Hey Brian,
Thank God someone agrees with me. I didn't mean I'd only buy Nintendo
developed games, Imeant it had to be for a Nintendo console. E-mail me
at thunderball6@juno.com, what's your e-mail address?

I would rather it not be under Microsoft than Nintendo. Microsoft, in my
opinion isn't very innovative. They have a nasty habit of copying someone
else's product and slightly improving on it in an effort to gain a hold on
the market. On the other hand, Nintendo has proven themselves to be very
innovative. They took the lead in the gaming industry starting with the NES
because they new how to make FUN games. That innovation continues with the
N64. It was designed with the games in mind. I don't care if the DREAMCAST
can push 1,000,000 times more polygons than the N64. Until Sega and
Microsoft care a little more about how fun their games are, I will continue
to stick with Nintendo. If you need an example look at the Sega Master
system vs. NES. The Sega machine was superior technically to the NES, but
the games drove me crazy. That is why Sega has failed in the console gaming
market and Microsoft is the same.

This has gone on long enough. The utter stupidity that some list members have
demonstrated is amazing. Fact: The DreamCast is a more powerful system than
the N64. Fact: The DreamCast is coming out this fall in Japan and next fall in
America.
I for one am sure that Nintendo is not going to release a new system to
counter the DreamCast. I know this because of what I've learned from studying
recent history, something that some people don't understand.
The Super NES was a powerful 16-Bit system. In 1993 Panasonic released the
3D0, a system whose specs blew the SNES out of the water, did Nintendo dump
the SNES in favor of a new system that would make the 3D0 seem like nothing?
No. In 1994 when Atari Corp. released the Jaguar, a system whose specs blew
the SNES out of the water, did Nintendo drop their immemsly popular SNES for a
system that's better than the Jaguar? No. The same thing is happening again
with the DreamCast. The N64 may not be as powerful as the DreamCast but it is
very popular and that my friends is a powerful statement indeed. Most powerful
doesn't always equate to most popular and I believe that the N64 has at least
4 to 5 years left in her.

I'd say Toys R Us in 1985 would be your best bet. Actually find one of those

Is that next generation (not the mag) console & software sales or is that

Are you aware of the fact that many of us own more than one console? While
you're stuck with just the N64 right now I can choose from the PlayStation,
Saturn, N64, Game Boy, Virtual Boy, Super NES, Nomad, NES, Atari 1200XL, and
Jaguar. I'm sticking with Nintendo, I love their products, but that doesn't
mean I'm not only using Nintendo, that'd be a downright silly.

Trey,
These are the next generation consoles (don't ask me what the "other"
catagory is for. I also recall reading the sales on everything though.
Nintendo was far ahead of Sony because of it's multiple products. I'll
try to find the mag I saw the graph with the total sales in. If I do,
I'll post them in an e-mail.

Whoops, I meant Wipeout64.
Anyways, I was at www.ebworld.com and found that out already.
November 16, 1998.
That is not too bad.
I was downloading a ton of movies from it and it looks great.
I remember having a demo to Wipeout XL on the PC, but that was before I had
a real 3d accellerator.
I had the Matrox Mystique then.
Now I have a Voodoo2 card. (Only one, but it is the 16MB Canopus Pure3d II.)
I remember it being hard to control, but I don't know if that was due to my
machine or the game itself.

blah
yes
i was looking at games yesterday, and i think that there are some more to
look forward to
but don't just list 30 games and ask if they have slipped my mind
quake2 can never look anything like the pc
and multiplayer will never be as good
c the contra adventure???
have you read any reviews on it?
tomb raider II?
same thing there
and it is not caled crash 3
it is crash bandicoot warped
that looks nice
but this is it
there are no large projects
most of this is coming out for this christmas season
what else is coming up
on the n64 we know of over 100 games in development
i don't know 100 games that are planned for release on the psx in 99 and
beyond
square, capcom, konami
those are the only games now to really look forward to
ones that everyone has to have

Subject: Re: [N64] DISAPPOINTED
well, i never actually played jet moto and cool borders
i played their demos to their sequels
my friend owns gran turismo
he brought it over right after i called him in excitement last week that i
bought my psx
at that time i havent' even played ff7, or my demos
so when i was watching the fmv intro, i was thinking that this fmv was just
a capture of the real game or something, because it could look like that
but when the game started i realized that those graphics were still along
the lines of some of the worse n64 racers
i havent' played nfsIII on the psx, but it just can't compare to the pc
version, no matter how good it is
well, in sonys defense, i will say that turismo is a fun game, and they
pushed the graphics to the limit
but it is the limit
so i don't know how i can look forward to any other psx racers
