connection between nin and moby, but I'll tell you anyway.

And he asked Moby to produce the newgnr album ( he didn't have

1st heard Moby....i first heard 'Go' at a small club in the suburbs of
Chicago called 'Off the Alley'...and in Cancun,Mexico at a club called
La Boom I heard 'Feeling So Real' for the first time the moment I got
back home to Chicago, I rushed out to buy "Everything is Wrong" and
finally decided to buy the self-titled cd as well.
Other artists I like: Chemical Brothers, Smashing Pumpkins, Kill
Hannah, Blur, LTJ Bukem, many many more...
I went to see Moby at the House of Blues in Chicago for my 20th
birthday...after the show i was standing outside talking to my friend
and Richard Hall himself comes walking out with a black winter hat and
black rimmed glasses...he was looking for his tour bus which pulled away
a few minutes before he came outside...for a second there i thought i'd
be giving him a ride to Milwaukee, but the bus was only pulling on the
other side of the building and he was on his way.

I'm a pretty big fan of the metal moby meself.
all that i can think of off of the top of my head is the splash club tracks
however many of them there are. i'll take a shot in the dark and say sevin.
getting all of the splash club tracks is like treasure hunting i think maybe.
metal moby tracks i know:
whip it
love hole
atinitbl
face it
hymn
lets go free [ask steve-or maybe moby.org's discog?]
say it's all mine
someone to love
verb
go
face it
and i dont know if you want to count jon spencer's into the blue or not.
it is metal, but jazz. and slowish.
this is just off my head. there's more i'm sure.
how much more, i am not as no-one can be IMO.

Well, moby didn't release as much rock songs as dance songs.
Here are some rock songs/singles by Moby:
- - The "come on baby" single. (The best release of this single that I think
is
still available is XCDMute200) It includes a rock version of "go" and a Moby
cover of the Devo song "whip it"!
- - Animal Rights Live at the Splash Club (a 4 track promotional single)
- - There is also a VERY metal song called "lovesick" on the "revolver"
single.
- - The "what love" promo CD / 7"
- - The songs "the blue light of the underwater sun" from the EYTM single and
"every one of my problems" from the "revolver" remix single are not real
rock
songs, they have a lot of keyboards, but they also have some distorted
guitares in them...........A cool combination of dance and metal.
I think toghether with your collection this about covers most of Moby's rock
releases.....

Somebody wrote that their music store said that Voodoo Child : The End

so I highly doubt it's out of print. Write me if you need help locating
it.
Moby rock songs... (quotes are from Bart's post on this topic)
>- The "come on baby" single.
Yes, you can still buy the UK 6-track CD. This has Whip It (Death
Metal), Go (live guitar version) & All That I Need Is To Be Loved (live
guitar version). There's also the title song and 2 remixes.
>- Animal Rights Live at the Splash Club (a 4 track promotional single)
This has 4 live Splash Club songs, out of a total of 7. The other 3 are
on Come On Baby. You can only get 2 of those 3 because Hymn live is only
on the 2CD set. So is Love Hole, another great rock song Moby made.
You can get the Live At The Splash Club CD for *_free_* when you order
anything from Mutebank. All you need to do is ask them nicely.
>- There is also a VERY metal song called "lovesick" on the "revolver"
>single.
This is on the black Revolver single, #1.
>- The "what love" promo CD / 7"
A redundant release. This has What Love and ATINITBL (House Of
Suffering), both of which appear on Everything Is Wrong. The only reason
to buy this is for the cover, which has a pale Moby in drag & generic
sunglasses. You can look at this cover at moby.org.
The In Defense Of Animals Benefit CD has a live, very loud rock version
of Let's Go Free. If you've ever seen Moby live, you've heard him scream
'love' quite a lot. You'll hear this here. If you're an Ebayer, look for
a compilation being advertised as Orb, White Zombie, Beastie Boys, &
Bjork, who are also on this CD.
There's also a CD that a Dallas, TX radio station released called Live:
The Edge Sessions Volume II, which has Moby performing Bring Back My
Happiness and Revolver live. Both very good versions. This is frequently
advertised as Beck, No Doubt, & Third Eye Blind.
There's Verb, which is on Schoolhouse Rocks! I don't have this, but I've
heard it and it's pretty good.
New Dawn Fades is on I Like To Score, and about a million other CDs,
including the Japanese Animal Rights. There's other guitar numbers on
ILTS, like Nash, and James Bond Theme, which is another techno/rock
hybrid.
Moby remixed Jon Spencer's Greyhound, and it's a guitar remix that
you'll probably like. It on Spencer's Remixes Experimental CD.
There's probably one or two remixes I'm forgetting that qualify as rock,
but oh well. I hope I helped clarify a bit.

BTW, the '99 Mayday page has been created and added in English, French,

Ok. This has been bothering me long enough. I know I will probably get smacked

KLF is. Please don' kill me! I have a feeling I might know their songs or
something, but I have never put this name with anything. And since everyone is
always talking about them, could one of you tell me something? Please!
By the way, does any of you have the Japanese release of JBT?It comes in a
normal size jewel case and I didn't compare the track listings, but I know the
last track is like a breakdown of all the parts of the song. Maybe something
like what they did for ETYTM/FSR (can't remember). Anyone have this and is it
worth getting for anything else? Thanks Later.

Moby's Play Due June 15 On V2
It's been a long time in the making, but Moby has
finally signed a North American record deal. V2 got
his John Hancock last week and will release the
first album of his longterm contract, Play, on June 15.
Moby is still signed to Mute outside of North America.
The first single from the album will be "Run On" in
the U.K., and probably a combination of "Honey" and
"Run On" in the U.S., due May 11, says Moby's manager
Barry Taylor of MCT Management. Meanwhile, "Memory Gospel"
is being used in the new Adidas commercial, which was
directed by Mike Mills, who also lensed the
"Run On" clip.
Play, which has been in the can since early this year,
features samples of field recordings from Alan Lomax
from pre-1940s field workers in the south on such songs
as "Natural Blues" and "Honey." The album was produced
and mixed by Moby, with Mario Caldato Jr. (who produced
Hello Nasty with the Beastie Boys) mixing "Honey."
Taylor says they're hoping to tour in July. A
spokesperson for V2 says they are also planning album
release parties in June with Moby spinning in eight
to 10 major markets. Also, look for Play to be the
album of the month in England's The Face magazine in
May. As for Moby's independent film project, Porno,
that flick has been put on hold for now.

The 2CD is a Mute release (CDMUTE200) and it is VERY rare!
here's a piece from the moby discography by Daniel Creman:
Limited edition of 10000 copies worldwide, including 5000 in the UK.
This single is a double CD in a black rubber sleeve. Live tracks were
recorded
at the Splash Club in July 1996. Promos have "Moby" and "come on baby" in
orange print, rather than the black rubber impressions of the public
version.
Disc 1: (20:29)
1 3:50 Come On Baby [with fade
out]
2 3:40 Love Hole
3 4:19 Whip It (death metal version)
4 2:42 Go (live at the Splash Club)
5 3.35 All that I need is to be loved (live at the Splash Club)
6 2:14 hymn (live at the Splash Club)
Disc 2: (15:37)
1 3:38 Come on baby (Eskimos and Egypt 7" mix)
2 7:12 Come on baby (Christal method mix)
3 4:41 Come on baby (Eskimos and Egypt 12" mix)
