Are they takeoffs?  I called Dunlop a couple of years ago looking for some,
I was curious about price, though I'm not particularly "empressed" with the
tire..Dunlop said it is only sold new by Kawasaki.  Being always open to
learning something new, do you know something about these tires I don't,
with regard to how they're sold?

1st gear, clutch in, enough distance in front of you to allow you to escape
if necessary. If lane sharing is legal in your area, then I suggest you
carefully give it a try in stopped traffic. Reason is,it's near impossible
to be directly hit from behind if you are riding between the cars. Just have
to look out for cars coming from the side and of course running into the
cars in front. Here in the SF bay area, CA. traffic is so dense that sudden
lane changes(during rush-hour)are not too common and cagers usually give us
M/Cs plenty of room. Occassionally you will see someone who has different
expectations based on cultural differences.(Out-of-staters).
However if there is an accident while you are lane splitting , you will be
at fault, even if it's legal to do.So lookout for looky-lou's and old beater
car's that suggest the driver has nothing to lose.

I visited Campbell River once.  What a neat little town.  The people were
some of the friendliest I have ever meet.  They gave us a free grand tour
of the lumber mill.  Anything a Campbell River residence suggests sounds
like a winner to me.

HI,it,s Ken in Campbell River ,on Vancouver Island -95 Triumph Tiger.

If we all put our location & bike type on our postings,the others can get
a feel for the flow.I went last summer to a place about 90 miles north of
Lilloett,just off the Fraser River Canyon that has 100's of mile of logging
road & old mining trails within 1/2 day's ride of some spectacular camping
on a pristine lake,about 5 hours north of Vancouver.There's my suggestion.
Because of the altitude(3000 ft),the temperature would
make it best in July or August

 Tom, thanks for the review. Two questions I have are: 1) how close to the tire do you have the UFO fender? Is it optional as far as height off the tire. I don't want it so close the mud can pack between it and the tire 2) and is this fender available only in black as I have heard?

compromise high speed handling (85-90mph) in any way?? + Where in Texas are
you? I've spent quite a bit of time in the Big Bend area, both sides of the

    What you see is a new no-hole windshield system that I've designed
and have
    been testing.  It features quick-detach safety break-away mounts,
and is
    very light and rugged.

    It replaces the entire steel tubing front end fairing mount of the
KLR with
    a sturdy aluminum framework, actually saving weight!  With the
windshield
    detached, for dirt riding mode, it could double as a number plate
holder,
    and does not interfere with the rider.

Uh, yea?  I live in Kailua and frequently drive through Kaneohe a few
times a day to go to the gym/school/work.  My bike is green with givi
e45 tail bag, e36 side bags, black acerbis hand guards pro with
spoilers, white acerbis front disk guard, kawi tank bag, Tim's highway
pegs, bash plate,and northwest rack.

I couldn't have been going but 2.5 miles over the speed limit, right?

Must've been me, there aren't any others around Kailua, Scot Davenport
has one.

Well gotta get going so I don't have to sp-e-e-d.
