I have 2 quite old remixes by FSOL from 1992 for the UK act Nomad.
I bought a whole bunch of 1991-1992 CD singles for $10 recently and
I only found out I had these remixes after I gave each single a listen and
took the time to look at the credits.
5:31 Nomad - Your Love Is Lifting Me (Smart Systems Mix)
5:05 Nomad - Your Love Is Lifting Me (Deep Field Mix)
The Smart Systems Mix is a banging techno version, the Deep Field Mix is
a bit softer.
The other stuff is just regular album tracks on compilations:
=============================================
- - David Sylvain & Robert Fripp - Darshana (Reconstructed by FSOL)
(On Virgin's "A Brief History Of Ambient vol. 3")
- - Amorphous Androgynous - A Study Og Six Guitars
(On Virgin's "A Brief History Of Ambient vol. 3")
- - FSOL - Cascade parts 2 & 3
(On Virgin's "A Brief History Of Ambient vol. 3")
- - Amorphous Androgynous - Mountain Goat
(On Virgin's "A Brief History Of Ambient vol. 1")
- - FSOL - Snake Hips
(On Virgin's Future: A Journey Through The Electronic Underground)
- - FSOL - Smokin' Japanese Babe
(On Virgin's Future: A Journey Through The Electronic Underground)
- - Humanoid - Stakker Humanoid
(Arcade's The History Of House & Turn Up The Bass vol. 2)
Actually, the FSOL tracks on "A Brief History Of Ambient 3" are the
tracks that got me hooked on FSOL. I only have part 1 & 3, I've searched
for the other parts, but they seem impossible to find (at an affordable
price)
>WHE is _great_, i think (parts 1-5, i mean), but there's very little
>they've done i haven't liked...
I thought WHE was only 1 part with remixes. Is there a "single" like Cascade
and My Kingdom of this? I'll have to look into that :)
By the way, is there a decent discography of FSOL and related material?

Subject: (mobility) label woes
if you think Moby has had it rough with V2, have you
heard about what Curve are going through? They
finished their new album a long time ago, and not only
are Universal not releasing it, they dropped them from
the label, and aren't even giving them the rights to
their own music back so they can release it on an
indie! wtf!!!!!!!!!!!!
Major labels deserve CHINESE TORTURE (haha get it
curve fans? ;)
