Hi boys and girls,
My name is Peter and I've just stumbled upon (quite literally!) Mobility in
a far flung website. Here's a bit of info all about me.
I'm 19 yrs old and in AV Technical Support, I love techno/trance music,
esp. Moby(obviously), Orbital, Aphex Twin and CJ Bolland.
I'm a li'l bit bemused as to what else to say at the moment, but I'll try
and get up to speed with you all, and join in. You have been warned!

Actually it's "Everytime You Touch Me" (fucked up mix)... a studio
thrash version of the track Moby recorded during the AR sessions and
only on a UK compilation tape....

Hello one & all!
Well, I've struck a deal and will be getting the Next Is The E 12".
US, I gather. I'm also getting bunches of Wink records, too. If you're
curious, he did the Bring Back My Happiness remix w/ the 303-like
progression, giving it the acid sound.
If anyone on the list would like to sell any Moby vinyl, let me
know. (somehow I doubt I'll get a reply, but I have to try)

The NME tape with underworld's Oich Oich on it as well....that version
is easily the coolest rendition of a track Moby's done....

Good evening!!
Today I found 3 (identical) moby promo posters for animal rights.
It is 24 by 36 inches, has a b&w head shot of moby in a fit of rage, and=20
says moby in big lime-green letters, and animal rights in white.
anyway, I'm keeping one for myself, giving one to sarah, so I've got one=20

If anyone is interested in trading some
other Moby(or Bj=F6rk) promo posters, stickers, patches ect. for my=20
remaining A.R. poster, please let me know privatley!=20
btw, I've got sturdy poster tubes for mailing.
Thanks,

I personally like Living the best. I really like the whole thing, but
Living is just incredible (not as if Most if not all moby's music is
incredible).

I have only seen multiple copies of ILTS and AR in the stores i shop
(in the Denver, CO, USA, area. I hope more singles and Mixed and remix
come this way.). I have seen the Mixmag album with him and sven vath on
it in more than one store, but I never have the money to buy it...I will

Subject: (mobility) What Hymn Mix?
I just recently heard a mix of Hymn, very like the "this is my dream"
version, but more progressive and has harder drums. It starts off with a
woman stating a poem which ends something like "......and we all build our
castles in the sky!" over the start of the song. Can anyone tell me what mix
this is? I dont seem to have it on my Hyms single.

I've heard every official version of "Hymn", and that's not one
of them. I think I've seen that "castles in the sky" quote posted
somewhere before, though. Hmmm...

What type of material is Moby playing on his current tour - rock..
rave.. or whatever?
Are the trophy releases any good?
finally, one item missing from most peoples listed discographies is that
infamous speed metal fucked mix of Everytime You Touch Me... on a Select
compilation tape in the UK 9/96 called 'Cloud 9'.

picked up a promo copy of ESCM. That CD is really good, and I was wondering if
his other stuff is like that as well. Sorry for off topic. Later.

He's playing about 80% dance/beat/rave/whatchamacallit and 20% Rawk!, and he
plays JBT w/ a gi-tar.

if you want moby's enhanced cd to work, hook up with a mac. i tried it
on my brother's mac, and it had no problem working. musicians tend to
prefer macs anyway, so it seems.
for composing and such.
i listened to 'move' for the first time in quite a while. i forgot how
messed up 'morning dove' is. it's eery.lots of strange reverbed-out
sounds. what's everyone's opinion on this song? it seems to be
under-rated. but hey, that's me.
just a couple of observations i made.
that is all.

I agree, "Morning Dove" is underrated. It's like Moby is constructing
a jungle of sound (no relation to drum & bass music). Very cool. It
usually comes as a surprise to me, too. When I play the _Move_ EP
after a long absence, I don't even think about "Morning Dove". It's
just a track that's between ATINITBL and "Move (Disco Threat)". Then
it plays and just makes me jump up onto my feet. The way it builds
up is just incredible. I guess I forget how good it is only because
it is outshone by the ATINITBL and "Unloved Symphony". But maybe I'm
overrating it now. Instead of deciding how good it is, I'll just do
what I always do: get lost in Moby's magnificent _Move_ EP. =^)
