Subject: [N64] Turok2/Goldeneye Cheats
All,
Like the first Turok you must do certain things within Turok2 to
gain the codes that you enter on the intro screen. You can find
them on web sites, but that kind of defeats the purpose dosn't
it? With Goldeneye you just done the levels on certain difficulty
settings in a certain amount of time and you got the cheats added
automatically to your cheat menu.
Well here are the games I've been playing over the past few days
- -
Zelda
Turok2
South Park
Fighters Cup
King Of The Hill
Top Gear Overdrive
WCW v's NWO
Out all the games above I probably would say that South Park is
the best for sheer unadultarated old-school 'Space Invaders' type
fun...it's a LOT better than it could have been judging by other
lame TV/Film tie-ins. Zelda totally fucking rocks technically,
but for me the gameplay seems to have lost something that made
Zelda3 on the SNES so good. Some of the magic seems to have
dissappeared...mibbe I'm just getting to old for 'cutesy'
RPG...oh well!

something like that. At least, I hope it was a typo. My English teacher

The grammar posts originated from a thread about the N64. The natural
progression of topic took us way off the topic of N64. But, it didn't start
out that way and certainly won't last much longer. First of all, your off
topic post was started on its own and therefore should be ended
immidiately. Plus, it's not very interesting since people on this list
don't really know each other all that much (generalization, I know) so if
Joe is Kentucky says he's feeling "all right," 99% of the list doesn't give

Hey I also had trouble getting used to bringing those things in, but it
helps alot if AFTER the view automatically changes to a "far" view of
youself and the walker, to change it to the "close-up-behind the skimmer
view".
If you're using Luke's Controls, then its just pushing the plus sign to
the right.
With that view you're able to stick closer to the walker and away from the
guys legs.

This past weekend I had 2 problems. The first 1 was that when I tried
to load my Turok2 game off of my 4x Interact memory card, it 'loaded'
but the only thing visible at all was Turoks hand. The background was
completely black. Thats the bad news. The good news is that, it forced
me to start the game over again, and this time I completed the 1st
level with 8 lives. The game I couldn't load, I had completed the first
level with only 1 life and had not really started the 2nd level yet. So
it turned out to be a good 'omen'. Needless to say, I saved the 8 lives
game twice on 2 different cards.
Also while playing Turok2 the game crashed. The screen looked like how the
old Atari 2600 screen looked when you pulled out the cartridge without
turning off the power first. I did have off the lid to the expansion pak,
and the console wasn't that far from the AC, which coincidentally was on.
So I don't think it was overheating, however it did happen after about
6-7 hours of continuous play.

I guess I'm one of the lucky ones. I have not yet had any problems with
Turok 2 or the expansion pak. I have however seen the framerate drops but
they didn't really affect gameplay greatly.

I can happily report no problems at all with my T2 copy--- however I
believe the game expieriences MAD-slowdown/framerate drops when there
are a great many Enemies on the screen.- -Especially durring the
Totems. -However , if I switch to --High-res Letter Box--- style,-this

Me too. I got my new copy of Turok 2 yesterday. I need to save one more kid on
the first level. DAMN! The hi-res graphics are awesome! I am so glad I got
this game. Plus, the enimies are smart! The little bastards are hide from me
and run away when they have about 1HP left. Anyhoo, the game is great, and I
recommend it to anyone.

Personaly, I didn't think it looked that great. I've read about a bit and
looked it over. The story seemed bland and the graphics looked second rate.
I've never found a good tank game, and this doesn't look like it will be the
one.

Yeah, that was one of their gripes and they said they thought that games

What is generally the difference between games
that are released almost every year? NFL QBC 98
& NFL QBC 99 or instance? I would assume that the
latter is better. Do they tweak the engines, and

I've finally made it to the Fire Temple with no help at all and while the
switch in the Fire Maze is ticking me off to every extent (it's hard to time
it right when the camera angle changes after you hit the switch) I'm sure I'll
figure it out. Now my question is, what do I do with the Blue Pocket Cucco?
I'm thinking this will end up being a big item exchange that spans about 15
characters ala Zelda 4, which would be cool, but I'd just like to know who
should I show the Blue Cucco to ?

There's some sleeping dude in the lost forest. You turn left immidiately
and he should be sleeping at the base of a tree trunk. And from there...
