Hey gang.
My infrequent posting is finally here :) I like the idea of the
t-shirts.. but who'd make them? I mean if we all make our own.. things may
work out.. and then again not all of us are skilled enough :(
Next up on the agenda.. the ftp site.. I gotta admit.. I am
surprised my little folder idea is slowly working... the site doesn't have
download resume.. which sucks... I LOVE!!! The new South Side track with
Gwen! Ownz the original by far... and that was one of my fave tracks! Back
to the site.. it'd be cool if more stuff could be ploppped up there and
perhaps we find a more permanent home? I mean it's beginning nicely... let's
keep it going people! Keep the love alive! :)
Final set.. for all of you who have the godlike chance of meeting
Moby [Lucky bastards!] I was wondering if perchance you could ask a question
for me. I am curious if Moby's heard of Underworld, if so, Does he have a
fave track.. and the final thing.. would he ever consider doing a remix for
them? [That'd totally own!] Always wished for that last part to become
reality.... SOOOOOO BAD!
That's all for now kids! KEEP THE SPIRIT ALIVE!
Sincerely,
K. Flewin

Sorry the ftp site sucks...
but
I randomly just picked a fast anonymous site
and it doesn't suck for the fact that the sysop lets us u'l mp3 files and
waste his/her bandwidth. I must of first u/l to that site 4 or 5 months
ago. So the uptime alone makes the site rule.
I started it just as dump site for the Live in obermann show, if anyone
could provide a private site that is faster, then go for it.

Still working on that! If everything goes right, I will soon have 4+
gigabyte
available for you guys to upload your rare Moby stuff, I can't promise it
will be a very fast server (I'm going to make one of a "leftover" PC :)
but your uploaded data will be well kept...
I'll let y'all know when it's up.

moby last night in worcester. right up front. long set. good mix of
dance, rock and jam. handful of randomness-including moby playing an
extended guitar jam that he was really getting into.

Got a nice little Moby collectors item in the mail today!
The Brotherhood - Time's Up (White Label Promo)
Since it's a UK/German white label promo there are no tracklisting,
catalog number or picture sleeve. Just the record in a plastic padded
inner sleeve with a promo sheet taped to it. The promo sheet says:
"Jared Hoffman and Dave Brubaker's New York based dance label "Instinct"
promote the for his vividness highly distinguished artist DJ Moby, who
recently
impressed his audience at Berlin's 'Quartier' and 'Ufo' clubs.
The 12" "Time's Up" by Moby's "The Brotherhood" out now is a dance blues in
a
Sly & Robbie groove under influence of House arrangements. Various
minimalistic
synth effects and the voice of Jimmy Mack create the crossover atmosphere of
a
kind of haunted "sad song" and an optimistically humming and buzzing 'Keep
on
going' mood. There are two more vocal mixes and bonus beats on the A-Side
and
a radio edit. a Dust Instrumental and an acapella on the flip side. "You
must move,
nice and smooth : Time's Up."
(the promo sheet also has the above text in German)
Hey Steve, you're not the only one with Time's Up any more :) but I wish I
could find
the one you have with the nice picture sleeve...

I was also thinking about making my own tee-shirt but we might run into some
copywrite legal problems. I also thought about priting some pictures from
the website, having them laminated and sewing them on tees, sweats, whatever
but again, copywrite laws. I wonder if Moby reads this list? I also
pondered "What does Moby listen to?" I'll bet its stuff we wouldn't know at
all. Anne

I am sure that there has got to be someone on this list that has some
artistic ability that could maybe come up with a MOBILITY logo or something
of this sort. Or maybe have people submit MOBILITY logos that they design
and have a vote on them and the one that the most people like be the logo to
have printed on shirt or tags or whatever. Jeeze talk about a run-on
sentence. Anyway, I think that would be the easiest way, if you are worried
about copyright issues. Or you all could think I am an idiot and keep my
ideas to myself. Anyway, I just had to put my two cents in.

I don't think it will violate anything... if you're just making something=
