Here's what's happening this week/day/minute (it changes too friggin' often):
Stranglers - all stuff from the UA years
Buzzcocks - anything
Ultravox - HA!HA!HA! & Systems of Romance
Francoise Hardy - early stuff
System of a Down - S/T
Saint Etienne - Good Humor
Gotta admit, Moby's on the backburner at the moment=2E

Yeah, we got political strife, looming international conflicts, the milleneum parties, possible Armageddon, Moby's new album, perhaps contact with an alien species, media-led widespread insanity, and more of Mr. Bourke being nasty. Me being a windbag, too.
The solution to all of the world's problems is, quite simply, turn up the music louder.
(insert sanctimonious "don't trivialize amphibian rights with jokes" response here)
Yeah, yeah, whatever. Relax, booze up, eat some cookies, whatever, and have a Happy New Year. Play some older Moby bootyshakers and ppaarrttyyyyy.

? How was I "nasty," I meant my response to be "funny," a comical comment
intended to elicite a joyous response... I thought it was at least kitsch
if not funny
Anyway, I was watching some cable channel and NBC was advertising the
network premeire fo the movie Heat, and who's track from the movie
they chose to put on the commercial? Moby!~ I forgot the name of the
track, but I'm sure many people know already, it's on ILTS i believe.

Yep, I saw it too. The track used in the trailer is "God Moving Over the
Face of the Water", which is included (along with his cover of "New Dawn
Fades") on the Heat Soundtrack. Good soundtrack overall, actually.

IT IS HAPPENING AGAINN.....
hee hee if i had to indulge in any 1999 cliche, that would definitely
be it. my only resolution is to not even mention that prince one at
all.
anyway, um happy new year!!!!!!! and i saw an article about moby in
home recording magazine. winter 99 edition. it has a few pictures of
his studio, and him holding a guitar (with a honey pumkpkinhead
sticker on it) but it isnt very revealing. it says that flea and jewel
are two of his best friends, and that neither of them could go with
him to the tomorrow never dies premier because they had the flu. it
says the new cd has been a year in recording (or so) and it is hip hop
influenced, and that their are guitars, but not in the hard rock
sense, more of a funky wah wah sense. like on honey. but we kinda new
that already.
so if you want to see what his studio looks like (kinda small, at
least what they showed there, and theres tons a boards and decks and
wires and samplers and shit like dat, and some huge moby posters
plastered on the back wall.), and what gear he uses (doesnt say
much...i forgot it anyway. didnt by the mag.)
pcik p home recording magazine. it doesnt say about moby on the cover,
only the table of contents and in the story.
and also, pick up the new pj harvey cd, it rawks. ill send my best of
