Good news:
There's a 5:56 full length version of Down Slow on the Run On LCD
single.

Give me summer or give me death! -descendant of Patrick Henry
There, my joke was much worse than yours. I hope there's more tracks in
the fast & dangerous arena on the singles! Thanks for the review, Matos!
It's appreciated. Since you happened to write that review during a
review contest, you're entered.
Quick reminder: Today is the last day of the contest. If 2 more of you
enter before tomorrow, I can declare a winner! (my rules stated a
minimum of 5 different entrants for the UHF 12" prize to be given)
Otherwise, the contest is cancelled. :( All you need to do is a write
review of a Moby CD or record and post it on mobility.
Matos, Bart & Robert, if it IS cancelled, your reviews will be
automatically entered in the potential NEXT contest. Thanks much for
writing.
I'll try to find a good CD prize instead of vinyl for the next contest
to get all of you slacker deadbeats writing. __SPEAK UP__ AND LET ME
KNOW IF THERE IS INTEREST FOR A CONTEST WITH A CD PRIZE. Sorry for
shouting, but attention seems short.
Thanks.

Hey I'll enter just so someone can win. Here is a real simple review of
UHF3(original mix).
Starts out with an energetic feel. Then it progresses to a collaboration
of all sorts of neat noises. Then comes in the repeating piano melody.
Returns to energy for a while, then returns to piano, but this time it
has two overlapping piano melodies with a beat. FIN.
Well I hope someone else writes in so one of you guys who actually has
tried to win gets rewarded for their labors.

that's a swell idea, i'll just write a short review too, because i hate to
see everybody go to all this effort for nothing. here, in less than 100
words is my review of Voodoo Child's "The End of Everything"
This fairly minimal, very beautiful melodic electronic album created by
Moby's alter-ego is the first and one of the only albums that has nearly
brought me to tears due to its emotional impact and amazingly melancholy yet
simultaneously uplifting electronic arrangements. the track titles alone
(dog heaven, patient love, great lake, gentle love, honest love, slow motion
suicide, and animal sight) are enough to allow one to visualize (perhaps a
better word is in order) how the music sounds.

If you people think prices are steep in the U.S. you should
check out the prices here in the U.K. The reason - the
government is trying to stop people using cars, clogging up
motorways and polluting the environment. However, public
transport has gone to the dogs and is even more expensive
to use than the car - so we lose all round.
Does anyone from the U.K. know where the Scala theatre
(London) is? I gather Moby's playing there soon.
Any info appreciated.
Cheers,

2.) Bart Van Eijck - Various Remixes
(Fractal Zoom, Souvenier, Beetlebum, Stella, Everybody is in the Place)
3.) Michaelangelo Matos - Play
4.) David J. Bass - UHF3
5.) Chris Perkins - voodoo Child - The End Of Everything

This is an old concert review I have from a Dallas newspaper dated =
January 25,1993.
Dallas - Out of all the cultral debris that was fluttering around =
Dallas' Bomb Factory until 4 a.m. yesterday morning, it took only one =
man to make sense of it all: Moby
A socially unacceptable New York DJ and producer, Richard Hall (Moby for =
short) made his name in dance music with the release of his year-old, =
self titled debut album, and a succession of club singles.
Wearing last night's jeans and tomarrow morning's sweater, Moby pounced =
on stage a little after 2 a.m., piquing his intricate machinery for a =
sweet, sound introduction.
But as a streak of red light flashed across his shapely face, a =
transfoemation began.
The opening sampled shouts of AH AH disfigured Moby's cute spirit and =
harmless body, remolding it into a chaotic, stage clogging generator. =
Lunging foward-eyes closed, fists flying- Moby threw himself into the =
audience, leaving his entourage of electronic digitizers and sequencers =
to work themselves.

8 MEMORY GOSPEL
This is a GREAT CD and I'm sertainly going to buy it because of some=20
mixes that only used to be (and are going to be) available on 12", but I =
have one complaint:
Why didn't they include MICRONESIA?!?!
Memory Gospel is a cool song, but if I had to choose between Memory=20
Gospel and Micronesia I'd certainly choose Micronesia.=20
IMO they could just as well release a 9-track single including both =
songs....
Well, for those of you in the US who are waiting for this single and =
haven't=20
got an European release I'd suggest to also get the European CD1 =
(CDMute218)=20
I haven't heard the B-sides of Run On yet (I am told they're REALLY =
good) but so=20
far, Micronesia is among my most loved non-album B-sides in my =
collection.
Heh, got that off my chest.....
