Jimi was, and always will be, the greatest guitarist of all time,
with Stevie Ray Vaughn second. Jimi didn't have anything left to prove
guitar-wise, so God took him to play up there. He's probably teaching God
some licks right now. D.

if I recall correctly, they took a cute short MTV showed and turned it

expanded it.
where Joe get a NY apartment infested with roaches... but the roaches are
friendly sort of, and share the apt.. ruin joe's date... etc..
never seen it - so I am curious to what Moby does in it.

Moby plays the DJ at the club where Joe's band Shit plays. He has one line:
"Ladies and Gentlemen, they're loud, they're here, they're... SHIT!!!"
He also contributed three songs to the soundtrack, one of which is on I Like
To Score.

Sorry, that i have to inform you that G. (up there) don't play Guitar himself,
he just listens...
I agree with you that Steve Ray Vaughn was a nice guy,
and since he is dead already, he must be real good...
but i'm sorry for ye if you put him Number 2 on your Poll list...
'cause you missssss so much.... (god is enjoying every day!)
Stevie R. Vaughn had terrific ears... he could play all kinds of things Jimi
did...
but if you listen to (for instance) Walter Trout (forget the Band part), or
Jeff Healey (yeah the blind guy)
you'll hear, that it CAN be learned...
It seems possible to SOUND like jimi all the way....
But that is not a NEW guitargod....
Cloning is not creating.
The best Guitar player of this century was Mr. F. Zappa,
he played guitar from 1966 up to including 1988, and most of it was recorded.
And if you don't believe me, it's okay with me...
but you m i s s so much.....
in a few weeks or so, when i have sound on my Web-Site,
i'll give you some examples
if i can solve that (d*rn) problem with that Frame that keeps hanging,

Moby is the best guitarist on the moby list...
but really, there are many many excellent guitarists in the world, and
all discussion of such is academic.
Does anybody know what Moby is up to at the moment and when he may tour

Well, what about Terry Kath (of Chicago)? Jimi himself even
said to the group that Terry was better than he was. Coming from, arguably
the most idolized guitarist of all time, that means even more than a
compliment (if there is such a thing.)
It is a shame, though, that all the good guitarists die too
early on. There are a lot of good guitarists that go unrecognized. Stevie's
brother, Jimmie, is a fabulous guitarist, too. So was Kurt Cobain (my
idol). However, I think we're getting way off the subject, though, so...

P.S.: Even Skid Row did "Little Wing", so anybody could do it!

Like any (every) good member of the Mobility mailing list. I am completing my
homework assignment as instucted.
My name is Eric Fletcher. I'm 16 years of age. As ashamed as I am to admit
it (this is an incredible act of will) I am only in possesssion of "I Like To
Score." No other one cd by Moby do I have. I first heard Moby on "The Saint"
soundtrack. I was incredibly impressed and that same day bought "I Like To
Score." I like Orbital, Underworld, KMFDM, Aphex Twin, KoRn, Daft Punk, The
Chemical Brothers, and much, much more. Beyond that I'm not sure what else to
tell. My friends enjoy my efforts in producing music, but it's nothing too
special, so...

you're so right! i hate it when people trash Kurt because he never played
any flashy solos. so what? being a guitarist is not about playing scales and
modes and more scales, it's about playing with feeling and creativity. that
is why guitarists like van halen and yngwie(sp) malmsteen will never be half
as good as the likes of Kurt, George Harrison or The Edge.

Well, for one: he's a mainstream artist, so he's not usually considered
part of the 'club.' (Whether this is good or bad depends on if you consider
the CCM industry to be part of a ghetto or not.) Also, he's not exactly
your average socio-politically conservative church-goer. Still, he has a
good number of fans in the CCM area, and several Xn techno bands have
sampled him.
I asked John J. Thompson, editor of _True Tunes News_, why his magazine
kept running stories on conversions of musicians like Alice Cooper and
Samantha Fox. Since they are the probably the best alternative CCM mag,
they had an excellent opportunity to run a story from a more traditional Xn
point of view, on Moby, who was making a big noise in the music world. John
replied that he would be very encouraged by something Moby said, then be
disappointed when Moby would say something about anal sex, and they weren't
really sure where he was coming from.

Dont know. I've searched on IMDB (which sometimes have in their records
movies still not finished, as Mission Impossible II), but no luck.
Last film called "Porno" is a Poland one (1990) :)

Today I've been buying books to prepare my Computer Science exams. I
thought it could be a good chance to see what was new on the CS market,
and found some curiosities...
Couldnt avoid going till the music floor of the mall I used to harvest
CDs, and finally I bought some CD-case (I have some which are a bit
ruined), and I found the End of Everything of Voodoo Child just by
accident. I had never found such a CD on that mall before, and just
checked out if there was some from Moby, and...
At last found it!!! I had the EIO original version, but I was looking
forward to get this. Now I'm listening to the first CD, and it's
blasting... It's a pity I'm at office and not on a dance club. :)
