Yes I have the EIW Mix CD. It was the first Moby CD I ever bought, and even
if I've had it for more than a year it's still the CD I play the most. This
compilation consist of two CDs which includes two continous mixes of mixes
and remixes of songs on the EIW album.
My advice would be : GET IT ASAP.
I dont think you'll ever regret it. But of course if you have most the
remixes from before 25 Dollarez is much to pay for it....

hey there...
my name is james raiswell, i'm 21. (i feel like i'm at some sort of AA
meeting, here...!)
uhm.. i first heard "everything is wrong" from a friend of mine. i wasn't
totally thrilled with it - the instrumental were fabulous, but it was too
dance-ish for my liking at the time.
anyway, after a while i bought it, and animal rights, i like to score, a
couple of singles (drop a beat, move) and i also picked up rare/go.
i'm absolutely blown away by everything instrumental moby has ever
written. his song, shining, off the jackal soundtrack is amazing, for
example.
so i dunno. call me a "new" fan, but one who's borderline obssessed.
and that's all abount me.

No.. Tattoo is a song with starts with bagpipes, a lot a-la scotch
(or gallego if you know those men in north of Spain which wear kilts
and also play the bagpipes). It's a song of that to which M. Oldfield
is used to composing.

Hehehe... I only know well TB II, in which tattoo is.

Welcome James!
I take it you like 'God Moving Over The Face Of The Waters', also. Since
you're not one for dance music (I used to hate in years past) was there
anything you liked on Rare/Go? Mobility (Aqua Mix) was the first song to get
me hooked on Moby, followed by Go (Amphetamix). If you ever feel inspired to
get the Bring Back My Happiness single, I'm sure you'll enjoy 'Alone', which
is in line with God & Shining. Maybe the Josh Wink mix, as its acid
progressive feel eclipses the dance/house feel. What did you like on Move?
Based on your taste, my guess would be Rain Falls & Unloved Symphony. Am I
way off here? Let me know.
Later

lets face it, if we all did what moby would do, we'd end up having sex all

but really, moby, and everyone else, is just a techno/rock artist. he is not
a god, and never admits to such. by asking ourselves what moby would do in a
situation, we undermine our own sence of self worth. personally, i would not
like to live in a society which defines anyone (including Moby and Jesus) as a

Hey all--
I'm sitting here reading all the posts today, when suddenly a thought
strikes me. I know there a very many techno fans out there on this list,
but what about non-techno fans? Does anyone actually hate techno but like
Moby? Oddly enough, I was like that for a while...since then, I'm
starting to like a couple of techno acts, especially BT (thanks a million
to the people who suggested him). Even so, I'm still into mostly emo,
math rock kind of stuff. So is anyone with me on this, or is this a
rarity? Just curious...
Keep on keepin' on,

... i'm liking dance music that much more, really. i used to be into the
whole "if it doesn't have live musicians and heavily distorted guitars, it
sucks" phase. blame my transition over to dance/techno/trip hop/etc on
moby for one and trent reznor for another.
i'm a *huge* fan of first cool hive. man, the bass... wow.
otherwise, you're frighteningly right on most of my tastes. i'm loving
next is the e, which has to be one of my faves off rare/go. that, and
thousand, of course.
the go CD really blew me away. i was expecting it to be sort of NINish, in
the way that trent does 14 mixes of one song, and separates them track for
track so that you really do have to listen to 14 versions of the same
song. i was impressed all to hell when moby mixed them together (more or
less) as one complete song.

I wouldn't take it too heavily. If to you Moby is a symbol of
thoughtfulness, good. I agree with you that many issues are not clear cut
black/white issues. It's often hard to say that one side is right and the
other wrong. It's usually they're both right and both wrong. I also agree it
is good to get people thinking, although I don't think those wristbands
would be very successful. Catch people's attention the wrong way. Have a
