<<Hot swampping is pulling out the cartridge while the power is still on. On the NES and the SNES, the system would freeze. The N64 hardware is designed for
hot swapping however...>>
Bullsh*t. No cartridge system can hot swap. You take a game out with the power on, and stick another one in, and the second cart won't be read until the power is truned off again. You run a website, Dex? How can you be so misinformed?

I got this information indirectly, but its legitament enough. My sister's
boyfriend goes to law school. In there, he met a person named Arron Perry,
who is the son of someone who works at http://www.ps2.ign.com . This
persons dad recently got a chance to interview the developers of Teken Tag
Tournment, and they told him about this little flaw in detail. The ada
then told his son, who knows my sis's boyfriend is interested in video
games, so the Arron told him, and he told me. I am sure the story could
have got mixed uo a little going from one person to another, but I am sure
it is pretty accurate. If you go to ps2.ign.com, you will see that they do
not have this interview posted. That is because they don't want ps2 fans to
worry. That is my source, and it is a REAL source!

You know what it sounds like to me is the movie Spaceballs when Helmet is telling Lonestar about how they are related. Seriously, though, this information is probably very distorted but the problem does sort of make sense. I think personally that the shortage issue is what the bigger problem is.
