Subject: (mobility) Random Moby Notes
Fellow Moby Fans,
Well, I've not written in a while, but after being bombarded with Moby on
the television tonight (well Leno and then Late Late Show with Kilborn) I
felt the urge to write.
As for Leno, I actually enjoyed that Moby played Bodyrock. I was glad it was
not Natural Blues (mostly because I feel its been overplayed, but its still
a great song). However, I really enjoyed the Late Late show much more
because it was just Craig talking to Moby...Craig and Moby were very funny
together. They talked about a lot of funny stuff...sex, sex, and other
things like Religion and STD's (all added to the fun).
Recently I've read a lot of the stuff on the list about Moby becoming
popular and the downfallls to this. In my opinion as long as one likes
Moby's music for one reason for another, its all good. It really does not
matter how long any of us has been listening to Moby, how many releases of
any of us have, how long any of us have been on the list, how many moby
concerts any of us has been too...but I does matter that we all respect his
talent, his diverse music, his diverse FANS, his opinions etc. I hope that
new and old fans don't get in a fight, but I do think old fans should help
the new fans respect the many facets of Moby...Play is not the begining,
Porcelain (even though it is one of my all time favorite songs) is not
Moby's pinnacle, if anything Moby has and will have many pinnacles and
peaks. I just want to celebrate Moby with everyone else while he is at a
peak. I think we all know what its like to see a good band peak and then go
back down for a while, then peak again, the beauty of these groups as
opposed to real one-hit or one time wonders (n'sync, bsb, etc) is that they
stick around, keep making great music despite current popularity. MOby will
continue to do this, and by doing this I think music history will see him as
a great artist.
Anyway...I am very happy Moby is popular now...he is on TV...I can see his
videos, I don't have to search or wait to hear him on the radio...people are
talking about him...its really great!
I think I'll go back to watching a tape of Farmclub with the N.W.A. reunion.
Jake
n.p.- Travis: The Man Who (IMO the best album released in the US this year)

like them both.
does anyone know if you can buy that shirt he was wearing? that was such a
tight shirt! i want a shirt like that. this gotmerch.com site doesn't have

Good question. I expected Porcelain, which is supposed to be the next single...

They're monitors, so the players can hear what they're playing.

He did Bodyrock?? Hm.
Well, maybe he got yelled at because when he did Porcelain on Letterman, he was
just walking around the floor for the first part of the song. The director must
have been crapping in his pants. "He's not doing anything!!! He's just pacing
around!! Why isn't he doing anything!!!"

Think about it this way:
To do something differently means that you must know the normal way of doing
it, right? Because you can't change something around unless there's knowledge
of the original. The mispellings and such are intentional, and I actually like
seeing them, because it gives more personality to the words on the screen. I
would argue that some of the people on the list that choose to write like that
are some of the most interesting and intelligent people around. They are Moby
fans, afterall. :-) (It would probably be aggravating if everyone did it, but
they don't, so..)
Hey Paul, what would you do if you had to write 1,469,320,631? :-)
elissa
ps ...but TyPiNg LiKe ThIs bugs me, too. :-)

Subject: (mobility) SPIN clarification, Netiquette, the show
I'd just like to clarify some stuff:
about the SPIN article, the person who interviewed him
and also reviewed play was Charles Aaron. he also
reviewed all the Moby albums from before 1995 in the
SPIN Guide To Alternative Rock a few years back,
giving EIW a 10 and naming it one of the top 100
albums ever. so like i guess he is a real huge moby
fan or something, and has been for a while. so why the
hell he acts like this in the moby cover story is
beyond me. maybe its becuase theyre paying him to do
stuff like that. it sells better or something. no
wait, that doesnt make sense. you see the cover, not
the story. and i went to the record store today (where
i got a JAPANESE copy of "Aluminum Tunes" for $13!!!)
and the copy of SPIN with Moby on it was rapped in a
plstic bag, and there was a cd inside with a bunch of
MP3s on it i think!!! like, how can they not send that
to the subscribers??? then again, maybe my dad though
it was an AOL demo or something and threw it out, he
got to my copy of it first cuz i was at WPKN looking
for records to play on my show tomorrow at 10 am!
which is probly why i should be home instead of at the
library....
oh, and about this childish spelling of stuff, "Muzik"
is kind of in tribute to the British dance magazine
which i often like to read but cant because its hard
to find here, and "1ne" is something the Sockheads do
all the time, they call it the Klixby number system or
something, and i think it looks cool but if you guys
dont then fine. i guess simple numbers is easier, okay
fine. buT At LeaST i DON't SpElL ShIT Like thIS!!!
oKay?!?!
thanks for telling me that folks, i could very well
say "shut up i can do whatever the hell i want!" but i
choose to be nice and polite because i love you guys.
but remember i am still a kid (16) so thats somewhat
of an excuse to act a lil hyper rite????
anyway,
