  104. 9th, advertised everywhere .. but it's not anywhere in the video stores ...

  235. off onto a person (m?f?) and pricks his dick as he's about to cum so blood
  236. and cum sprays all over the persons face. This is not some underground
  237. collection; it is a documentary which has won awards (such as the chicago
  238. underground film festival '96). I don't think it's any more legal than,
  239. say, Guinea Pig, esp. since everything on here is real.

  256. The Grim Reaper. Uncut.

  258. Angel Guts: Red Lightning - When a cameraman asks a female magazine
  259. designer to assist him in shooting a brutal rape scene, some better
  260. forgoten memories surface, and strange things start to happen to her.

  266. cartoons put together by some anarchist. 1) is Winnie the Pooh footage

  268. noise and Peanuts video. 3) The peanuts gang try to kill Charlie Brown; he
  269. later flips out and gets his revenge.

  272. This 78 min film consists of two extended sequences, one of a godlike
  273. creature giving birth to mankind, another where a solitary man is tortured
  274. by 2 figures in a pit. Utterly unique and not for the squeamish.

  276. Better Tomorrow 1-3 - John Woo and Chow Yun Fat team up in Tarantino's
  277. favorite HK action films. Woo didn't direct the third but Fat is in this

  309. made. This Ruggero Deodato film has no

  315. Cat O' Nine Tales - Dario Argento's first film; out of print. Early film
  316. written and directed by Dario Argento that is characteristically stylish
  317. and gory. A reporter is in pursuit of a mad slasher and is aided by a
  318. blind ex-reporter.

  320. Charles Manson: Superstar - recent documentary revolving around a recent
  321. interview with the man in prison.

  505. future generations to enjoy. It is loosely based on a play written by one of
  506.  Jodorowsky's performance-art collaborators. In Spanish with English
  507. subtitles.

  902. Shocking Africa/Shocking Asia 1,2,3 - Incredibly twisted and graphic and
  903. gory all purprtedly real scenes of what goes on in these mysterious
  904. places. Sex change scenes, jungle circumscions and corpse drug smuggling

  907. Mondo Cane 1,2/Mondo Violence/Mondo Magic - the original Mondo films shy
  908. away from actual "death scenes" but fill you up with scenes of strangeness
  909. and curiosity, which tend to be much interesting (and much clearer!).

  911. Sick: The Life and Death of Bob Flanagan, Supermasochist - The title says
  912. it all. Bod has MS or Parkinson's or something and deals with his pain by
  913. abusing his body. Despite all the eww gross scenes in this movie, I

  915. entire screen, take a bathroom break until you hear your brother scream
  916. TWICE.

  974. Tokyo Decadence - Japanes pink film (ie - rape, kinky sex and violence)
  975. that somehow found an American audience. Sleazy hooker meets a dominatrix
  976. who humiliates and beats her into a better life.

  978. In The Realm Of The Senses/ In the Realm Of Passion - Late 70's Japanese
  979. pink films. The first one has a kinky married couple who can't control how
  980. far they take their sex life and it winds up in murder and sexual
  981. mutilation. Based on actual events! Passion is about a woman who kills her
  982. husband to be with her kinky lover and is haunted by his ghost.

  984. Totally Fucked Up/Doom Generation/Nowhere/Living End/Splendour - Greg
  985. Araki's Teen Trilogy and his other two films. If you are looking for Gen X
  986. movies full of sex and gore and violence with a gay nineties valley
  987. sensibility, these are it. TFU is about a group of gay friends who make a
  988. suicide pact to die if they can't find true love. DG is usually found in
  989. the "Blockbuster Version" with 25%!!! of its running time missing. It is
  990. about two guys and a girl who go on a cross counrty fucking/crime spree.
  991. Nowhere is more plotless - group of friends, drugs, parties, death,
  992. violence, and an alien that is abducting and probing everyone. Living End
  993. is the most depressing and most serious. Two gay men have HIV and go on a
  994. road trip to commit murders and suicide. Splendour is a complete 180.
  995. While it still has 3somes, sex, violence and drugs, it's really a
  996. slapstick comedy-homage to Buster Keaton-ish films. But if you liked the
  997. other four you'll like this one. My advice - strt with DG if you want
  998. straight up violence, sex, and Rose McGowans boobs. Start with LEnd if you
  999. want really depressing drama, but without losing the violence or sex.

  1001. Traces Of Death 1,2,3 - the new series of death home movies. All
  1002. completely real, all never before seen, and you get a cheesy death metal
  1003. soundtrack for 2&3. But if you like real death, this is your shit.

  1006. Franco's ultimate film. Vampires. Lesbians. Lesbian vampires. Vampoires

  1023. Night Of The Living Dead Workprint - This is the 1990's theatrical version
  1024. we are talking about. Directed by goremiester Tom Savini, written buy
  1025. George Romero, this is the workprint with more gore and different story
  1026. twists, and mucho extra footage

  1028. War Room - documentary of behind the scenes Clinton's campaign for the
  1029. 1992 presidency. VERY revealing.
  1030.  
  1031. Wild Style - original b-boy movie. If you like rap, get this film and
  1032. learn about it's roots. If you don't, um, well, you'll hate me if I sell
  1033. it to you so don't cuz it's ALL rap.

