Does anybody know of a site which has upcoming cinema and video releases not only for America, but for AUSTRALIA as well? I have been looking around but alll I can find is the release dates for American cinemas and video stores. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I knew of Antz, but I didn't really count it. But well I should've been
checking the imdb and remembered a couple of the others. But, since Scenes
from a Mall and Antz are the only ones I've seen, that tells you how much I
really know about Allen's career. But, you list 5 movies out of something
like 50 that he's been in, so 5 out of 50 he has more than a bit part? I
couldn't think of those aside from Antz so good recall, Paul. ;-)
But, as a director who acts in comparison with an actor who directs, I think
what you are talking about can be a valid point with Allen, at least if we
are thinking about how an "actor" appears when in a movie he directs
himself, and you could use Allen and maybe Spike Lee to think of how a
director who maybe "acts" will work in his own movie in comparison to an
actor, such as Eastwood, who directs himself.

PSHAWWWW. HISSSS. Sacrilege!!! ;-)
Braveheart was wholeheartedly deserving of its award! Who would you rather
have won? Tim Robbins? Noonan and his talking pig (as opposed to a dancing
bear! ha!)? Figgis? Ron Howard?
I do think Howard should've been nominated for Best Director, but I think
Gibson's award was fully deserved.

I had forgotten that begnini also fit in that category and searched out the
answer and realized then that begnini fit, too. And, as Rico says, it was
Laurence Olivier who directed himself in Hamlet back in 40 or 44... Was that
the answer Coca Cola slideshow gave? I suppose eh...

Peter,
try Filmink Online (http://www.filmink-online.com), which has a list
of all upcoming Australian release dates, as well as reviews,
interviews and other assorted guff. It's also hooked up to Hollywood
Bitchslap (http://hollywoodbitchslap.com) for those more interested
in US releases.

Can someone tell me, is Ashley Judd going to play the lead in the sequel to Basic Instinct? I heard it a while ago, but is it still on the cards? Cheers
Pete

Has anyone heard anything about the new Mission Impossible Sequel? I'm
curious to know whether it will be as good as the first one, or a flop like
Apparently it's awesome, as most John Woo films are. Despite the amount of hype about it and the fact that most sequels struggle both at the box-office and in terms of reviews, this one looks the goods. Even if it is crap, it will earn heaps of cash merely because of the reputation (like Scream 3).

I'm predicting it will be better than the original, simply because of the John
Woo factor. Unfortunately, it looks like they haven't corrected the primary
flaw of the first film, in that it seems to focus in on Ethan Hunt rather than
a well-balanced team. At least Ving Rhames is back.

Stephanie,
I believe it's been directed or produced by John Woo (Replacement
Killers, Face/Off, misc. hundreds of other chinese action adventure
movie hits), so... I would imagine that the action portion of the movie
will be quite good. However, the story will be the true test!
