  330. Columbus show was pretty cool. Other than the standard set, he performed a
  331. full version of "New Dawn Fades" which really kicked ass. I've been waiting
  332. to see Moby rock out on a full track at least once and last night was my
  333. chance.

  335. Also hilarious was the second encore when the drummer Scott got out from
  336. behind the set to sing vocals on a cover of Def Leppards "Rock Of Ages". It
  337. was hilarious and you could see how much fun they were having with it on
  338. stage. Moby even broke a string on his guitar during it he said. 
  339.  
  340. So I've seen the first Chicago show, last nights Columbus show. Now it's
  341. back home tomorrow night for the Detroit concert (can't wait) and then
  342. closing it out Saturday night in Toronto. My week of following Moby around
  343. is halfway done but it's been a blast. 
  344. You can say "why follow around the same show night after night?". Well,
  345. it's because I can't think of another artist I'd rather see in concert
  346. right now. I have a ball at Moby's concerts, and I like doing things that I
  347. enjoy. You only live once dammit :) 
  348.  
  349. I watched the Columbus show from behind the sound board and it was a great
  350. chance to watch the concert from a great vantage point and get the full
  351. effect of the fantastic lighting. For a small scale tour, Moby has amazing
  352. lighting, it is something to watch. 
  353.  
  354. May I also ask, would somebody somewhere PLEASE get a great sounding copy
  355. of "The Sky Is Broken" live version? That ending is pure HEAVEN. I wish the
  356. CD version went on like that with the orchestration then full band coming
  357. in, one of those Moby musical moments that is so beautiful it can bring you
  358. to tears.

  382. I hear you totally.  I didn't really follow Moby but I get to go to San
  383. Diego concerts and Los Angeles concerts as well and it's great.  I got to
  384. see Moby 3 times recently (+ the interview at the Virgin Megastore) and 2
  385. times when he came by at the beginning of the Play tour.  It would be fun to
  386. be able to see the concert every weekend you know?  It IS a lot of fun no
  387. matter how many times I see him.

  426. i've seen both moby and bt live in the past week, and i have something to 
  427. say.
  428. i've loved moby's music for around 7 years or so, and i've been a bt fan 
  429. for only about 3 years i guess, but live, bt kicks the shit out of moby. 
  430. bt played the "quest" club here in minneapolis on tuesday, and moby 
  431. played the previour thrusday. bt blew the roof off the place with his new 
  432. live band, and moby played the same set he's been doing for the past two 
  433. years or so, and moby's band mimed the parts just as badly as ever. bt 
  434. had some really bad vocalists, but other then that, i can't say a bad 
  435. thing about his show. he had at least ten times the energy of moby, as 
  436. well as the members of the band. 
  437. in a nutshell, both are musical masters and i love them both, but moby is 
  438. your dad, bt is your smelly punk-ass skater brother.

  492. I've seen BT live 3 times now (last time was about 3 months ago and he was
  493. by himself).  What is his show like now and how can ANYONE have more energy
  494. than Moby?  That's just humanly impossible...

  496. The recent Moby shows I've seen are more live than before in my opinion.
  497. Before I couldn't hear the keyboard Moby uses but recently (most noticeably
  498. during the slower songs) I could hear it nicely.

  500. Regardless of playing over DAT, songs like Everloving and ANY songs he plays
  501. on guitar are awesome live, display Moby's talent, and worth the price of
  502. admission in itself IMO.

  521. i didn't buy tickets ahead of time because v2 had promised me tickets ages
  522. ago, but couldn't come thru with them. it appears this has something to do
  523. with moby's management hating me for some odd reason.
  524. if you don't know who i am, i run mobymusic.com (which was voted the top
  525. moby site by nme music mag in the uk this week, and will probably be
  526. joining forces with musicfans.com), and i own moby's soul, and along
  527. with the help of a few other ppl on this list am nearing completion of a
  528. full archive of moby's releases, along with a pretty hefty
  529. live/unreleased archive.
  530. anyway, i just really wanna see him this time around (as a similar problem
  531. occured last tour), so if anyone has an extra ticket or knows someone with
  532. an extra ticket, please lemme know.

  579. Oddly enough, listening to my two measly Play-Tour recordings I'm beginning
  580. to think that, with the wealth of material Moby has (and has performed on
  581. this tour), wouldn't it be nice, even just to please himself, if he started
  582. doing things a little differently?

  584. For example, almost every show I've seen recently started and ran in the
  585. exact same order. A couple of songs different here and there, but that's
  586. really all. Machete, Porcelain, Find My Baby, James Bond + Go at the
  587. beginning, Why Does My Heart / Everloving in the same place, and the
  588. obligatory Bodyrock / Honey / Feeling So Real / 1000 ending.

  590. Actrually, I wasn't complaining that much... but since I saw Later, it's
  591. obvious he has so many songs he doesn't play and knows.
