  38. "My Weakness" is the best track on a very strong album. In fact it is right
  39. up there with the top ten of all Moby tracks. I also dig "southside", and my
  40. take on the song is a fictional gang-banger'ish type person roaming around
  41. town. But that is just my take on it.  I also thing "machete" and "the sky
  42. is broken" are wonderful tracks.

  44. I think Moby's spoken word stuff fits very well into the album and lyrically
  45. I think they are wonderful little poems in there own right.  Especially on
  46. "the sky is broken" the feel of the music with the mood of the spoken word
  47. stuff fits so well. Anyone who lives in a city like NYC can understand the
  48. feeling of the words in that song. Haunting and grand!

  62. you guys & gals know starlings?
  63. well, you have sparrows and starlings, the two most common birds in the
  64. Netherlands.
  65. Now, god gifted these animals with a very special talent:
  66. Namely they are able to imitate not only all other birds, but in fact every
  67. f*cking sound you can make.
  68. So, i discovered this when i had this wireless phone, no mobile, but a thing
  69. you could use around the house, and if it's battery went low, this thing had
  70. an terrible alarming sound,
  71. it would go 'Deng-Deng-Deng' (wait 5 seconds) Deng Deng Deng!'
  72. elektronic way of denging...
  73. so now you can already guess what's coming,
  74. in the summer (whatever that may be) when i slept with my windows open, and
  75. that phone would be left on the table, in stead of its loading device, so
  76. mostly in the morning it would ALARM me: deng deng deng,
  77. and i had to put it on the loader, because otherwise i could not phone all day..
  78. and that's how i learned to get up early in the morning...
  79. but then this SMART-ass starling came in my garden en he started to
  80. reproduce that sound...
  81. so GOOD, that i had to get up at six and found the telephone normally on the
  82. loader... not on the table...
  83. (a few times) ..it was the starling reproducing that sound!
  84.  
  85. So now i hate starlings, because you have these people who have
  86. burglar-alarms on the side of their houses, so if you kick against the wall,
  87. they'll go off for no reason at all, and now I have three!!! of these
  88. starlings, reproducing Burglar-alarms.... and they REFUSE to learn "Gimme
  89. Summer!"
  90. no matter how many times i Play that!

  189.      Last night I was playing WHFS (99.1) in my car, and they announced that 
  190. they would be playing new music from Moby.  I kind of knew they would play 
  191. Bodyrock, but they played a slightly different version.  It wasn't really a 
  192. remix, it was almost exactly the same, and they said it was from the album 
  193. play, and didn't mention it was a different version.  I'm wondering if the 
  194. version I heard will be the version that will be on the single?

  210. They proably played one of two edits of Bodyrock that are on the promo 
  211. single. It's a 3 track with the album version and 2 edits, and I've read 
  212. that the art on the CD itself has a skull over a black background. I'm 
  213. really hoping for a US single for Bodyrock and not just 2 UK ones.

  620. I just checked out the AMP website and the video for "Go" is 4th in the play
  621. list.  I've never seen the video for "Go" so I am going to be glued to the
  622. set.  There will also be the premiere of an Underworld video for "Jumbo".
  623. Looks like it's going to be a good show.  I'm planning on taping it and
  624. possibly converting some of the videos to avis.  If I do I was thinking that
  625. I might make it available in parts for download on the web.  Anyone
  626. interested?  It'll probably be a pretty large download over a week or two.
  627. I'd rather sacrifice download time for better quality.  Especially since
  628. it's Moby and Underworld.
