well when you asked about open seating or assigned seating, that would
exclude floor since there would be no seating, which is general admission.
If you didn't go for general admission right away, then you get a
seat....apparently you didn't get one, so you get to watch from afar.  Could
be worse, least it's not like a huge venue or even not getting a ticket.

Has anyone else had the following experience on this latest US tour?

I called The Civic Center here in Madison, Wisconsin concerning Moby's show
on October 9th and asked if it was open seating or assigned seating, and
they told me it was assigned seating only!  I cannot imagine that Moby would
have a show where there is no open floor for everyone to cram into and just
DANCE in front of the stage.  I checked the seating chart online, and it
seems that my seats are in the balcony, but I ordered my tickets the day
they went on sale!

Has anyone else been to, or heard of one of Moby's concerts being seating
only?  Any insight?  Thanks.

I had kind of that same reaction. Moby's music is something
beautiful and i tried to get the dj's at my local club to
understand that. It took great convincing, but now "bodyrock
(olav basoski mix)" and "porcelain (torsten stenzel
instrumental mix)" are packing the floors.

Maybe, just maybe, other people are starting to make that
same connection with moby that I made way back in 1992.

Ok... was that for real?
I mean.. its weird.. because since I've been on this list.. this is the
first posting that Moby has sent out.. ANYWAY.. it's nothing like what I
thought it would be (re: the blatant political advertisement at the end...
and the shit about his friend Paul). No offence (given that I worship at the
church of Moby- har har).. but it was like reading all these bitchy little
posts about hating Gwen Stefani and Eminem etc. (thats no offence to the
people who wrote them either... you guys are all here for the same reason I
am). HELLO! But I mean have I missed a whole chuck of who this guy Paul even
is...?? ANYWAY.. thats not relevant.. it was nice hearing about the touring
and stuff (what little was actually said..).. but most of it was stuff we
knew already (slash all of it)...
Ok.. so it was a post.. next time I hope he talks more about himself and
what he's been up to in terms of making music. ALSO (quickly)..
I'm glad he answered the selling out stuff. I don't believe he sold out at
all and his justification supported that. If I was helping my friends out I
would do the same. If he makes music because he loves it (primarily) and for
the money second.. who gives a shit.. it's his life right?

oh come on now, pink wasn't the worst dressed....did anyone else see brittney's preformance outfit? and as for what pink does for the entertainment buisness? what the hell do most of the people who were at the mtv awards do for the industry?  this is a little un-moby related but i think this sums up the mtv awards pretty good.......

Much Music did a run-through of the show, and it was sooo funny. They said that these were the awards that SHOULD have been given out:

- - most predictable Rage Against the Machine moment: Timmy smashing the
guitar
- - most UNpredictable RATM moment : Timmy climbing on that thing during Limp Bizkit's acceptance speech

and so on, and so forth. I mean, the entire show was people making fun of other people for being the sellouts they are. They're all sell-outs, everyone of them. Eminem's always poking fun at Britney Spears, but he's just as bad... don't even get me started on him. I don't say things this
harsh very often, but I think Eminem should just go and fuck himself, he pisses the crap out of me, he's so damn "high and mighty" compared to all the pop-singers. And his new single... he's such a self-pitying loser. Does he think he's the only one in the music industry who gets mobbed by fans when he's out in the public? I couldn't believe during Eminem's performance, how he slapped high-fives with Carson Daly and   Fred Durst just as he was singing the line that mocks both of them. I mean, come on people. The whole awards show was utter and total shite. I was disgusted with how everyone handled themselves, Rage included. The only group that showed any dignity whatsoever, was N*Sync, and I don't

   I'm sure lots of people are going to be posting these, but I'm desperate---Sun. Oct. 15th is the Moby show at Cornell.. I've been shut out 3 times trying to get tickets to the Hammerstein shows and now because of exams the New Jersey date is inconvenient too.. but I'll drive. I'll drive like all hell to Cornell.  If ANYONE or anyone you know has a ticket to that show that they end up not being able to use, PLEASE EMAIL ME!!! I'm looking for 3 tickets if possible.  I know it's asking the impossible but I know that everyone would try to help a Moby-lover... Thanks!!

lot.  It's practically a duet.  I really like Gwen's voice.

Actually, this is the 9th. Moby e-mail I have received through Mobility in a
year or so...

He (as Moby brought us the sad news) *used* to be a very close friend of
Moby,
they did some film stuff together, made the very funny song "Schaumgummi"
and were in various punk groups (Shopwell, pork guys) groups together. I
don't know

sold moby's soul!
