  429. 'gentle' would be it. You can't imagine Moby rising to any 
  430. bait: he only shouts at American politicians in his head, 
  431. and the last time he had a fight was when he was 13, though 
  432. he admits to having 'rough sex'. Intelligent and inspiring, 
  433. he says, 'the one thing that's turned me into a
  434. quasi-tolerant, gentle person is how distasteful it is when 
  435. people aren't like that.'
  436.     'Eclectic' however, would describe the music. He 
  437. might be best known for 'Go', his 1991 tehno track that 
  438. sampled the Twin Peaks theme tune, but he's been through 
  439. several incarnations since then. 1996's 'Animal Rights' saw 
  440. him returning to his thrash punk of his youth, while 1997's 
  441. 'I like to Score' was a compilation of tracks that have 
  442. been used in the movies, including his take on the James 
  443. Bond theme.

  446. arrived in the U.K. to publicise 'Play', his new album of 
  447. hip hop, soul, ambient, blues and big beat flavas. An

  449. spawned by pre-millennial tension...

  541. homosexuality once, or abortion, and when He talks about the
  542. family, He talks about it in kind of disparaging terms. So 
  543. it's strange that the Christian Right in the States is so 
  544. focussed on all things He never talked about. If the Church 
  545. focussed on compassion and love then maybe I'd go back to

  602. hi folks.
  603. um, my name's anne, and i just signed on today (and got about forty
  604. emails, instantly! didn't realize this was such high traffic), but i felt
  605. compelled to post after reading rizwan's post about having met moby. i
  606. just saw him in philly after many missed tours etc., and the show was
  607. amazing, amazing, high energy and kind of restored my faith in the world
  608. (i'm 24 and writing a dissertation about comix, so i don't get out nearly
  609. enough, and i live in delaware, which is not such a great place).  the
  610. best part actually was that since moby was drawing caricatures after the
  611. show (he actually made it a point to meet & talk to folks, which i found
  612. very cool and humbling and inspiring, etc.) i ended up drawing a
  613. caricature of my own for him (since i do an autobio comic zine). i've no
  614. idea if the little cartoon i drew even made it out of the TLA, but it made
  615. my week.
