Wow!
I love this version. Gwen's voice fits really well.
Now, here is my question: Did he ask Gwen to sing on
this just so he can get her into his bedroom (seeing
his studio is in his bedroom). :-)
Just joking.
Cheers!

I agree that this version is great. This is my fav. song off of Play, so
I'm happy to hear it treated nicely :)
BTW, where can I get an mp3 or at least a hearing of Honey with Kelis?

They did have the Honey remix at www.moby-online.com Not sure if it is still
there though. Personally I thought it was no good.

You and I are nearly neighbors. I live in Little Rock, AR. I
went to Dallas to see moby last august at the Lizard Lounge.
Great show.
KDGE in Dallas isn't so bad. Could be worse anyway. We've
got Lick 106.3 FM in Little Rock. Kind of the same format. I
think they're gonna play the new Moby "Southside" starting
this week. Either way, they support local bands by putting
them in rotation every so often. Which is a pleasant switch
from most markets.
Anyway, just wanted to say hi since you live down the road.
Hi.

Ellen....I will be there with bells on...to say the least! I have a feeling
that the acoustics are going ot suck but I've seen Moby in a gym before, it
will work. I'm looking forward to an amazing show.
All you NYC area Moby fans should come upstate to see a great show in Albany
on Fri 10/27 because I'm sure it will not sell out.
Caleb!

Subject: (mobility) Moby and Gwen mentioned in new Rolling Stone
I don't know if this has been reported yet, and if it has, forgive me.
Moby and Gewn are mentioned in the new Rolling stone. It's issue #853,
November 9. Al Gore is on the cover. It's talking about Gwen and Moby
dueting. It has a picture of the two of them from the video as well.
Page 27.
Nothing but a Gwen (and Moby) Thang by Austin Scaggs.
No Doubt fan Moby ("I like their ballads") caught Gwen Stefani
off-guard when he asked the singer to add vocals to "Southside," a track
he'd concocted for last year's Play. "I didn't think he knew who I was,"
says Stefani. "It was really exciting." Thus, she was "heartbroken" when
her rendition didn't make Play's final cut. But all's well that ends
well. Moby has added Stefani's vocals to a remix being released in
November, and the duo reconvened in L.A. to shoot a video. In it, Moby
and Stefani play earnest crooners making a drab, VH1-esque clip who -
when the director yells "Cut" - transform into new-jack divas, turning
hip-hop's Bentleys-'n'-bitches cliches on their heads. "We stop
shooting, and someone puts a big fur coat on me," Moby sas. "That's how
my real life is."

Although I think Paul Oakenfield is a talented DJ, I have this huge grudge
against him. I was at a Chem Bros. show one night last year in Hammerstien
(NYC) and Paul Oakenfield opened for them. P.O. went on about 9:00 or so.
He played about a 2 1/2 hour set and he was pretty good, but the music he
played became utterly repetetive. Trance over and over and over and over
again. I eventually got sick of it and really wanted the chem bros. to come
on. At about 12:00, the chem bros. finally came on, but unfortunately I had
to make the 1:00 train (last one that night in the city) becuase i dont live
there and i needed to make it home the next day for work. I was so pissed i
only got to see the chem bros for like 30 min cause stupid friggin paul
oakenfield played for 2 1/2 hrs. Tell me what you guys thought of my

I think you're going to get alot of shit for posting
that, something not moby related to the list... just
to warn you.
How do you know it was Paul's fault he was on for that
long? Did he have a longer set than the Chem. Bros.?
Maybe they, chem. bros., like him so much that they
wanted to get him some recognition. (though alot of
people know him, maybe they didn't think it was
enough.) Maybe one of the other two or both were off
doing something and weren't back in time. I don't want
a reply to these, I don't see how it was specifically
paul's fault so these are to ponder. Really, you don't
know where the blame should go ( I don't see why it
should be thrown,) so you shouldn't hold a grudge
against Paul
I don't think there was much you could do, unless you
could've arranged a ride, so there's no room to bitch.
