This is a multi-part message in MIME format.

Content-Type: text/plain;

Having a few spare minutes I thought I would translate a short interview
given to a Dutch TV guide Veronica:
Moby: man with a mission
At festivals he lives on attention, but anyone who comes across him in the
street, sees a little man hiding in the hood of his jacket. Sometimes he
looks at the ground, then he looks searchingly ahead. But he never walks
with his head in the air. It appears as if the 34 year old dance-king is
intimidated by life. We asked him.
Celebrities
Celebrities intimidate me. I know that they're no better or worse than me,
but nevertheless I don't feel happy amon them. A lot of celebrities are used
to standing in the spotlight. At parties and birthdays they expect to be the
centre of attention. Personally I can't handle this, and because of this, I
think that is why I have few superstars as friends.
New York
With some cities I get bad vibes. Other times you arrive in a city and you
know it's ok. New York is an ok city, Amsterdam too. Many people who've
never been to New York are intimidated by the hugeness en the height of the
buildings. Not me. Absolutely not. I was born and raised (in New York); and
feel safer here than anywhere else. Maybe that's because I know the city so
well, that if something happens, I know where to go. A couple of years ago I
thought about moving to Amsterdam. Amsterdam is, for me, the centre of
Europe; in a couple of hours you can be in Scandinavia, England or Spain.
Also it is a free and tolerant land where you can walk everywhere. Three
aspects I can't do without.
Women
There isn't one specific woman I shy of, but just to start talking to a
woman without being introduced ... terrifying. I think that that's a
frustration from my youth. As a teenager I was regularly turned down by
women. You know how hard that is, once you've gathered all your courage, to
cross to the other side of the bar to approach the woman of your dreams and
she says 'no'? When I'm now at a party and I see an attractive woman that
I'd like to talk to, I don't know how fast I can get away.
Life
I'm not afraid of life, in fact I love it. I'd go crazy if I only had a
short time to live. There's so much music I've still to make, still so many
things to do. I want to go to South Africa, Sri Lanka and Chile, I want to
see the Aurora Borealis and live in a warm land. If I had only a couple of
months to live, I'd buy a house in the country and two Jack Russell
terriers, swim a lot, make music every free second I had and play with my
dogs ... becuse they're so sweet and hurt nobody!