  1035. Zombie - aka Zombie 2 cuz Dawn Of The Dead was called Zombie in Europ cuz
  1036. they had Dario Argento's cut (which is for sale by the way). Anyways, this
  1037. Zombie is by Lucio Fulci and is about a group of scientists on an island
  1038. who meet zombies. Features very very graphic plank of wood through the eye
  1039. scene. Ends with the unforgettable ZombiesStreamingIntoManhattanOverThe  
  1040. BridgeScene. And the scene where a zombie fights a shark!
  1041.  
  1042. and that's it. My eyes and back hurt and I have to piss. I hope you like
  1043. thousands of these so I can triple my collection and/or make some money.

  1085. double casette pack that was banned in Canada. One has concert footage and
  1086. one has videos including "Sin", "Gave Up" with Marilyn Manson, and the
  1087. uncut "Closer". Does not include the "Broken" serial killer stuff; that is
  1088. available on "Complete NIN Vids". I also have various NIN interviews,
  1089. concerts, and the same stuff for fellow Nothing employees Prick, Meat Beat
  1090. manifesto and, of course, Marilyn Manson.

  1092. Bring Me The Head Of Geraldo Rivera - short film about, um, the head of
  1093. Geraldo Rivera. Funny funny funny.

  1095. New York Underground Film Festival Year One/ Year Two - collection of
  1096. award winning short films including the infamous porn shot with an infared
  1097. camera. "Underground" defines these shorts to a T.
  1098.  
  1099. Total Movie DVDs - These come out with the magazine once every 2 months.
  1100. As of Jan 31,2000, there are 3 available. Filled with trailers of movies
  1101. that haven't hit the big screen yet, music videos, and DVD extras. Most
  1102. importantly, though, is the mass of short films. The Second Comeback is
  1103. about Jesus' return to Hollywood and his need to get a press agent and
  1104. launch a publicity campaign. With or without commentary. Troops is the
  1105. merger of Star Wars and Cops, heartily endorsed by George Lucas and god
  1106. damn funny. W or w/o com. Also, there's The Danciong Cow, Blow Me Up Tom,
  1107. The Best Man, The Freindly Cowboy, Battle Of The Sexes, and Rock N Roll
  1108. Frankenstien, but I haven't seen these yet. I will report on them when I
  1109. do.

  1127. First off, I have only included movies I have seen so far.  This means that
  1128. I have not included movies that I am sure I will love, such as Traffic, and
  1129. also means I did have to struggle to fill the list.  Additionally, one of
  1130. my favourites from this year was Deterrence (would have made the top 5),
  1131. but according to the copyright, this movie was actually released in 1999.
  1132. Only problem is, it played in maybe three theatres, so I doubt anyone
  1133. actually saw it in 1999.
  1134.  
  1135. 10 Me Myself I - watching it as I write this.  Not as good as I hoped, but
  1136. you gotta have an Australian film on the list, and you could do much much
  1137. worse.  Also, note this movie is NOT Me Myself and Irene, and for that we
  1138. should be eternally grateful:-)  Additionally, Hollywood has shown their
  1139. most amazing speed ever in taking a great Australian film, and ripping it
  1140. off.  (Family Man [?], the Nic Cage film)
  1141.  
  1142. 9 X-Men - one of the best superhero films in a long time, perhaps since the
  1143. first Batman.  I did mention that it was a struggle to find ten good 2000
  1144. films that I had actually seen:-)
  1145.  
  1146. 8 The Whole Nine Yards - Hey, I thought it was funny, and it did rather
  1147. well at the box office.  Imagine Grosse Point Blank meets Analyse This.

  1149. 7 Almost Famous - I almost liked this:-)  Not nearly as good as I was led
  1150. to believe, and I don't think it deserved the Golden Globes.  Still,
  1151. difficult to fight Cameron Crowe, and I did enjoy it.

  1153. 6 Dancer in the Dark - this is NOT a musical.  It is rather a very sad
  1154. film, very depressing.  I acutally did not "enjoy" the film, but feel I am
  1155. a better person for having seen it, and do not regret the time I put into
  1156. watching it.

  1158. 5 Chicken Run - Nick Park does The Great Escape.
  1159.  
  1160. 4 High Fidelity - Great story, great soundtrack, and John Cusack.  Besides,
  1161. they made lists like this cool again.

  1163. 3 Frequency - looked really really hokey in the ads, but this story worked.
  1164.  Great family film, great sci-fi film, great action/adventure, just great
  1165. all around.

  1167. 2 The Contender - The ending made this movie, made it all the more satisfying
  1168.  
  1169. and finally:

  1171. Wonder Boys - How on earth can the Hollywood Foreign Press consider this a
  1172. drama??  And how on earth could they give either Gladiator or Almost Famous
  1173. Golden Globes over this??  I thought this film was equal to American Beauty
  1174. (in my opinion, one of the few times the Academy got it right) until about
  1175. halfway thru.  Then I thought this film blew American Beauty away.  It
  1176. would be a crime if any other film took home the Oscar.  I seriously think
  1177. this film not only ends up in my all time top 10, it finishes rather high
  1178. up.  I have seen it twice, and can't wait to see it again.  As for Marc,
  1179. who asked, it was pulled from video in January because of the Golden Globe
  1180. nomination (amongst other reasons), and is now rescheduled for 13 March.
  1181. And this is subject to change, I am sure, depending on what the Academy does.

  1183. As for Gladiator, What Lies Beneath (I was VERY disappointed in the
  1184. ending), and all the other favourites, sorry, but they just didn't cut it
  1185. for me.
