I just got the Natural Blues single and I was wondering if anyone knows how
to get a hold of the lyrics to "The Whispering Wind" because I really love
that song. Anyway Thanks

I dont really know. Someone told me once (or rather tried to explain to me)
that the album Animal Rights is a metaphor for sex in its organization, etc.
Hell I wasnt paying attention, really... and it was a long time ago.

The freshly updated Moby discography is now available at my re-styled Moby
site:
http://www.geocities.com/animal_sight/
I've also mailed a copy to Dan, so it should also be on www.moby.org soon.
There are still some big gaps, if you can fill them don't hesitate to e-mail
me the info!

yo mobites,
you may beinterested to know that moby is on the new "plastic 3"
compilation on nettwerk. it's the hybrid remix of "bodyrock". not really
great, but worth a listen. however, the rest of the compilation is tops!
this is quite simply a popular who's who od the progressive movement. it
starts off with bt's mix of "i love you" by sarah mclachlan. not bt's
best effort, but even his half assed stuff is amazing to listen to.
then follows sasha with "xpander." unfortunatly it's the radio edit (don't be
fooled by the track list) because this is quite simply the best song
written in 1999. any genre.
matt darey's mix of delerium's "heaven's earth" is next. bt could have
picked up something from this mix. it's by far the best song on the
compilation. i still have never been able to play this at full speed in
any of my sets. it's a quick one!
oddly, filter makes any apperance with "take a picture" remixed by hybrid.
again, not hybrid's best effort. i've heard another mix of this that tops
the one presented here. a nice song, but it's too bad filter has wussed
out so much over the years.
"dreaming" by bt is next. it's ruined, I MEAN remixed by tiesto. the
original album version is a masterpiece, so i guess any attempt to change
it is bound to failure, as is shown here. this sounds very much like EIW
moby tracks.
than comes our man moby with "bodyrock". as hybrid dosen't use anything
other than the rap from the original, i see no reason moby should be
attached to this song. trademark hybrid here. future school breaks and
wobby baselines.
povi's "dragonflies" (uberzone's mix) and moloko's "sing it back" (tee's
radio mix) follow, both of which i've heard better mixes of. moloko
stands out as the only true house track, even if it's a bad mix.
the immortal chemical brothers are next, and really, what compilation
would be a compilation without them? (and moby for that matter...)
"under the influence" is a typical chem style house track. i can't
remember now if it was on the album or if it's a b-side, but it dosen't
really matter. one of their better dance songs.
beth orton of all people rounds out the cd. this is the ibadan spiritual
life radio edit and completly kills the origional version of "central
reservation" from the album of the same name. it's a feel good mix with
bongos, acustic guitars and lame string sounds. orton is a master of the
happy yet sad sound, much as moby is, and i don't think this mix does her
any justice. it's cookie cutter and flat.
dispite my many objections, i think this is a really good cd for those
who may not have access to a large record shop where they can get the
individual singles. almost every song has a better mix out there, but
this is a good start. i highly recomend it for the non-dj dance fan
looking for the big names. this is a good compilation to branch out from
into more serious stuff. and it's NOT A MIX CD! YEAH!!
