I agree. Carson did miss the point of the "southside" video , but when
doesnt Carson miss the point ofANY aspect of music, be it the fashion , the
music scene , the artist or the statement being made. Its not his fault , i
really do believe Carson is an intellegent human because i heard his radio
shows alittle bit on KROQ and he knows someof his stuff . MTV made carson
this way , but he takes it too far himself to. Anyhow , back to MOBY related
chat. I have just made a revelation that may intrest a few: THE GUITAR IS NOT
AN IBANEZ ! i was staring at the label on the headstock and its looks like
its a Rockafile guitar. I dont understand why Moby would play a line like
that , but cheap guitars are sometimes the best sounding. I know i play
guitar, but it seems like perfect "mobyism"..to play a piece of sh...and make
it sound like the sh... anyhow , talk later

Hey, kids. It's not a bad idea for parents to give thier children a sort of
"diving board" from which to explore religion or, I'd rather say,
spirituality. Spirituality is different from religion in that it comes from
your own heart and soul and your own experiences of "God". I find that the
search within yourself will yeild all you need to know. Religion is a way
of practice, a guideline of worship. I do most of my worship in the forest,
on the beach or even on city streets as I find reminders of my spirituality.
Sometimes, dance is worship for me. When I'm right with God I know it. I
ask lots of questions and the answers come back real weird sometimes but I
open my heart and they're there. Age gives us this wisdom, I think. So
keep searching and make sure you listen. Anne

I was raised, baptised, confirmed, yadda yadda as a Catholic. Put through
religious education until 8th grade. The only reasons my mother gave me
were that it was "the right thing to do" and "it's good for you" Which only
led to a rebellion by me at first, but then I just realized that while it
didn't hurt me to be put through this stuff, it obviously wasn't fair
because I was never given the choice to be religious. Probably one of the
key reasons for why I'm not now. I don't think anyone has the right to make
others believe in what they believe in, or force their religion down
someone's throat.
Ahem, just a tangent there. Sorry.
Anyway, religion is such an interesting subject. It's just such a hard
thing to discuss. I have to say though, the best ideas I've heard regarding
the subject are Moby's. He's just an amazing guy, and (in my book) he seems
to be right on the money almost always.
Eric the Red sounds kind of like a name for a God. Do you think I could
start a church dedicated to worshipping you?
;o)
