3, or
5 Final Fantasy 3 would be much more welcome than the oh so lame Final
Fantasy 6.

Ok...
1) The marathon runner can _not_ be beaten
2) There is no such thing as sexual chalk in Zelda
BTW, what the heck is the sexual chalk supposed to be / do anyway?
