Yeah, but do you buy it solely for the letters section? You care about other
parts of the magazine other than the letters, right?

<<how about INTELLIGENT PEOPLE??? I LOVE PSM's letter section, every month
they
discuss INTELLIGENT subjects, hell... most of the letters sent in are by
people in their 20s, unlike Gamepro... they get letters from 7 year olds
asking for a stupid pic of LAra Croft. Letter section matters to me, PSM is
the best gaming mag available because eveything is PERFECT. They have great
reviews, previews, they tell funny jokes, they have GREAT art, etc.>>

Yeah. What you said was right. At one time, I really loved MKombat. In
fact, I bought the N64 just so I could play the game but it turned out
that the game really sucks. Good thing I only rented it. Since then, I
though the series was kind of stupid. MK Trilogy was so cheap in
everything that it just pisses you off just to play it. Then there was MK
mythologies. Very stupid. Especially in control. I haven't played MK4 on
the N64 before but I have on my PC. I only borrowed the game just for a
little entertainment. After a day, I deleted it. It was really boring.

Yeah, I actually do agree with that. I didn't mean to say this was awful,
just Ridge Racer. I did like this game, rented the system and played it. It
was fun, but didn't make me want to run out and get the system.

Answer a question for me, what game do you enjoy more: Tekken 3 or Virtua
Fighter 3? I know a lot of people out there think that Tekken 3 is a better
game. You know what? Tekken is powered by a PSX with more RAM. VF3 is on
the mac daddy of arcade hardware right now. Just becuause something isn't
as powerful doesn't mean it isn't as fun.

That's really not fair to say that about the Dreamcast. We hardly know
anything about it except it's very powreful. It could very well be launched
w/ a 3D platformer better then Banjo, a 1st person shooter better then
GE/PD, and an RPG better then FF8. That's not too bad. Oh, btw, those games

Where did you get the idea Square was publishing? I said better then FF8,
not it is FF8. The Seventh Cross is made by NEC and it sounds pretty cool.
You character evolves during the game and you chose how it evolves. There
are over 810,000 different animals you can attack and then evolve with.
BTW, why did you think Square was devoloping when I said FF8 but you didn't
think Rare when I said GE and BK?

Back in the day, the NES days, I thought that way too. But then I bought a

a Game Boy. Eventually, I sold the Game Gear and Genisis for money to buy an

launch, got it on the 12th, I think. Then I got my N64, and I am happy.

This statement is pure crap. The N64 WILL compete against the DreamCast, no
doubt about it. Unless every N64 owner throws away their N64 the day the

the DreamCast will be technologically superior, but the N64's userbase will
support it against the DreamCast.

Castle Vania is a good side scroller... but then again, N64 wasn't made for
side scrollers.. best puzzle game, well its a toss up on what kinda puzzle
games u like, Tetrisphere vrs. Puzzle Fighter... best racing game, Gran

game i guess depends on what your looking for in a racing game, realizm or
arcadeism... Top Gear Overdrive looks like it will have mainly the best cars
of Gran Tourismo in it, with a higher framerate and graphics that blow the
Gran outta the water... but u must remember, what are the two top types of

Hmm.. well, this is arguable, but I'd say the N64 has the best sports game,
in ISS 64, the best 3D platformer, in Banjo-Kazooie, and the best
First-Person shooter, in Goldeneye. Soon, the N64 will have the best RPG,
in Zelda.. so I think they're pretty even, in terms of good games, which is
a little bit sad, considering how the N64 has like 80 games out, and the PSX

I mean that you'll see less PlayStation games after X-Mas of 1999 than we're
seeing now. Those games that will be made will probably be some of the best
PlayStation games ever. When the DreamCast comes out I'm sure companies will
still develop PSX games. All I'm saying is that when the DreamCast comes out
the PlayStation will probably step out of the limelight as Number 1 console.

be able to compete with Dreamcast.
Whatever dude. Before the N64 came out people said the PlayStation could not
compete with the N64, their defense was "look at the stats, the N64 is 64-Bit
and the PlayStation is 32-Bit". Before the Super FamiCom came out people said
the PC Engine could not compete with the Super FamiCom, their defense was
"look at the stats, the Super FamiCom is 16-Bit and the PC Engine is 8-Bit".
You're forgetting that Nintendo has experience in programming the N64 whereas
Sega doesn't with the DreamCast, and by the time the DreamCast comes out in
1999 in America the N64 will be at the top of its game. While it's true the
N64 doesn't seem to have a prayer in Japan it still has a fighting chance in
America.

What about Konami, Electronic Arts, Whoopie Camp (gotta love Tomba!), Single
Trac, and Activision? There are probably many others as well.

You'll find that every system throughout history has its share of good and poo
games.

You forgot a racing game as choppy as Top Gear Rally, an RPG as lame as Quest
64, a fighting game as boring as Fighters Desitny, a horror game as .. oh
wait, there are no horror games on the N64. I'm not going to compare systems
cos I got in a mess of stuff before so all I say is I pity you because you're
missing out on a lot of fun.

Do you know that for certain? I thought Square's policy was to publish on the
system best suited for their needs. If the DreamCast gets a big userbase I
wouldn't be surprised if Final Fantasy 9 was a DreamCast game. As for Sonic I
hope it's 2-D. Has anybody seen shots of D2? That ought to give Perfect Dark a
run for its money.

Neither was the PlayStation you fool. Just like the N64, the PlayStation
doesn't have a 2-D graphics processor.

Does it have 166 cars? I think not. Is Gran Turismo's 30 fps to slow for you?
The shots I've seen of TGO look just a tad bit sharper than F-Zero X, the cars
look like they're made of plastic.

So all those RPGs and Racing games I've bought really don't exist?

I agree that the N64 rules when it comes to 1st person shooters and 3-D
platformers.

You proabaly don't know this, but for every person that likes platformers
you'll probably find someone who hates platformers and loves sports games.
