Why are you so proud of this fact? Why then do you not continue to do so?
Would you put this on your resume? Would you regail your children (if you
have any or will have any) with daddy's happy experiences? What kind of
message would this send to them? Do you want your children to "learn"
knowing that it may mean their life? What if they go on a bad trip and
accidentally kill themselves? What if they develop a psychological
addiction?

This individual said they were "glad" not "proud." Would you rather someone
spend their life regretting certain decisions? Maybe you should be "glad" you
tried alcohol/cigarettes/marijuana whenever you did, because apparently
you've learned that you don't enjoy them. Just because you have personally
had a bad experience with any type of substance doesn't make it right for you
to insult those who have had positive experiences. The bit about the children
was totally off the wall. My father told me that he tried weed when he was
younger, and admitted that he liked it a lot but didn't want it to control
his life as he had seen with some of his friends. He was honest with me and I
could appreciate that. I know kids whose parents smoke pot WITH them. I think
you are greatly overestimating parental impact anyway. I did drugs before my
father told me tried them, and I did them after. My mother had never even
tried cigarettes. Some parents don't have that much of a monumental effect
on their kid's decision to do drugs. Chill out.
